A toner for electrostatic charge image development has toner particles containing a binder resin including 90 mass % or more of an amorphous resin. In a differential molecular weight distribution curve of tetrahydrofuran soluble matter as measured by gel permeation chromatography, the toner has a maximum peak Ma in a molecular weight range of 2,500 or more and 8,000 or less, a minimum value Mm in a molecular weight range of more than 8,000 and less than 280,000, and a maximum peak Mb in a molecular weight range of 280,000 or more and 900,000 or less. When the area of the differential molecular weight distribution curve in a range of a molecular weight of 100 or more and less than the minimum value Mm is defined as A, and the area of the differential molecular weight distribution curve in a range of the minimum value Mm or more and a molecular weight of 10,000,000 or less is defined as B, the area ratio A/B is 5.5 or more and 10 or less.

An electrostatic charge image developing toner contains toner particles, silica particles that are added to an exterior of the toner particles, and titanic acid compound particles that are added to the exterior of the toner particles and have an average circularity of 0.890 or more and 0.950 or less, in which the silica particles include particles having a primary particle size of 80 nm or less, the particles having a primary particle size of 80 nm or less have at least one peak in a range of 20 nm or more and less than 80 nm in a number-based primary particle size distribution curve (hereinafter, silica particles having such a peak will be called “specific silica particles”), the titanic acid compound particles have at least one peak in a range of 20 nm or more and less than 80 nm in a number-based primary particle size distribution curve, a difference between an average circularity of the specific silica particles and the average circularity of the titanic acid compound particles is 0.05 or less, and a difference between a toner coverage of the specific silica particles and a toner coverage of the titanic acid compound particles is 20% points or less.

An electrostatic image developing toner includes toner particles containing a binder resin and a release agent. In sections of the toner particles in which the sections of the toner particles have an area St in total and, among sections of domains of the release agent, sections of domains having long diameters of 10 nm or more and 500 nm or less have a total area Sa and sections of domains having long diameters of 1500 nm or more and 3000 nm or less have a total area Sb, an area fraction Sa/St is 2% or more and an area fraction Sb/St is 20% or more.

A method of producing resin particles includes a first step of adding a monomer-containing emulsified liquid that contains a polymerizable monomer and an aqueous medium to an aqueous mother medium to polymerize the polymerizable monomer; and a second step of adding an aqueous medium for cooling to the aqueous mother medium after completion of the addition of the monomer-containing emulsified liquid to the aqueous mother medium.

Toner for developing electrostatic images
The toner for developing electrostatic images is less likely to cause toner ejection and is excellent in printing durability. The toner includes colored resin particles and external additives. The external additives includes an external additive A and an external additive B; wherein the external additive A is silica particles being surface-hydrophobized with a specific hydrophobizing agent and having a specific number average particle diameter; and wherein the external additive B is silicone resin particles having a ratio (BS/TS) of a BET specific surface area (BS) to a theoretical specific surface area (TS) in a range of from 3.0 to 30.0, and having a specific number average particle diameter.
TONER
A toner comprising a toner particle comprising a binder resin and an ester compound, wherein: the binder resin comprises a resin A comprising a specific amount of a long-chain acrylate unit and a styrene-based monomer unit, and a resin B comprising a specific monomer unit in a specific amount; the ester compound has an alkyl chain with a specific chain length, a content of the resin A in the chloroform-soluble portion of the toner particles is 60% by mass or more; and using SPm (J/cm.sup.3).sup.1/2 for a SP value of the long-chain acrylate unit and using SPw (J/cm.sup.3).sup.1/2 for a SP value of the ester compound, SPm is 18.00 to 19.00, and SPm and SPw satisfy formula (a).

TONER FORMULATIONS HAVING IMPROVED TONER USAGE EFFICIENCY
A toner composition having improved toner usage efficiency, wherein toner particles having an average size range of 1-25 μm may be mixed with an extra particulate additive package including a first small silica surface treated with both a silane and an aminosilane having a primary particle size of about 5 nm-20 nm, a second fumed silica having a primary particle size of 30 nm-60 nm, a third silica having a primary particle size of about 70 nm-120 nm, an electro-conductive titania having a primary particle size of 30 nm-60 nm and an acicular titania having a size of about 1.6 μm to 1.7 μm in length and about 130 nm in diameter. An alternative embodiment of the extra particulate additive package does not include a third silica having a primary particle size of about 70 nm-120 nm.
