A communication device intended to be connected to a debugging port of a first microcontroller, the communication device including a second microcontroller connected to a first wireless communication unit and intended to be connected to said debugging port, the first wireless communication unit being capable of receiving a request over a wireless communication link transmitted by a user interface device, the second microcontroller being capable of authenticating the user interface device, of determining, in the case where the user interface device is authenticated, whether the request is authorized for said authenticated user interface device, and of transmitting the request to the debugging port only if the request is authorized.

Testing device for testing internet-of-things device

Technologies for providing a testing environment to an Internet-of-Things (IoT) device, including a narrow band IoT device, are discussed herein. A testing device is connected to the IoT device and establishes a test data link with a testing environment, allowing for a test communication pathway that operates in parallel to the main communication link used by the IoT device. The testing device may use various communication protocols to perform testing on the IoT device. The testing device may also provide Internet capabilities by providing an Internet Protocol address to the data provided by the IoT device, allowing the IoT device to act as an Internet-enabled IoT device during testing.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR IDENTIFYING OPERATIONAL DISRUPTIONS IN MOBILE COMPUTING DEVICES VIA A MONITORING APPLICATION THAT REPETITIVELY RECORDS MULTIPLE SEPARATE CONSECUTIVE FILES LISTING LAUNCHED OR INSTALLED APPLICATIONS

A system and method for discovering fault conditions such as conflicts between applications and an operating system, driver, hardware, or a combination thereof, installed in mobile computing devices uses a mobile device running a diagnostic application. A list of applications that were launched or installed during a time period prior to an operational disruption is retrieved. A data table of combinations of incompatible programs and drivers is used to analyze the list of the applications that were launched or installed to create a list of potential fault-causing interactions due to software incompatibilities of software installed in the mobile computing device. A knowledge database is updated with data identifying at least one of the potential fault-causing interactions. Further disclosed is a computer program that identifies hardware-created or software-created problems and operational disruptions in mobile computing devices by collecting data on incompatibilities in particular mobile computing devices on the internet.

COMPUTER-IMPLEMENTED METHOD, COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCT AND COMPUTING SYSTEM

A method, computer program product, and computing system for associating a local communications port on a local computing device with a DUT communications port on a Device-Under-Test. A user is enabled to remotely access the DUT communications port via the local communications port using a remote computing device.

Systems and methods for offline testing of customer premise equipment
09798640 · 2017-10-24 · ·

Systems and methods are described for testing customer premise equipment in an offline fashion. According to certain embodiments, a testing system including one or more computing devices can identify a test scenario that includes information associated with one or more commands and expected results associated with the commands. Such commands can be executed by customer premise equipment. One or more respective images associated with the execution of a command can be captured, and information associated with the command, the associated expected result, and one or more respective images can be displayed for evaluation by a user to determine whether the command is operating properly in the customer premise equipment that executed the command. Certain embodiments describe a confidence level which can correspond to a number of images to be captured in order to decrease the possibility that content was not captured for evaluation.

Recovery program using diagnostic results

Techniques for recovering an enclosure are provided. A recovery program is retrieved from a recovery program repository. Results from a plurality of diagnostic tests are retrieved. The diagnostic test results are analyzed with the recovery program. The recovery program determines an enclosure recovery action. The enclosure is recovered using the determined recovery action.

System, method, and computer program for remotely driving mobile web application testing on mobile devices

A system, method, and computer program product are provided for remotely driving mobile web application testing on mobile devices. In use, a secure connection is established between a test manager residing on a test management system and a mobile web application residing on a mobile device associated with a user, the secure connection being established to remotely drive one or more automated tests of the mobile web application residing on the mobile device by the test manager residing on the test management system. Additionally, a test scenario is sent from the test manager residing on the test management system to a test driver runtime component of the mobile web application residing on the mobile device, the test scenario including one or more steps for automatically testing the mobile web application residing on the mobile device. In response to the test driver runtime component executing the one or more steps for automatically testing the mobile web application residing on the mobile device, a report is received from the test driver runtime component of the mobile web application residing on the mobile device by the test manager residing on the test management system, the report including results of automatically testing the mobile web application residing on the mobile device.

Executing test scripts with respect to a server stack

A functional test execution engine (“FTEE”) may be configured to execute test scripts with respect to a server stack. The FTEE may be communicatively coupled to a test script storage device, which may store the test scripts. The FTEE may select one or more test scripts for execution with respect to the server stack. The one or more test scripts may carry out maintenance or diagnostic functions for the server stack. The FTEE may determine the processing resources of the server stack and, based on those processing resources, select a first set of test scripts from the one or more test scripts to execute. The FTEE may cause the first set of test scripts selected to execute with respect to the server stack in order to generate test script results. The FTEE may store the test script results for subsequent analysis and use during execution of subsequent test scripts.

Coordinating fault recovery in a distributed system

In various embodiments, methods and systems for coordinating, between a host and a tenant, fault recovery of tenant infrastructure in a distributed system is provided. A fault occurrence is determined for a tenant infrastructure in the distributed system. The fault occurrence may be a software failure or hardware failure of the tenant infrastructure supporting a service application of the tenant. A fault recovery plan is communicated to the tenant to notify the tenant of the fault occurrence and actions taken to restore the tenant infrastructure. It is determined whether a fault recovery plan response is received from the tenant; the fault recovery plan response is an acknowledgement from the tenant of the fault recovery plan. Upon receiving the fault recovery plan response or at the expiration of a predefined time limit, the fault recovery plan is executed to restore the tenant infrastructure.

Maintenance management systems and methods

Systems and techniques for obtaining and maintaining maintenance records for various assets are described. In one embodiment, a computing device may be wirelessly coupled to a measurement device when the computing device is placed in proximity with the computing device. Upon measuring one or more parameters of a device under test (DUT), the measurement device may provide the measured parameters to the computing device in the form of measurement data. In some embodiments, the computing device associates the measured parameters with the corresponding DUT from which the measurements were obtained and provides the associated measured parameter to, for example, a service provider for future access. In another embodiment, the measurement device itself is configured to associate the measurement parameters with the DUT and provide the associated measurement parameters to the service provider.
