Systems, methods and apparatus for in-service tank inspections
Systems, methods and apparatuses for inspecting a tank containing a flammable fluid are provided. The system includes a vehicle having a propeller, a latch mechanism, a pressure switch, and an inspection device. The system includes a control unit in communication with the propeller, the latch mechanism, and the inspection device, and electrically connected to the pressure switch. The control unit powers on responsive to the pressure switch detecting an ambient pressure greater than a minimum threshold. The control unit receives, from the latch mechanism, an indication of a state of the latch mechanism. The control unit determines that the cable used to lower the vehicle into the tank containing the flammable fluid is detached from the vehicle. The control unit commands the propeller to move the vehicle through the flammable fluid. The control unit determines a quality metric of a portion of the tank.
Robot control method, computer-readable storage medium and biped robot
A robot control method includes: acquiring distances between a center of mass (COM) of the biped robot and each of preset key points of feet of the biped robot, and acquiring an initial position of the COM of the biped robot; calculating a position offset of the COM based on the distances; adjusting the initial position of the COM based on the position offset of the COM to obtain a desired position of the COM of the biped robot; and determining desired walking parameters of the biped robot based on the desired position of the COM by using a preset inverse kinematics algorithm, wherein the desired walking parameters are configured to control the biped robot to walk.
Magnetic marker and driving assistance system
Provided is a driving assistance system using a magnetic marker capable of providing more pieces of information. In the driving assistance system for assisting driving of a vehicle, a magnetic marker (1) including a magnet sheet (11) serving as a magnetism generating unit which generates a magnetic field and also an RFID tag (15) as an information providing unit which provides information to a vehicle side is laid on a travelling road of the vehicle, and the vehicle includes a magnetic sensor serving as a magnetism detecting unit which magnetically detects the magnetic marker (1) and also a tag reader as an information acquiring unit which acquires the information provided by the RFID tag (15) included in the magnetic marker (1).
Express bin lift for automated storage system
A lift system for an automated storage system of the type where storage containers are stacked in storage columns arranged in a grid, and where automated container handling vehicles retrieve and replace containers from a top level of the grid. The lift system has a platform vertically movable adjacent to a face of the grid, arranged for receiving and transporting one or more containers. A dedicated mechanical device is arranged for grabbing, lifting and moving the storage containers from a staging area at the top of the grid and placing containers on the platform and vice versa.
Hydraulic control valve with visual identification system
A hydraulic control valve can be one type of a variable characteristic (e.g., coil voltage). A visual identification system is provided to permit the visual identification of the specific type of the variable characteristic that the control valve is to assist in the assembly of systems utilizing such control valves. The visual identification system includes first and second indicator bearing first and second indicia, respectively, configured to indicate a first value and a different second value of a variable characteristic, respectively. The first and second indicator members are configured to be separately removably mounted to the control valve via a mechanical connection substantially without adhesive such that the appropriate indicator member can be selected and mounted to the valve depending upon what type of valve it is.
Information processing apparatus, information processing system, and information processing method
Provided is an information processing apparatus having a control unit configured to execute instruction proxy processing in a case where an instruction from a user specifies another information processing apparatus as an instruction target.
Elevator control device and autonomous moving body control device
Provided is an elevator control device capable of calling attention to contact between a user and an autonomous moving body in an elevator shared by the user and the autonomous moving body. The elevator control device includes an elevator notification control unit configured to causes, based on a call for an elevator from an autonomous moving body, equipment provided in a hall of the elevator of a floor on which the autonomous moving body is present or equipment provided in a car of the elevator to provide notification of information indicating that the autonomous moving body boards or disembarks from the car.
GUIDING AN UNMANNED AERIAL VEHICLE USING MULTI-POINT GUIDANCE
The present disclosure relates to systems, methods, and computer readable media implemented in connection with an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) to navigate a UAV along a desired path. For example, systems disclosed herein identify an anticipatory flight path and identify a plurality of reference points on the flight path relative to a current position of the UAV. The systems described herein may further determine reference angles between a current trajectory of the UAV and the reference points to determine an updated trajectory that the UAV should take to stay close to the identified flight path. The systems described herein may further cause the UAV to accelerate in a lateral direction based on the updated trajectory. The features and functionality of systems disclosed herein enable the UAV to accurately follow a complex path having sharp turns with little or no advanced knowledge of the flight path prior to departure.
Device initialization by an access-restricted virtual machine
Device initialization by an access-restricted virtual machine, including: restricting access by a first operating system to a device during one or more device initialization operations, wherein the first operating system is executing in a first virtual machine supported by a hypervisor; determining, by a second operating system executing in a second virtual machine supported by the hypervisor, one or more modifications attempted by the first operating system to the device; and performing, by the second operating system, the one or more modifications to the device.
Method for handling malfunctioning vehicles on a rail system and a storage and retrieval system using such a method
A method for handling malfunctioning vehicles (240,340) on a rail system (108,308) constituting part of a storage and retrieval system (1) configured to store a plurality of stacks (107) of storage containers (106), wherein the storage and retrieval system (1) comprisesa plurality of remotely operated vehicles (230,330,240,340,250,350) configured to move laterally on the rail system (108,308) anda control system (109) for monitoring and controlling wirelessly movements of the plurality of vehicles (230,330,240,340,250,350), the control system (109) forms by wireless data communication at least the following steps: A. registering an anomaly in an operational condition of a vehicle (this 240,340) on the rail system (108,308), B. registering the vehicle with the anomalous operational condition as a malfunctioning vehicle (240,340), C. bringing the malfunctioning vehicle (240,340) to a halt, D. registering a halt position of the malfunctioning vehicle (240,340) relative to the supporting rail system (108,308), E. setting up a two-dimensional shutdown zone (225) within the rail system (108,308) into which the malfunctioning vehicle (240,340) is halted and F. updating movement pattern of the plurality of remotely operated vehicles (230,330, 250,350) outside the two-dimensional shutdown zone (225) such that entrance into the two-dimensional shutdown zone (225) is avoided.
