FILE SYSTEM AWARE COMPUTATIONAL STORAGE BLOCK
The technology disclosed herein pertains to a system and method for providing the ability for a computational storage device (CSD) to understand data layout based upon automatic detection or host identification of the file system occupying a non-volatile memory express (NVMe) namespace, the method including receiving, at a CSD, a request to process a file using a computation program stored on the CSD, detecting a filesystem associated with the file within a namespace of CSD, mounting the filesystem on the CSD, interpreting a data structure associated with the file within the namespace, and reading the physical data blocks associated with the file into a computational storage memory (CSM) of the CSD.

HASH BASED FILTER
A method for cluster based searching for a value range stored in a storage system, the method may include receiving a request to find a certain value range within a set of information elements that are stored in a storage system; wherein the set of information elements comprises subsets of information elements associated with subset hash based filters; wherein different subsets of information elements are associated with different subset hash based filters; determining a certain cluster value of a certain cluster that comprises the certain value range; applying one or more hush functions on the certain cluster value to provide one or more hash results; and determining whether one or more members of the certain cluster are possibly in a subset of information elements, based on the one or more hash results and on a subset hash based filter of the subset of information elements; and when determining that the one or more members of the certain cluster are possibly in the subset then searching, within the subset, a matching information element that matches the certain value range.
Method of Building and Searching a Multi-dimensional Cross-linked Distributed Ledger
A method for creating a link between hyperledger blocks by a block link server. The method comprises receiving by a block link server executing on a computer system a first link creation message from a first network element, the first link creation message comprising first block information comprising a first hyperledger identifier and a first block identifier, both associated with a first hyperledger, receiving by the block link server a second link creation message, comprising second block information comprising a second hyperledger identifier and a second block identifier, both associated with a second hyperledger, storing by the block link server a link data structure comprising the first block information and the second block information, and sending by the block link server a link identifier of the link data structure to the first network element.
Fileset partitioning for data storage and management
In one approach, filesets to be backed up are divided into partitions and snapshots are pulled for each partition. In one architecture, a data management and storage (DMS) cluster includes a plurality of peer DMS nodes and a distributed data store implemented across the peer DMS nodes. One of the peer DMS nodes receives fileset metadata for the fileset and defines a plurality of partitions for the fileset based on the fileset metadata. The peer DMS nodes operate autonomously to execute jobs to pull snapshots for each of the partitions and to store the snapshots of the partitions in the distributed data store.

Ephemeral storage management for container-based virtual machines
A virtualized computing system includes: a host cluster including hosts executing a virtualization layer on hardware platforms thereof, the virtualization layer configured to support execution of virtual machines (VMs), the VMs including a pod VM, the pod VM including a container engine configured to support execution of containers in the pod VM, the pod VM including a first virtual disk attached thereto; and an orchestration control plane integrated with the virtualization layer, the orchestration control plane including a master server in communication with a pod VM controller, the pod VM controller configured to execute in the virtualization layer external to the VMs and cooperate with a pod VM agent in the pod VM, the pod VM agent generating root directories for the containers in the pod VM, each of the root directories comprising a union a read/write ephemeral layer stored on the first virtual disk and a read-only layer.

Systems and methods for records tagging based on a specific area or region of a record
Provided are systems and methods for classifying and tagging records in a record management system using information extracted and analyzed from specific areas or regions of records. A specific area or region of the record may be scanned, and the content disposed therein processed against a plurality of classification templates. Based on proximity to the classification templates, the record may be assigned one or more tags corresponding to the classification templates.
