A rib is disposed on an outer surface of the coupling. When the coupling is viewed from the conveyance path, the rib is inclined with respect to the sheet conveyance direction such that the rib becomes more distant from the roller member in a sheet width direction perpendicular to the sheet conveyance direction as the rib extends downstream in the sheet conveyance direction.
SHEET CONVEYANCE APPARATUS, IMAGE READING APPARATUS, AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A sheet conveyance apparatus includes a conveyance member, a separation member, a drive roller including a plurality of first rotating members, a motor, a follower roller including a plurality of second rotating members and a shaft member supporting the plurality of second rotating members, a holder member configured to regulate a position of a central second rotating member, and an urging spring configured to urge the holder member. The holder member includes (i) a first side surface portion provided with a first shaft-receiving portion and (ii) a second side surface portion provided with a second shaft-receiving portion. The holder member is configured to regulate the position of the central second rotating member by the first side surface portion and the second side surface portion and apply an urging force of the urging spring to the shaft member via the first shaft-receiving portion and the second shaft-receiving portion.
IMAGE READING DEVICE, IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, AND IMAGE READING METHOD
An image reading device includes a light receiving array including multiple light receiving elements arrayed in a main scanning direction, the multiple light receiving elements to perform photoelectrical conversion for corresponding pixels and output analog data, respectively; multiple analog-to-digital converters to respectively convert the analog data converted by the multiple light receiving elements to digital data in parallel form; circuitry configured to convert the digital data in parallel form converted by the multiple analog-to-digital converters to first image data in serial form in the main scanning direction and output the first image data having a first resolution; and an image processor to perform an image processing to second image data having a second resolution different from the first resolution.
IMAGE READING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image reading apparatus includes a light guide unit provided with a light guide member, a reading portion, and a supporting member including a supporting portion to support the light guide unit, first and second opposing portions opposing first and second ends of the light guide member in a longitudinal direction, respectively. One of the first end and the first opposing portion includes a first projection projecting in the longitudinal direction, and the other includes a first concave portion of which a width is wider than that of the first projection and into which the first projection is inserted with a gap. One of the second end and the second opposing portion includes a second projection, and the other includes a second concave portion of which width is wider than that of the second projection and into which the second projection is inserted with a gap.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING METHOD
An image forming apparatus includes an image forming portion, an acquisition processing portion, and a display processing portion. The image forming portion forms a target image on a sheet. The acquisition processing portion acquires a sheet image obtained by reading the sheet. The display processing portion superimposes the target image on the sheet image and displays the target image and the sheet image as a preview screen.
HOLDING BRACKET AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A holding bracket includes a terminal mount, an insertion portion, a first abutment, and a second abutment. A connection terminal is mounted to the terminal mount. The insertion portion is inserted into a through hole of the fixed member in an insertion direction from an outer face to an inner face of the fixed member. The first abutment is disposed at a tip of the insertion portion to abut against the inner face of the fixed member. The second abutment abuts against the outer face of the fixed member. An abutment of the first abutment and the second abutment against the fixed member attaches the holding bracket to the fixed member.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND PROGRAM
An image forming apparatus including a scanner to execute a scan operation to read an image from a document medium; a printer to execute a print operation to form the image read by the scanner unit onto a print medium; a discharger to discharge the print medium output from the printer unit; and a detector to detect whether the discharger is in a discharge-possible state. Further, there is determination circuitry configured to determine whether the image on the document medium is readable and control circuitry configured to control the scanner and the printer. When the determination circuitry determines that the image is readable and the detection circuitry indicates that the discharger is in the discharge-possible state, there is a display of a screen prompting the user to select whether to execute the print operation.
IMAGE READING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
Disclosed is an image reading apparatus including: a reading unit for reading a document placed on a transparent plate while moving in a scanning direction; a holding member for holding the reading unit; a guide shaft for supporting the holding member such that the holding member can move in the scanning direction; a housing for accommodating the reading unit and the guide shaft, the transparent plate being placed on an upper surface of the housing; and a grounding member for grounding the guide shaft by being in contact with the guide shaft. The holding member includes a sliding portion that fits to the guide shaft and is slidable in the scanning direction with respect to the guide shaft, the sliding portion having a groove-like shape whose lower portion is opened. The grounding member is in contact with the guide shaft in an opened portion of the sliding portion.
IMAGE INSPECTION APPARATUS, IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, IMAGE INSPECTION METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
An image inspection apparatus includes a scanning unit that scans a sheet conveyed from an image forming unit. The apparatus compares a scanned overall image of the sheet with a reference image to detect misalignment in image formation. Based on the misalignment, it aligns the scanned image with the reference image to generate a first image. The first image is then compared with the reference image to detect local distortions in different parts of the image. Based on the detected distortions, the apparatus performs local alignment to generate a second image. It then calculates distortion amounts for each part and determines whether the image is normal based on these values. This enables determination of image normality based on both misalignment and distortion.
IMAGE READING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
Disclosed is an image reading apparatus includes a document reading apparatus; a document feeder; and a controller. The document reading apparatus is provided with a transparent member and an image reading portion configured to read an image on a document conveyed by the document feeder via the transparent member. The document feeder is provided with a conveying roller configured to convey the document and a guide member configured to guide the document conveyed by the conveying roller, the guide member being opposed to the transparent member. The guide member is provided with a discriminating portion corresponding to a type of the document feeder. The controller identifies the type of the document feeder based on a result of the image reading portion reading a region including the discriminating portion of the guide member.
