Method and apparatus for structured documents
Methods and systems for organizing information in a grid. Aspects of this grid may be easily manipulated via user interface operations. This grid may be easily manipulated to create or edit a hierarchy. Grid elements may be expanded or collapsed alternatively to show or hide hidden elements. A canvas may contain objects that may be easily moved and/or repositioned via user interface operations.

Low-resource sentence compression system
Embodiments of the present invention provide systems, methods, and computer storage media for sentence compression in which a provided sentence is compressed to fit within an allotted space. Portions of the input sentence are copied to generate the compressed sentence. Upon receipt of a sentence, top candidate compressed sentences may be determined based on probabilities of segments of the input sentence to be included in a potential compressed sentence. The top candidate compressed sentences are re-ranked based on grammatical accuracy scores for each of the candidate compressed sentences using a language model trained using linguistic features of words and/or phrases. The highest scoring candidate compressed sentence may be presented to the user.

Display control apparatus and recording medium
A display control apparatus includes: a display control unit that displays a first page to which an object is affixed at a designated position and a second page as arranged side by side on a display; a detecting unit that detects overlap between the object and the second page when the first page and the second page are arranged side by side; and a processing unit that performs a process for preventing a reduction in visual recognizability of the second page displayed on the display due to the overlap in the case where the overlap is detected by the detecting unit.
Computing device and corresponding method for generating data representing text
An example method involves (i) accessing first data representing text, wherein the text defines at least one position representing a particular type of grammatical break between two portions of the text; (ii) identifying, from among the at least one position, a position that is closest to a target position within the text; (iii) based on the identified position within the text, generating second data that represents a proper subset of the text, wherein the proper subset extends from an initial position within the text to the identified position within the text; and (iv) providing output based on the generated second data.
RESOURCE SIZE-BASED CONTENT ITEM SELECTION
Systems and methods for automatically determining a content item size may be based on a size of a viewport and a width of a parent element. A script may be configured to determine a size of a viewport, determine a width of a parent element of a resource, and determine a content item size based, at least in part, on the size of the view port and the width of the parent element. A dimension of the determined content item size may be used by a content item selection system to determine a set of content items. A content item selection system may select a content item from the determined set of content items and serve data to effect display of the selected content item in the parent element with the resource.
Systems and methods of multi-stage configuration service for policy-driven transformation
A multi-stage configuration service running in a cloud computing environment receives a transformation request from a client device. Based on a policy identified in the transformation request, the multi-stage configuration service constructs a configuration file containing key-value pairs representing settings of a requested transformation. The settings are set or constrained in accordance with zero or more facets contained in the policy that describe how an application feature is set or constrained in performing a transformation on a source file or files. The multi-stage configuration service determines, in accordance with the policy, whether the configuration file is structurally correct in view of a user-provided overriding property value and either enqueues the configuration file for a publishing agent in the cloud computing environment to perform the requested transformation or returns an error report to the client device.
