TONER

The binder resin contains 50% by mass or greater of polyester A, and the polyester A contains 90% by mole or greater of an isophthalic acid unit U.sub.iso with respect to an amount of all units derived from an acid component. Toner

A toner comprising a toner particle comprising a binder resin, and an external additive, wherein the toner particle further comprises a monohydric aliphatic alcohol, the monohydric aliphatic alcohol has 8 to 18 carbon atoms, a content ratio of the monohydric aliphatic alcohol extracted from the toner with ethanol is 30 to 300 ppm by mass in the toner, and the external additive comprises at least one selected from the group consisting of hydrotalcite particles and alumina particles.

An image forming apparatus includes a rotatable image bearing member, a charging member, a developing unit, a cleaning member, and a supply container. In an accommodating portion of a new developing unit, an initial developer which is a developer in a predetermined amount is filled in advance. The initial developer contains toner particles of which charge polarity is a predetermined polarity, and to the toner particles of the initial developer, lubricant particles of a polarity opposite in charge polarity to the predetermined polarity are externally added. A supply developer which is the developer accommodated in the supply container contains the toner particles. An external addition amount of the lubricant particles to the toner particles in the supply developer is smaller than an external addition amount of the lubricant particles to the toner particles in the initial developer.

White toner, electrostatic charge image developer, and toner cartridge

A white toner includes a toner particle that contains a binder resin containing a hybrid resin in which an amorphous resin unit and a crystalline polyester resin unit are chemically bonded to each other, surface-treated titanium oxide, and a release agent, in which a proportion of Al atoms in a surface of the surface-treated titanium oxide is 3 atomic % or greater and 20 atomic % or less, and a proportion of Ti atoms in the surface is 5 atomic % or greater and 15 atomic % or less.

An external additive for toner includes an organosilicon polymer having a siloxane bond. In X-ray photoelectron spectroscopic measurement, when the atomic concentrations of silicon atoms, oxygen atoms, and carbon atoms are dSi, DO, and dC, respectively, and the sum thereof is 100 atom %, the proportion of the atomic concentration of carbon atoms bonding to silicon atoms is 30 to 60 atom %. The silanol group amount measured by titration using KOH is 0.025 to 0.800 mmol/g. When the number of all silicon atoms is 1.00 and the proportions of silicon atoms indicated by Si.sup.a, Si.sup.b, and Si.sup.c in the structural units (a), (b), and (c) below are Pa, Pb, and Pc, respectively, the following expressions (1) and (2) are satisfied:
