Method and Apparatus for Defect Inspection of Transparent Substrate
A method for defect inspection of a transparent substrate comprises (a) providing an optical system for performing a diffraction process of object wave passing through a transparent substrate, (b) interfering and wavefront recording for the diffracted object wave and a reference wave to reconstruct the defect complex images (including amplitude and phase) of the transparent substrate, (c) characteristics analyzing, features classifying and sieving for the defect complex images of the transparent substrate, and (d) creating defect complex images database based-on the defect complex images for comparison and detection of the defect complex images of the transparent substrate.
HOLOGRAPHIC DISPLAY APPARATUS FOR PROVIDING EXPANDED VIEWING WINDOW
A holographic display apparatus for providing an expanded viewing window is provided. The holographic display apparatus includes a spatial filter configured to allow a plurality of holographic images generated by 0th order or higher diffraction in a spatial light modulator to pass therethrough, and an image path conversion element configured to adjust a light path of the plurality of holographic images so that the plurality of holographic images are spaced apart from each other on a focal plane of an optical system.
Holographic display architecture
A holographic display (display) for a head-mounted display (HMD). The display includes a source configured to emit at least partially coherent light and a beam conditioner that conditions the light from the source into one or more beams of light. The display also includes one or more spatial light modulators configured to encode the one or more beams of light using a hologram of a virtual reality image. The display further includes an objective lens and a conversion lens. The objective lens is positioned to create an intermediate image at a Fourier plane, and the intermediate image is a Fourier transform of the hologram. The conversion lens performs a Fourier transform of the intermediate image to generate an output hologram. The conversion lens also magnifies a portion of the output hologram and directs the magnified portion of the output hologram to an exit pupil of the HMD.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SUB-APERTURE BASED ABERRATION MEASUREMENT AND CORRECTION IN INTERFEROMETRIC IMAGING
Systems and methods for sub-aperture correlation based wavefront measurement in a thick sample and correction as a post processing technique for interferometric imaging to achieve near diffraction limited resolution are described. Theory, simulation and experimental results are presented for the case of full field interference microscopy. The inventive technique can be applied to any coherent interferometric imaging technique and does not require knowledge of any system parameters. In one embodiment of the present application, a fast and simple way to correct for defocus aberration is described. A variety of applications for the method are presented.
Phase imaging apparatus, phase imaging method
A spatial modulator is provided on a plane conjugate to a sample plane on which a sample is to be placed. The spatial modulator spatially modulates illumination light irradiated to the sample 2 or object light that has passed through or that has been reflected by the sample. A dark-field optical system removes the non-scattered light component of the first object light affected by the spatial light modulator so as to generate second object light. An image sensor records a hologram based on the second object light. A calculation processing apparatus combines complex amplitude information based on the modulation pattern supplied to the spatial light modulator and complex amplitude information based on the hologram with respect to the second object light so as to acquire a phase distribution originating from the sample.
