Interchangeable eyewear/head-mounted device assembly with quick release mechanism
A head-mounted device includes a central frame support and at least one removably connected optics arm. The at least one optics arm has first and second free ends that are removably connected to a second end of the central frame support at a point between the first and second free ends. The optics arm extends away from the central frame support and is configured to present information to the user via a display device.
FRAME FOR SPECTACLES
A frame for spectacles includes a front mount with respective lateral lugs provided for articulation of respective arms producing an articulated connection of each arm to the front mount. Each lug includes a hinge pin extending between a pair of surfaces of the lug axially opposite each other in a hinge axis direction. Each arm includes a first arm portion extending as a second arm portion with a lesser longitudinal extent with respect to the first arm portion. The second arm portion is bent on the first portion in a position facing it, the pin is interposed between the first arm portion and second arm portion in order to produce a hinge connection. The second arm portion having a convex portion directed towards the first arm portion, which at least partially surrounds the pin so that relative positioning is maintained between the arm and pin during rotation of the arm.
Eyeglasses
Spectacle having two temples which are each articulated via a pivot connection to an optical central section which covers the field of vision in the position of use and can be pivoted from a storage state, in which the temples are applied to the optical central section, to an operating state, in which the temples are folded out from the central section, the optical central section being manufactured from a flexurally elastic material. The two temples are each articulated to the central section via a curved pivot axis of the pivot connection or via at least two linear pivot axes of the pivot connection arranged transversely to one another. In this way, glasses can be produced in which, in the position of use, light entering laterally, which does not cross the optical central section but nevertheless reaches the eye of the wearer, is largely suppressed.
MULTIPLE DEGREE OF FREEDOM HINGE SYSTEMS AND EYEWEAR DEVICES COMPRISING SUCH HINGE SYSTEMS
A multiple degree of freedom hinge system is provided, which is particularly well adapted for eyewear, such as spatial computing headsets. In the context of such spatial computing headsets having an optics assembly supported by opposing temple arms, the hinge system provides protection against over-extension of the temple arms or extreme deflections that may otherwise arise from undesirable torsional loading of the temple arms. The hinge systems also allow the temple arms to splay outwardly to enable proper fit and enhanced user comfort.
EYEGLASSES
Disclosed are eyeglasses related to the wearable technology. The eyeglasses include a frame and two temples. Each of two ends of the frame includes a containing groove. Each temple includes a body structure and a connecting structure. One end of the body structure is rotatably connected to the connecting structure, and the other end of the body structure is oblique to the one end of the body structure. The connecting structure is capable of being in the containing groove. The connecting structure is detachably connected to the frame. In a case where the connecting structure moves away from the containing groove in a first direction, the connecting structure is capable of being disconnected from the frame. The first direction is perpendicular to the length direction of the frame.
REVERSIBLE EARPIECE, HEAD-MOUNTED DEVICE WITH REVERSIBLE EARPIECE AND RELATED METHOD
A reversible earpiece for a head-mounted device includes (a) a first body section, (b) a second body section, (c) a cooperating pivot and a receiver and (d) a cooperating locking ball and a guide track. The receiver is adapted to receive and hold the pivot. The guide track is adapted to receive and hold the locking ball.
Foldable reading glasses
Folding reading glasses of the type in which the temples fold around the lenses, in which the temples are supported and removably attached to the lenses while folded, providing greater integral strength to the entire assembly and resisting breakage. Several methods for attachment of the temples to the lenses are disclosed, including an interference fitting member in the temple that grasps the lens frame in the vicinity of the lens, and multiple embodiments of an interference fitting member in the temple that grasps a mating member on the outer edge of the lens frame. Combinations of these embodiments are also possible.
BESPOKE EYEWEAR AND SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING BESPOKE EYEWEAR
The present disclosure provides a bespoke eyewear and a system and a method for manufacturing the bespoke eyewear. In one aspect, the method for manufacturing the bespoke eyewear frame includes capturing one or more facial images of a user using an image capturing device, generating a facial model from said one or more facial images, extracting a plurality of facial parameters from the facial model, generating a three-dimensional digital model of an eyewear frame based at least in part on one or more of the facial parameters of the user, and transmitting the three-dimensional digital model to an additive manufacturing apparatus for additively manufacturing the bespoke eyewear frame.
Eyeglass Frame Lens Lock
An eyeglass frame is disclosed comprising a bridge and two rims connected by the bridge. Each rim is configured to contain a lens. The eyeglass frame also comprises two split end pieces. Each split end piece comprises a first portion and a second portion. Each split end piece is coupled to and extends outward from a corresponding rim of the two rims on a side of the corresponding rim opposite the bridge. The eyeglass frame further comprises two temples. Each temple comprises a lock on an end of the temple. The lock is configured to at least partially contain both the first portion and the second portion of the split end piece and secure the temple to the corresponding rim and secure the lens within the corresponding rim.
Glasses with hinge structure with temple clip
In a first aspect, a pair of eyeglasses is provided and includes a lens and frame assembly that includes at least one lens, a first temple and a second temple, and a hinge structure pivotally connecting each temple to the lens and frame assembly. The hinge structure includes two first projections which are spaced apart from one another. Each first projection has a first pivot member thereon. The first projections extend from one of said temple and said lens and frame assembly. The other of said temple and said lens and frame assembly has two second pivot members that pivotally mate with the first pivot members. The first projections are resiliently flexible for movement between a use position in which the first pivot members are pivotally mated with the second pivot members, and a disengagement position in which the first pivot members are withdrawn from the second pivot members so as to permit the temple and the lens and frame assembly to be separated from one another. A blocking member is removably mountable in abutment with the first projections so as to prevent movement of the first projections to the disengagement position.
