Image forming method and image forming apparatus
An image forming method is provided. The image forming method includes: forming an electrostatic latent image on an electrostatic latent image bearer; developing the electrostatic latent image on the electrostatic latent image bearer with a toner to form a toner image; transferring the toner image from the electrostatic latent image bearer onto a continuous resin film; fixing the toner image on the continuous resin film with a heat roller or a heat belt. The toner contains a maleic-acid-modified polyolefin having a polypropylene block in a main chain.
IMAGING SYSTEM WITH GLOSS TREATMENT DEVICE
An imaging system includes a toner image forming device and a gloss treatment device. The toner image forming device accommodates a color toner that forms a color toner image on a printing medium, and which accommodates a clear toner that forms a clear toner image on the printing medium. The clear toner has a wax content that is lower than a wax content of the color toner. The gloss treatment device melts the clear toner on the printing medium to apply gloss treatment to the printing medium including the color toner image and the clear toner image.

An image forming apparatus includes: an image forming unit that forms an image with a brilliant toner on a recording medium; a medium color determiner that determines whether the recording medium is white or colored; and an image forming controller that controls the image forming unit. When the medium color determiner determines that the recording medium is colored, the image forming controller increases an amount of the brilliant toner per unit area of the image formed on the recording medium as compared to when the recording medium is white.

An example photodetector for detecting fluorescent toner includes a light emitting unit to emit light to a toner image, and a light receiving unit. The light receiving unit is to detect visible light reflected by the toner image, detect that the toner image includes the fluorescent toner based on the detection of the visible light, the visible light generated by the fluorescent toner and having a predetermined wavelength band different from a wavelength band of the emitted light, and output a signal corresponding to the detection of the fluorescent toner.

Disclosed herein is a toner composition, developer and additive for a toner composition. The toner composition includes toner particles including at least one resin, an optional colorant, an optional wax, and a polymeric toner additive on at least a portion of an external surface of the toner particles. The polymeric toner additive includes a polymeric resin including a fluorinated monomer, wherein the polymeric resin is less than 10% by weight crosslinked, and optionally a charge control agent comprising nitrogen containing group at 0.1 wt % to 1.5 wt % of the polymeric resin.

The toner composition includes toner particles including at least one resin, an optional colorant, an optional wax, and a polymeric toner additive on at least a portion of an external surface of the toner particles. IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes a developing unit, a transferring unit, and a fixing unit. The developing unit performs an attachment process in which the developing unit attaches a luminescent toner to a latent image that is formed on a basis of image data. The transferring unit performs a transfer process in which the transferring unit transfers, onto a medium, the luminescent toner attached to the latent image. The fixing unit performs a fixing process in which the fixing unit fixes, to the medium, the luminescent toner transferred onto the medium. The attachment process performed by the developing unit and the transfer process performed by the transferring unit are each performed plural times for the medium, on the basis of the image data.
