Modular mattress renewal system
A modular mattress renewal system includes a support lattice is made up of a plurality of compressible nodal foam blocks connected one to the other by block connectors that fit into guide apertures within the nodal blocks. The connectors themselves are also compressible and flexible and the compressible nodal foam blocks are provided with an adhesive portion that allows the user to customize the support necessary. Additionally, the nodal foam blocks have varying degrees of compressibility and varying compressibility gradients and are marked as such to further enhance the support customization possible. Thus, sagging mattresses or mattresses with indentations from use over time may be rehabilitated.
Ventilated ergonomic bed mattress
The ventilated ergonomic bed mattress is adapted for use by a client. The ventilated ergonomic bed mattress is a cushion used by the client for sleeping. The ventilated ergonomic bed mattress is constructed such that the client can sleep on the ventilated ergonomic bed mattress such that the anterior side of the client is proximal to the ventilated ergonomic bed mattress. Stated less formally, the ventilated ergonomic bed mattress allows a client to sleep face down. The ventilated ergonomic bed mattress comprises a mattress structure and a plurality of chambers. The mattress structure forms the cushion on which the client rests. The plurality of chambers is a collection of negative spaces formed in the mattress structure used to accommodate the head and the plurality of appendages of the client.
Mattress spacer system and methods of using the same
A passive mattress spacer pad provides an intermediate layer of material which sits between the bottom of the mattress and the underlying mattress support. In some embodiments, the spacer may have peripheral length and width dimensions that are roughly between about 1 and 18 inches smaller than the size of the mattress and have a thickness of between about inch and about 4 inches. In some embodiments, the spacer pad is independent, and in others, it is integrally formed with the support or the mattress. The spacer provides a measure of lift or elevation to the center of the mattress while leaving some space or gap around the peripheral edges where it is easier for the bed maker to slide their hands and the bed linens beneath the mattress edge without having to lift the mattress entirely.
NON-SLIP CUSHION
A non-slip cushion includes a layer of a honeycomb gel for diminishing high pressure areas to reduce pressure ulcers.
Bed with negative space
A bed defining a negative space to accommodate side sleepers and stomach sleepers by providing a space into which the user's arms and shoulders can extend. Channel pillows can be placed inside the negative space to provide support for the user's head while allowing the user's hands and shoulders to slide in between the channel pillow and the wall that define the negative space. The negative space is formed into a foundation having an upper torso region, a lower torso region, and a transition region therebetween. The transition region can comprise an angled wall. A cushion layer with a slanted wall is configured to cover the transition region and lower torso region of the foundation. An upper, comfort layer can be provided with a cutout that aligns with the negative space when placed on top of the foundation and cushion layer.
MATTRESS
Disclosed is a mattress with excellent properties of thermoregulation, transpiration and humidity management so as to ensure a high comfort to the user at rest.
Support element and method for its realisation
A support element, for example a plate, a mattress, a pillow, a seating plane of a chair, of an armchair, a saddle for vehicles and the like, equipped with a resting surface for a user, includes at least one first layer in gel associated with at least one second layer of different material; such a first layer in gel and such a second layer, that are associated, are crossed by through openings that are suitable for the proper circulation of air from one side to the other of the support element, so as to allow the optimal transpiration and thermal regulation of the parts of the body of the user positioned resting on the support element itself.
Foam mattress with symmetrical wavy foam layers
A symmetrical zoned foam mattress includes an upper foam layer with a wavy lower side and a lower foam layer with a wavy upper side. The lower layer has top, middle and bottom lateral valleys. The wavy lower side of the upper layer is glued to the wavy upper side of the lower layer. The top lateral valley has a minimum located within eighteen inches of the top head end of the lower layer. The bottom lateral valley has a minimum located within eighteen inches of the bottom foot end of the lower layer. A center plane intersects the lower foam layer at a minimum of the middle lateral valley. The minimum of each of the top and bottom lateral valleys is about fifteen inches from the end of the mattress regardless of whether the consumer chooses to use the top or bottom end as the head of the mattress.
Mattress
The invention relates to a mattress (1, 1, 2, 3) having at least one first layer (10, 20, 30), a second layer (12, 22, 32) and a third layer (14, 24, 34), the second layer (12, 22, 32) comprising spring elements (16, 26, 36) and being interposed between the first layer (10, 20, 30) and the third layer (14, 24, 34). The thickness (a.sub.1, a.sub.2, a.sub.3, d.sub.1, d.sub.2, d.sub.3, . . . , d.sub.10) of the third layer (14, 24, 34) varies locally to an extent that exceeds the extent defined by a surface structure of the third layer (14, 24, 34) on its exterior surface (17).
VENTILATED COMFORT LAYER
A bed assembly includes a mattress that has rails that define an outer perimeter of the mattress and an inner core defined between the rails of the mattress. Springs are positioned within the inner core. A comfort layer including ventilation openings is supported by the rails of the mattress so that the comfort layer covers the mattress and the ventilation openings are in fluid communication with the inner core. In some instances, the comfort layer is positioned so that the ventilation openings are aligned with coil openings defined through the springs within the mattress.
