A lens moving apparatus includes a housing, a bobbin disposed in the housing, a first coil disposed on the bobbin, a magnet configured to move the bobbin in a first direction parallel to an optical axis by an electromagnetic interaction with the first coil, an elastic member coupled to the bobbin, and a second coil disposed on the housing. A first portion of the second coil is coupled to the housing. The second coil generates an induction voltage resulting from an inductive interaction with the first coil when the bobbin moves in the first direction.

An embodiment comprises: a housing; a bobbin disposed in the housing; a coil disposed on the bobbin; a magnet disposed in a side portion of the housing, and including a first side surface facing the coil and a second side surface opposite to the first side surface; and a yoke disposed in the upper portion of the housing and overlapping the magnet in the optical axis direction, wherein: the centerline of the magnet is located on one side with reference to a reference line; a first groove adjoining one end of the first side surface of the magnet is disposed at a first end of the magnet; a second groove adjoining the other end of the first side surface of the magnet is disposed at a second end of the magnet; the reference line passes through the center of the housing and is perpendicular to the outer surface of the side portion of the housing where the magnet is disposed; and the centerline of the magnet is a straight line passing through the center between the first end and the second end of the magnet and perpendicular to the first side surface of the magnet.
CAMERA MODULE THAT PERFORMS IMAGE STABILIZATION
A camera module includes a lens assembly aligned along an optical axis, an optical image stabilization (OIS) carrier coupled to the lens assembly to move the lens assembly on a plane perpendicular to the optical axis, and a housing to accommodate the lens assembly and the OIS carrier. A first OIS magnet and a second OIS magnet are fixed to a first side surface of the OIS carrier, and are arranged side by side on the first side surface along a direction perpendicular to the optical axis. A first OIS coil member and a second OIS coil member face the first OIS magnet and the second OIS magnet, respectively. A first portion of the first OIS magnet is adjacent to the second OIS magnet and a second portion of the second OIS magnet is adjacent to the first OIS magnet.

An embodiment comprises: a base including a body having an opening, and a first post portion, a second post portion, a third post portion, and a fourth post portion which protrude from the body; a bobbin disposed on the body; a coil disposed around the bobbin; a first magnet disposed between the first post portion and the second post portion; a second magnet disposed between the third post portion and the fourth post portion; a lower elastic member coupled to the lower portion of the bobbin and the base; and an upper elastic member coupled to the upper portion of the bobbin and the first to fourth post portions, wherein the lower elastic member is disposed inside the first to fourth post portions of the base, and the lower elastic member is coupled to the base between the first post portion and the fourth post portion adjacent to the first post portion.

A lens driving apparatus includes a cover member; a housing disposed inside the cover member; a bobbin disposed inside the housing so as to move in a first direction; a first coil disposed on an outer circumferential surface of the bobbin; a first magnet coupled to the housing; an upper elastic member disposed on the upper side of the bobbin and coupled to the bobbin and the housing; a base disposed on a the lower side of the housing and coupled to the cover member; a substrate disposed between the housing and the base and including a circuit member having a second coil disposed to be opposite to the first magnet; and a plurality of support members connected to the upper elastic member and the substrate. Each of the plurality of support members is disposed in the proximity of the edge of the upper elastic member, and wherein the support members are connected to the upper elastic member at a position where a length in the x direction and a length in they direction are different on the basis of the edge of the upper elastic member.
Camera with Folded Optics
Various embodiments include a camera with folded optics and lens shifting capabilities. In some examples, a folded optics arrangement of the camera may include one or more lens elements and one or more light path folding elements (e.g., a prism). Some embodiments include voice coil motor (VCM) actuator arrangements, carrier arrangements, and/or suspension arrangements to provide autofocus (AF) and/or optical image stabilization (OIS) movement. Furthermore, some embodiments include position sensor arrangements for position sensing with respect to AF and/or OIS movement.

A camera module includes first to third lens groups; a first mover configured to move the second lens group in the optical-axis direction; a second mover configured to move the third lens group in the optical-axis direction; a base accommodating the first mover and the second mover; a support ball disposed to be in rolling contact with the first mover, the second mover, and the base, the support ball supporting movement of the first mover and the second mover relative to the base; a driving magnet coupled to each of the first mover and the second mover; and a coil part coupled to the base, the coil part being disposed to face the driving magnet, and wherein an entirety of a surface of the driving magnet that faces the moving coil serves as a first pole.

A camera module may include a camera housing, a camera assembly, at least a portion of which is accommodated in the camera housing, the camera assembly including a lens, an image sensor, and a first printed circuit board (PCB), and the camera assembly being coupled to the camera housing so as to be rotatable about a center of rotation of the camera assembly, a second printed circuit board, at least a portion of which is disposed in the camera housing to face the first printed circuit board, a first wireless communication module disposed on at least a portion of the first printed circuit board, and a second wireless communication module disposed on at least a portion of the second printed circuit board, and the first wireless communication module and the second wireless communication module wirelessly transmit and/or receive a signal related to the camera module. The camera module includes a carrier; a lens holder accommodated in the carrier; an optical image stabilization (OIS) cover coupled to the carrier and disposed on the lens holder; and first buffer members coupled to the OIS cover, wherein a distance between the lens holder and the first buffer member is less than a distance between the lens holder and the OIS cover.
