Mattress
A mattress includes a base layer having a first surface and a second surface arranged opposite to the first surface. The base layer defines a plurality of slots extending from the first surface to the second surface and arranged in a plurality of rows in a staggered arrangement. The mattress also includes a plurality of hoop assemblies arranged inside the plurality of the slots. Each hoop assembly includes a hoop arranged vertically inside the slot and a central axis of the hoop extends substantially horizontally and parallel to the first surface. The hoop is configured to compress under a load.
CUSTOMIZABLE CUSHIONING STRUCTURE FOR ADDRESSING MEDICAL CONDITIONS AND SYMPTOMS
A cushioning structure may be provided that utilizes multiple layers of differing materials, each providing a different aspect of comfort, cooling, and support. In one aspect of the invention a first layer comprises an elastomeric gel supported in a foam structure. In another aspect an additional layer comprises a liquid gel-infused viscoelastic foam. In a further aspect, an additional layer comprises a high-density polyurethane foam. In a further aspect, an additional layer comprises a foamed latex.
PRODUCTION AND SERVICE OF A REARRANGEABLE MATTRESS
A method including receiving an input regarding a mattress assembly from an end user, the input including an indication of a desired feel and a plurality of current layers included in the mattress assembly, querying a database using the received input, receiving a list of layers and a layer arrangement from the database in response to the query, determining if the plurality of current layers matches the list of layers, identifying at least one of a specialty layer or a replacement layer when the plurality of current layers do not match the list of layers, determining a recommendation including the list of layers, an indication of a cost of the identified at least one of the specialty layer or the replacement layer when the plurality of current layers does not match the list of layers, and the layer arrangement, and sending the recommendation to the end user.
Multi-layered cushioning support
Multi-layer cushion supports are described which may generally comprise a first support having a first contact surface for contacting a portion of a body and a second surface opposite to the first surface, the first support defining a central chamber and a peripheral chamber surrounding the central chamber, wherein the first support is filled with a first gas or liquid and a second support attached to the first support along the first contact surface. The second support may be filled with a second gas or liquid which is relatively more viscous than the first gas or liquid. In particular, the first support may be filled with a volume of air and the second support may be filled with oil which is less than the volume of air.
Ventilated comfort layer
A bed assembly includes a mattress that has rails that define an outer perimeter of the mattress and an inner core defined between the rails of the mattress. Springs are positioned within the inner core. A comfort layer including ventilation openings is supported by the rails of the mattress so that the comfort layer covers the mattress and the ventilation openings are in fluid communication with the inner core. In some instances, the comfort layer is positioned so that the ventilation openings are aligned with coil openings defined through the springs within the mattress.
MATTRESS WITH BREATHABLE AND VENTILATION FUNCTIONS
A mattress includes a plurality of layers vertically stacked to one another, the plurality of layers comprising a first layer; a second layer; and a third layer. The first layer comprises a plurality of openings defined therein being operably in fluidic communication with a plurality of fans for providing air circulation to a user through the mattress. The second layer is disposed between the first layer and the third layer and comprises an array of springs.
Rearrangeable mattress
Systems and apparatuses include a mattress assembly including a tub including vertically extending rails and a base that defines a base height that is two inches or less, the tub defining an interior cavity bound by the rails and the base, a plurality of non-laminated and rearrangeable foam layers positioned within the interior cavity to provide both support and comfort levels within the mattress assembly, and a cover system that includes a removable cover allowing selective access to the plurality of layers and the interior cavity and selectively compressing the plurality of layers within the tub.
Adjustable fully upholstered chaise lounger
An adjustable fully upholstered chaise recliner is provided. The chaise comprises a stationary outer frame coupled to a platform. The platform is configured to move between a first position and a second position while the outer frame remains stationary. A cushion is coupled to the platform and is fully upholstered to the platform such that a cover material encloses the cushion and the platform. Movement of the platform causes one or more bending portions of the cushion to bend. The chaise further comprises one or more cords, each extending through the cushion with a first end coupled to the cover material and a second end coupled to the platform. The cords are configured to pull on the cover material such that movement of the platform from the first position to the second position does not result in bunching of the cover material near the bending portions of the cushion.
Multifunctional smart beds and methods of operating thereof
Described herein are multifunctional smart beds and methods of operating thereof. Specifically, a multifunctional smart bed comprises a controller, configured to receive input from various sensors (e.g., load cells positioned in bed legs, thermometers, and/or microphones) and/or user. These inputs are analyzed and used to control various bed components to improve the sleep quality, to monitor users' health, score couple's relationship, and the like. For example, these inputs may be used to control firmness of different mattress portions, change orientations of head, torso, and/or leg sections, adjust the light, and the like. In some examples, the smart bed generates a report indicating one or more sleep duration, sleep depth profile, sleep scope, heart rate, breadth rate, environment conditions, couple's relationship, and the like. Furthermore, in some examples, a multifunctional smart bed is also configured to control external devices in the same environment, e.g., smart switches, smart thermostats.
