Reducing imaging device churn by managing unproductive photoconductive drum revolutions
An imaging system having methods for reducing churn in an imaging device which includes identifying a number of unproductive revolutions made in a print engine of the imaging device, determining whether the number of unproductive revolutions exceeds a predetermined threshold, and performing at least one of: using a predetermined speed limit when printing a page and disabling a function in the imaging device upon the determination that the number of unproductive revolutions exceeds the predetermined threshold.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING METHOD
An image forming apparatus includes a communication unit to acquire image forming data, generation units and to generate image data based on the image forming data, a correction unit to change an amount of correction to correct a shift of an image of the image data in forming the image in accordance with a ratio at which a developer is deposited by using the image data, and a printing unit to form the image corrected by the correction unit on a medium.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes a receiving part that receives multiple page images including a first page image and a second page image, a medium carrying part that carries the recording media, and an image forming part that forms images on the recording media carried by the medium carrying part based on the first and second page images processed by the image processing part. The image processing part determines one edge region of the first page image, which has the highest image density among four edge regions on the first page image, changes the orientation of the first page image such that the one edge region having the highest image density is arranged to be at the trailing side of the first page image, and changes the orientation of the second page image to the same orientation as that of the first page image.
Image forming apparatus with second mode rotating toner bearing member faster and larger second maximum toner carrying amount
An image forming apparatus includes a controller to execute a first mode for forming a toner image on a recording medium, in which a maximum toner carrying amount per unit area is a first maximum toner carrying amount, and a second mode for forming a toner image on the recording medium, in which the maximum toner carrying amount per unit is a second maximum toner carrying amount larger than the first maximum toner carrying amount. In the first mode, the controller sets a circumferential speed ratio of the toner bearing member against an image bearing member at a first circumferential speed ratio, and in the second mode the controller sets the circumferential speed ratio at a second circumferential speed ratio higher than the first circumferential speed ratio. The controller executes the second mode upon an order of the second mode by an operator.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
Provided is an image forming apparatus including a printer controller configured to form an image on a sheet, a storage unit configured to store a plurality of adjustment conditions for adjusting a position on the sheet at which the image is to be formed, and a CPU. The CPU selects one of the plurality of adjustment conditions, adjusts the position at which the image is to be formed based on the selected adjustment condition, and causes the printer controller to form the image on the sheet.
OUTPUTTING PLURALITY OF IMAGES HAVING DIFFERENT SIZES
Provided are an image forming apparatus for outputting a plurality of images having different sizes according to a method pre-set by a user without interrupting a current printing operation when the plurality of images having different sizes are obtained and a method of operating the image forming apparatus.
Image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus includes: a document reading unit 110 allowing input of image data generated from a read document, a paper feed unit 140 containing recording paper, an image forming unit 120 forming an image on the recording paper based on the image data, and a touch-panel display 132 displaying a preview image representing a state of image formation. The touch-panel display displays a preview image in a designated orientation for a document of a prescribed size, and displays a preview image in accordance with size and orientation of recording paper fed from the paper feed unit, for a document not of the prescribed size. Thus, for documents of a prescribed size, preview images in a prescribed orientation can be displayed regardless of the direction of arrangement of the recording paper, and easier confirmation of expected finish of the formed image becomes possible.
Image forming apparatus with image timing signal adjustment
The image forming apparatus includes a control unit for converting image information into an image signal and output the image signal with reference to a timing signal, a sheet feeding control unit for feeding a recording material, an image forming unit for forming the image on a photosensitive drum based on the image signal output from the control unit, a transmission unit for transmitting a length of the image corresponding to a length of an output period of the image signal, an automatic sheet length detection mechanism for acquiring a length of the recording material in a conveyance direction thereof, and an image control unit for controlling a time interval at which the timing signal is output based on the size of the image and the size of the recording material.
Image forming apparatus
A condition acquiring device is for acquiring condition information including binding position information and image direction information. A dividing condition setting device is for specifying at least one dividing position and a dividing order of an original image, according to an image formation rule for deriving the at least one dividing position and the dividing order in response to a combination of what are designated by the image direction information and the binding position information. An image processing device is for dividing the original image at the at least one dividing position into a plurality of divided images. The print processing device is for forming the plurality of divided images respectively on a plurality of sheets sequentially conveyed by a conveying mechanism according to the dividing order.
Image forming apparatus performing density adjustment control
In an image forming apparatus, when images are formed on a plurality of sheets, a controller controls an image forming unit to form a measurement image between an image which is to be transferred to a first sheet of the plurality of sheets and an image which is to be transferred to a second sheet of the plurality of sheets, controls a sensor to measure the measurement image, determines a feedback condition based on a length of each of the plurality of sheets in a conveyance direction, and controls an image forming condition based on a result of measurement performed by the sensor and the determined feedback condition, wherein the image which is to be transferred to the second sheet of the plurality of sheets is adjacent to the image which is to be transferred to the first sheet of the plurality of sheets on an image bearing member.
