A cover for cushions of a seat. The cover has a major panel with spaced longitudinal edges and a pair of side panels. The side panels have a curvilinear upper edge secured to the longitudinal edges to constrain the major panel to define a domed configuration. The major panel extends beyond the side panels to have a pair of flaps to overlie a seat frame and has releasable fasteners to secure the cover to the seat frame.

A method for covering an item with a framed cover is disclosed. A rigid tubular frame that is larger than the maximum planar dimensions of the item to be covered is constructed. The rigid tubular frame is built into a cover's opening makes it possible to find the opening, lift the cover evenly, place the cover over the item, rotate the cover to the proper position and drop the cover in an even manner and without snagging. In addition, the tubular frame can be made to fold so that the cover can be stowed away for storage in a controlled manner, and by folding the tubular frame on a larger size cover it makes it easier for the user to control the covers weight because its center of gravity is held closer to the user's body until it is properly positioned and opened on top of the item to be covered.

A seat protector for a typical vehicle seat that has a base and a back and the shape of a trough where the seat base meets the seat back, any liquid on the seat therefore tending to pool in the trough. The seat protector has a fixing attachment for fixing the seat protector in a predetermined orientation with respect to the seat; and a liquid absorption insert aligned across the seat protector to extend at least partly along the trough when the seat protector is correctly orientated on the seat, to absorb the liquid as it pools.

The waterproof barrier includes a cover, a backing, and a maintaining apparatus. Disclosed herein is a liquid barrier protective cover used to protect the outer surface of a furniture article. The liquid barrier protective cover includes a first layer formed of a protective material, a second layer formed of a liquid barrier material, and an intermediate layer, which are all fused together at one or more discrete locations. The cover also includes a retention tie connected to at least one of the first layer or the second layer. The retention tie is operable to extend around a first portion of the furniture article such that the retention tie operably anchors the first layer and the second layer to the furniture article. The retention tie is attached to at least one of the first layer or the second layer such that the liquid barrier material of the second layer is held against the first portion of the furniture article.
