In one embodiment, a mobile phone comprises a wireless communicator, a proximity detector, and at least one processor. The wireless communicator is configured to receive information from an input apparatus external to the mobile phone. The proximity detector is configured to detect an object in proximity. The at least one processor is configured to perform a voice call with a first phone apparatus external to the mobile phone and activate an input from the input apparatus when the proximity detector detects the object in proximity and the at least one processor performs the voice call.

The attachment portion can include a plurality of non-conductive layers that are configured to attach to the fingertip of a user. The attachment portion can be generally flexible and include an adhesive layer for attaching the device to the tip of a user's finger. The attachment portion can also be in the form of a flexible sleeve that will extend over the user's finger. The sleeve can include a hole in the tip for allowing a user's fingernail to extend therethrough. The conductive nipple will transfer the conductive energy of the user's skin therethrough, allowing a focused point of activation on the touchscreen. The attachment portion can also include a fingerprint reader, microprocessor, and storage medium embedded therein.

Removing of the sleeve exposes the thumb or fingertip for operating the touch interface of electronic device. The invention is advantageous allowing use of naked finger and/or thumb tips while wearing the glove for interacting with touch interface or registering thumb or fingerprints for biometric identification.
