WHITE TONER
The present invention provides a white toner which has high charge uniformity and enables stable print-out of high-quality images irrespective of its usage environment. The above object can be solved by a white toner including a white toner particle containing a binder resin, a white pigment and an inorganic fine particle, in which the white pigment has a work function of 5.80 eV or more and 6.10 eV or less, the content of the white pigment is 15.0 parts by mass or more and 60.0 parts by mass or less relative to 100 parts by mass of the binder resin, and the inorganic fine particle has a work function of 6.15 eV or more.
Toner
A toner comprising: a toner particle; and an external additive, wherein the external additive includes spherical silica particles and hydrotalcite particles, a number average particle diameter Da of the spherical silica particles is from 10 nm to 40 nm, a circularity of the spherical silica particles is at least 0.80, and the toner satisfies formula (1) below:
{Ga×(1−Ka/100)}/{Gb×(1−Kb/100)}≥0.050 (1)
wherein Ga: a content of the spherical silica particles with respect to 100 parts by mass of the toner particle; Gb: a content of the hydrotalcite particles with respect to 100 parts by mass of the toner particle; Ka: a fixing ratio (%) of the spherical silica particles on a surface of the toner particle; and Kb: a fixing ratio (%) of the hydrotalcite particles on the surface of the toner particle.
Toner Including Toner Additive Formulation
A toner including a parent toner particle comprising at least one resin, in combination with an optional colorant, and an optional wax; and a surface additive formulation comprising at least one medium silica surface additive; at least one large silica surface additive; at least one positive charging surface additive, wherein the at least one positive charging surface additive is (a) a titanium dioxide surface additive; and wherein the parent toner particles further contain a small silica; or (b) a non-titanium dioxide positive charging metal oxide surface additive; and wherein the parent toner particles further optionally contain a small silica; and wherein a total surface area coverage of all of the surface additives combined is 100 to 140 percent of the parent toner particle surface area.
Titania-Free Toner Additive Formulation With Cross-Linked Organic Polymeric Additive
A toner including a parent toner particle comprising at least one resin, in combination with an optional colorant, and an optional wax; and a surface additive formulation comprising at least one medium silica surface additive; at least one large cross-linked organic polymeric additive; at least one positive charging surface additive, wherein the at least one positive charging surface additive is (a) a titanium dioxide surface additive; and wherein the parent toner particles further contain a small silica; or (b) a non-titanium dioxide positive charging metal oxide surface additive; and wherein the parent toner particles further optionally contain a small silica; and wherein a total surface area coverage of all of the surface additives combined is 100 to 140 percent of the parent toner particle surface area.
CARRIER FOR DEVELOPING ELECTROSTATIC CHARGE IMAGE, ELECTROSTATIC CHARGE IMAGE DEVELOPER, AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A carrier for developing an electrostatic charge image has magnetic particles and a resin coating that covers the magnetic particles and contains at least one lubricant. The resin coating has a dispersed phase of the lubricant and meets requirement (1).

The top, middle, and bottom layers are of the resin coating divided into three in the direction of thickness, and the lubricant content is the percentage area of the dispersed phase of the lubricant in a cross-section of the layer taken along the thickness thereof.

A toner comprising: a toner particle that contains a release agent-containing toner base particle, and an organosilicon polymer on a toner base particle surface, and an external additive A, the organosilicon polymer has a T3 unit structure; the organosilicon polymer forms protruded portions on the toner base particle surface; the number-average value of the protrusion height H is from 30 nm to 300 nm; the ratio of the number-average primary particle diameter R of the external additive A to the number-average value of the protrusion height H is from 1.00 to 4.00; the number-average primary particle diameter R of the external additive A is from 30 nm to 1,200 nm; and, in an image obtained by observing the toner surface with SEM, the area percentage for the bright region area in the image with reference to the total area of the image is from 30.0% to 75.0%.

An electrostatic charge image developing carrier includes: magnetic particles; and a resin layer coating the magnetic particles and containing inorganic particles, in which an average particle diameter of the inorganic particles is 5 nm or more and 90 nm or less, an average thickness of the resin layer is 0.6 μm or more and 1.4 μm or less, and a ratio B/A of a surface area B of the electrostatic charge image developing carrier to a plan view area A of the electrostatic charge image developing carrier is 1.020 or more and 1.100 or less when a surface of the electrostatic charge image developing carrier is three-dimensionally analyzed.
Toner process employing dual chelating agents
A toner process including a) mixing reagents comprising at least one amorphous resin, an optional crystalline resin, an optional styrene, acrylate or styrene/acrylate, an optional wax, and an optional colorant to form an emulsion comprising a resin particle; b) adding at least one aggregating agent and aggregating said resin particle to form a nascent toner particle; c) optionally, adding one or more resins to form a shell on said nascent toner particle to yield a core-shell particle; d) adding a first chelating agent and a second chelating agent; wherein said first chelating agent and said second chelating agent are different; e) freezing particle growth to form an aggregated toner particle; f) coalescing said aggregated toner particle to form a toner particle; and g) optionally, collecting said toner particle.
