The disclosure provides an approach for print redirection in a remote computing environment. Embodiments include receiving, on a remote device, a request to perform a printing task using a printing device associated with a client device. Embodiments include determining, on the remote device, that data associated with the request to perform the printing task exceeds a size threshold. Embodiments include generating, on the remote device, a plurality of data slices based on the data, wherein each respective data slice of the plurality of data slices comprises a respective subset of the data that does not exceed the size threshold. Embodiments include transmitting, from the remote device to the client device, the plurality of data slices as separate transmissions in separate time intervals along with information that allows the data to be reconstructed from the plurality of data slices for performing the printing task on the client device.

A system including a client terminal and server is provided. The client terminal includes a display controller configured to display a message transmitted from a user different from a user of the client terminal and a transmission unit configured to transmit a print request message including user identification information of the user different from the user of the client terminal and a file to be printed. The server includes a request unit configured to perform print request processing for printing the file to be printed by using a printing apparatus corresponding to the user identification information included in the print request message.

The image forming apparatus operations include setting a setting value for communication with a server based on a user operation and receiving an event notification in either one of a server push method and a pull method based on the setting value. In the server push method, the event notification is received from the server via a communication session established and being kept between the image forming apparatus and the server, and in the pull method an event acquisition request is transmitted from the image forming apparatus to the server and the event notification is received as a response to the event acquisition request. In a case where the event notification indicating the occurrence of a print job is received, the print job is acquired, and in a case where the server push method is rejected by the server, the event notification is received in the pull method.

Techniques are described for electronic content delivery. One method includes receiving information associated with the prescription order of a user account. In some cases, the information associated with the prescription order includes a medication identifier. The method may include performing a search using the medication identifier to obtain electronic medication documentation. The method may also include transmitting a sponsored content request that includes the medication identifier and receiving sponsored content information responsive to the sponsored content request. The method may further include determining that the user account has authorized communication via a user device and transmitting the electronic medication documentation and/or sponsored content information to the user device. In some examples, the method may include transmitting an indication that the electronic medication documentation and/or sponsored content information was transmitted to the user device.

An apparatus and method for a printing system is provided which determines whether image data input by execution of an input job is a blank and, in a case where the image data is determined to be a blank, the printing system records information indicating the determination of a blank as history information of the input job.
