Brake control system and method for autonomous vehicle control
A brake control system and method for autonomous vehicle control that includes a first brake pedal connected to a first brake arm, the first brake arm is connected to a first brake shaft, the first brake shaft extends a length between an upper end and lower end and includes a first actuator that expands and contracts in length. The lower end of the first brake shaft is operably connected to a first brake mechanism. An autonomous control system having a controller with microprocessor, memory and instructions is connected and controls operation of the first actuator. When the first brake shaft expands in length the first brake mechanism is engaged by the lower end of the first brake shaft thereby applying the brakes. The first brake mechanism is operable by depressing the first brake pedal in manual operation mode as well as by controlling the first actuator in autonomous operation mode.

CONNECTION ELEMENT FOR A VEHICLE PEDAL AND VEHICLE PEDAL
A connection element is provided for connecting a first part with a second part of a vehicle pedal. An essentially rigid central section is provided, in addition to a first connecting section connecting the connection element to the first part and a second connecting section connecting the connection element with the second part. The two connecting sections are formed at free ends of the central section opposite each other. The first connecting section features at least two first latching elements that form a latching connection together with latching elements of the first part formed corresponding to the first latching elements. The first connecting section features four first latching elements. The first latching elements form, in the assembled state of the connection element, as pairs in each case a latching connection together with a latching element of the first part corresponding to each pair of latching elements.

BRAKE SYSTEM WITH CONTROLLED PEDAL FEEDBACK
A brake system for a driving simulator, the brake system comprising a master cylinder chamber and a slave cylinder chamber which are arranged in fluid communication via a hydraulic system. The master cylinder chamber comprising a master cylinder piston which is mechanically connected to a brake pedal such that movement of the brake pedal results in translation of the master cylinder piston along the axis of said master cylinder chamber. The hydraulic system comprising a pressure module which is arranged such that it divides the hydraulic system into a master side in fluid communication with the master cylinder chamber and a slave side in fluid communication with the slave cylinder chamber. The pressure system is adapted to intermittently increase and decrease the pressure in the hydraulic system such that tactile feedback is provided to the brake pedal.
