REMOTE CONTROLLED DEVICE, IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE, AND VIDEO DISPLAY CONTROL METHOD
When a controller controls a driver so as to move a moving unit in accordance with a user's movement, the controller controls a video signal processor such that frame videos of a video signal transmitted to an image display device have a first display mode. When the controller controls the driver so as to move the moving unit regardless of the user's movement, the controller controls the video signal processor such that frame videos of a video signal transmitted to the image display device have a second display mode.
VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEM, VEHICLE CONTROL METHOD, AND VEHICLE CONTROL PROGRAM
A vehicle control system including: a vehicle configured to be movable along a predetermined route, the vehicle including at least an image capturing apparatus; a display apparatus configured to display a video image captured by the image capturing apparatus, the display apparatus being installed in a remote place that is remote from the vehicle; a first operation terminal installed in the remote place; a control apparatus configured to control movement of the vehicle based on first operation information input through the first operation terminal; and a second operation terminal installed in a place that is closer to the vehicle than to the remote place, in which the control apparatus is configured to assist, based on second operation information input through the second operation terminal, the control of the movement of the vehicle that is based on the first operation information.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR OBSTACLE DETECTION
A vehicle control system for an agricultural vehicle including a processing circuit including a processor and memory, the memory having instructions stored thereon that, when executed by the processor, cause the processing circuit to receive (i) image data depicting at least a portion of a hazard area associated with the agricultural vehicle and (ii) ultrasonic sensor data from an ultrasonic sensor monitoring the hazard area, determine, based on a combination of the image data and the ultrasonic sensor data, whether an obstacle is positioned at least partially within the hazard area, and perform an action with respect to the agricultural vehicle in response to a determination that the obstacle is positioned at least partially within the hazard area.
REMOTE DRIVING SYSTEM
A remote driving system includes: an acquisition unit for acquiring operation information related to an operation of a steering wheel by a user who remotely drives the target vehicle; and a control unit for controlling a resolution and a frame rate of each camera mounted on the target vehicle. When an operation amount of the steering wheel is relatively small, at least one of the resolution and the frame rate of a camera that captures an image of a front region of the target vehicle in a traveling direction is maintained or improved. When the steering wheel has been rotated to one of right and left and the operation amount is relatively large, at least one of the resolution and the frame rate of a camera that captures an image of a region of the one of right and left of the target vehicle is maintained or improved.
REMOTE SUPPORT DEVICE, REMOTE SUPPORT SYSTEM, AND REMOTE SUPPORT METHOD
A remote support device includes a data obtainment device, a data processing device, and a sound data reproduction device. The data obtainment device obtains various kinds of data including data on ambient sounds of the vehicle by communication with the vehicle. The data processing device processes various kinds of data including the data on ambient sounds. The sound data reproduction device reproduces sound data resulting from a process by the data processing device. The data processing device separates the data on an ambient sound into data on a vehicle sound which represent a sound produced accompanying an operation of the vehicle and data on an environmental sound which represent a sound produced in an environment around the vehicle. The data processing device outputs the data on the environmental sound to the sound data reproduction device.
AERIAL RECONNAISSANCE DRONE AND METHOD
An aerial reconnaissance drone having a dragonfly format (elongate fuselage and flapping wings) with two cameras having respective diagonal fields of view, arranged at respective ends of the fuselage, both pointing forwards, wherein the second camera has a diagonal fielder of view that is at most half that of the first camera. This has the advantage of providing a drone that can capture enhanced imagery when required, by performing a half turn and switching which camera is being used. Since this avoids placing two cameras in the same location both can have a clear view of surroundings yet it helps avoid off balance caused by placing too much mass in any particular off-centre location.
Augmenting autonomous driving with remote viewer recommendation
Autonomous vehicles are an exciting prospect to the future of driving. However, concerns about the decision-making made by the AI controlling a vehicle has been of concern, particularly in light of high-profile accidents. We can alleviate some concern, introduce better decisions, and also train an AI to make better decisions by introducing a remote viewer's, e.g., a human's, reaction to a possibly complex environment surrounding a vehicle that includes a potential threat to the vehicle. One or more remote viewer may provide a recommended response to the threat that may be incorporated in whole or in part in how the vehicle reacts. Various ways to engage and utilize remote viewers are proposed to improve the likelihood of receiving useful recommendations, including modifying how the environment is presented to a remote viewer to best suit the remote viewer, e.g., perhaps present the threat in a game.
Adaptive cyber-physical system for efficient monitoring of unstructured environments
The present disclosure provides a system for monitoring unstructured environments. A predetermined path can be determined according to an assignment of geolocations to one or more agronomically anomalous target areas, where the one or more agronomically anomalous target areas are determined according to an analysis of a plurality of first images that automatically identifies a target area that deviates from a determination of an average of the plurality of first images that represents an anomalous place within a predetermined area, where the plurality of first images of the predetermined area are captured by a camera during a flight over the predetermined area. A camera of an unmanned vehicle can capture at least one second image of the one or more agronomically anomalous target areas as the unmanned vehicle travels along the predetermined path.
Restricting areas available to autonomous and teleoperated vehicles
A vehicle policy server maintains a set of policies for constraining operations of one or more remote vehicles. The policies may specify areas, locations, or routes that specified vehicles are restricted from accessing based on a set of acquired information. An application programming interface (API) enables programmatic updates of the policies or related information. Policies may be enforced by transmitting control signals fully or in part to onboard vehicle computers or to a teleoperation support module providing remote support to the vehicles using human teleoperators and/or artificial intelligence agents. The control signals may directly control the vehicles or teleoperation, or may cause a navigation system to present known restrictions in a suitable fashion such as generating an augmented reality display or mapping overlays.
Electronic control unit and vehicle control method thereof
An electronic control unit provided in a vehicle is provided. The electronic control unit comprises a communication unit for receiving information on vehicle electronic devices from one or more vehicle electronic devices provided in the vehicle, and a processor for selecting the information on vehicle electronic devices from any one of the vehicle electronic devices in response to occurrence of an event and controlling the communication unit to first transmit the selected information to a server.
