Content search and geographical considerations
Content search and geographical consideration techniques and system employed as part of a digital environment are described. In one or more implementations, a digital medium environment is described for configuring image searches by one or more computing devices. Data is received by the one or more computing devices that identifies images obtained by users and used as part of content creation, indicates geographical locations of respective said users that obtained the images or associated with the content that includes the images, and indicates times associated with the users as obtaining the images or use of the images as part of the content. A map is built by the one or more computing devices that describes how use of the images as part of the content creation is diffused over the geographical locations over the indicated times. An image search is controlled by the one or more computing devices based on the map and a geographic location associated with the image search.

Generic card feature extraction based on card rendering as an image
Methods and apparatus for using features of images representing content items to improve the presentation of the content items are disclosed. In one embodiment, a plurality of digital images are obtained, where each of the images represents a corresponding one of a plurality of content items. Image features of each of the digital images are determined. Additional features including at least one of user features pertaining to a user of a client device or contextual features pertaining to the client device are ascertained. At least a portion of the content items are provided via a network to the client device using features that include or are derived from both the image features of each of the plurality of digital images and the additional features.

Digital supplement association and retrieval for visual search
Systems and methods for identification and retrieval of content for visual search are provided. An example method includes receiving data specifying a digital supplement. The data may identify a digital supplement and a supplement anchor for associating the digital supplement with visual content. The method may also include generating a data structure instance that specifies the digital supplement and the supplement anchor and, after generating the data structure instance, enabling triggering of the digital supplement by an image based at least on storing the data structure instance in a database that includes a plurality of other data structure instances. The other data structure instances may each specify a digital supplement and one or more supplement anchors.

Extraction of tags from user-entered free text
Described herein are systems and methods for supplementing and/or replacing free-entered text with tags, which may be phrases and/or individual words. The tags are then associated with an individual, such as a customer, and the association is stored in a database. At least in part because of the association of the tag with a customer, the tags may be required to be pre-approved. Additionally, a representative that entered the text, and to whom the tags are at least initially displayed, may be given the option of deleting the tag and/or identifying replacement tag(s).
Interactive semi-automated borescope video analysis and damage assessment system and method of use
A method of assessing damage to a component includes displaying a sensor image of the component in a first viewing pane, displaying a reference image of the component, which is a graphical depiction of the component with accurate dimensions, in a second viewing pane, placing a plurality of first identification markers on the sensor image of the component in the first viewing pane to correspond to a matching location with a second identification marker on the component in the reference image, identifying a region of damage on the component in the sensor image, mapping the region of damage to the component in the reference image using the plurality of first and second identification markers, and calculating a size of the region of damage.
Conversion and display of a user input
Described herein are methods and systems allowing a company to market and advertise its brands, products and/or services in a mobile platform by use of an application converting a user input into a corresponding branded icon, logo or image and displaying the same. The user input is in the form of a text entry containing a pre-defined term corresponding to one or more branded images, icons or logos. By allowing a user to select one of the displayed branded images or logos, the application is able to trigger a number of third party applications associated with the selected branded image, icon or logo.
Reminders to capture image data
An example of an apparatus including an input device to receive details about an event is provided. The apparatus further includes a camera to capture image data at the event. The apparatus also includes a memory storage unit to store the image data captured by the camera. In addition, the apparatus includes a reminder generator to generate a plurality of reminders during the event based on the details. Each reminder of the plurality of reminders requests an image from the camera. Furthermore, the apparatus includes a processor to index the image data in a database on the memory storage unit. The database is to be used to generate a gallery about the event.
