Predictive System Resource Allocation
A system may include a processing unit; a storage device comprising instructions, which when executed by the processing unit, configure the processing unit to perform operations comprising: retrieving a meeting count of meetings scheduled during a future time period; generating a predicted usage level of a service during the future time period based on the meeting count; determining a resource modification for the service based on the predicted usage level; and implementing the resource modification prior to the future time period.
Maintaining core dump privacy during application fault handling
Maintaining core dump privacy during application fault handling. A core memory dump is received for an application from a runtime engine. Areas of the core memory dump are analyzed to identify structural data in the form of internal structures of the runtime engine. The identified structural data is retained in a modified core memory dump, and remaining non-structural data in the areas of the core memory dump is processed to ensure it is not readable by unauthorized entities in the modified core memory dump. The modified core memory dump is outputted for fault analysis.
DATA STORAGE SYSTEM DATA ACCESS ARBITRATION
A data storage system can organize a semiconductor memory into a first data set and a second data set with a first queue populated with a first data access request from a host. An assignment of an arbitration weight to the first queue with an arbitration circuit corresponds with the first queue being skipped during a deterministic window based on the arbitration weight.
Fault diagnosis of electronic control unit (ECU)
A method for fault diagnosis in an electronic control unit (ECU) of an engine fuel injection system. The method includes keeping the ECU and the engine fuel injection system at a set of pre-defined conditions, measuring an electrical current consumption of the ECU, and detecting a status of the ECU based on the measured electrical current consumption. Keeping the ECU and the engine fuel injection system at the set of pre-defined conditions includes switching the ECU on by switching the engine fuel injection system on, and keeping the engine fuel injection system at a not-running state. Detecting the status of the ECU based on the measured electrical current consumption includes detecting a normal status responsive to the measured electrical current consumption being in a normal electrical current range, detecting a first hardware defect in the ECU responsive to the measured electrical current consumption being in a first electrical current range, and detecting a second hardware defect in the ECU responsive to the measured electrical current consumption being in a second electrical current range.
CLOUD OVERSUBSCRIPTION SYSTEM
A cloud oversubscription system including one or more processors and a memory coupled with the one or more processors. The one or more processors effectuate operations including obtaining a list of service level agreement (SLA) availability values for each of one or more virtual machines (VMs) of a host. The one or more processors further effectuate operations including analyzing the list to determine a maximum availability number for the host. The one or more processors further effectuate operations including identifying a probable overload condition value based on the SLA availability values. The one or more processors further effectuate operations including performing at least one recommended action when the probable overload condition value exceeds an SLA before an occurrence of an overload condition.
Display device capable of performing self diagnosis in relation to partial discharge
A display device may include an image processor which is configured to process an image signal and includes a detector configured to determine a group of parameters by detecting a waveform of a detected partial discharge and measuring each of parameters of the waveform in the form of a binary number and a controller configured to identify the partial discharge by comparing the determined group with previously stored groups; and a display unit configured to display the image signal.
Automated issue remediation for information technology infrastructure
Automated issue remediation for information technology infrastructure comprises invoking an application programming interface to obtain at least one issue object corresponding to an alert generated by a monitoring system; matching the issue object to at least one diagnosis plugin of a plurality of diagnosis plugins; obtaining a prescription object from the diagnosis plugin, the prescription object comprising a remedy; and invoking the remedy after verifying the remedy is authorized to proceed.
Abnormality detection system, abnormality detection method, abnormality detection program, and method for generating learned model
A method and system that efficiently selects sensors without requiring advanced expertise or extensive experience even in a case of new machines and unknown failures. An abnormality detection system includes a storage unit for storing a latent variable model and a joint probability model, an acquisition unit for acquiring sensor data that is output by a sensor, a measurement unit for measuring the probability of the sensor data acquired by the acquisition unit based on the latent variable model and the joint probability model stored by the storage unit, a determination unit for determining whether the sensor data is normal or abnormal based on the probability of the sensor data measured by the measurement unit, and a learning unit for learning the latent variable model and the joint probability model based on the sensor data output by the sensor.
INTER-PROCESS COMMUNICATION FAULT DETECTION AND RECOVERY SYSTEM
An inter-process communication (IPC) system, includes a first client engine, a first server engine, and a broker engine that is coupled to the first client engine. The broker engine initiates a first timer that is configured to reset when traffic is received from the first server engine while the first server engine is registered with the broker engine and coupled to the broker engine via a communication channel. The traffic that causes the first timer to reset includes at least one of: traffic generated by the first client engine to complete a request, and a first server-to-broker heartbeat message generated by the first server engine. The broker engine determines that the first timer has reached a predefined time amount, and in response, removes the registration of the first server engine and removes the communication channel between the broker engine and the first server engine.
Dynamic partial power down of memory-side cache in a 2-level memory hierarchy
A system and method are described for flushing a specified region of a memory side cache (MSC) within a multi-level memory hierarchy. For example, a computer system according to one embodiment comprises: a memory subsystem comprised of a non-volatile system memory and a volatile memory side cache (MSC) for caching portions of the non-volatile system memory; and a flush engine for flushing a specified region of the MSC to the non-volatile system memory in response to a deactivation condition associated with the specified region of the MSC.
