The present is directed to a virtually indestructible mailbox which has a dome shaped end directed to destructive snow plow road work, anti-destructive armour shape is to propel any incoming impact forces and to be absorbed into the circular body by transferring impact loads into the tubular armour bullet-like shape. A portable secure mailbox system providing a mail container unit having a container-unit protrusion, a container-unit door, and a container-unit partition, a base anchor unit allowing filling with anchoring material such as water or sand, and having a base-unit recess, base-unit wheels, a base-unit removable plug, and a base-unit foot, at least one bolt and nut to secure the mail container unit to the base anchor unit, a powered sensor-transmitter unit to detect activity and transmit notifications, an optional solar array to recharge the powered sensor-transmitter unit, and an optional ornamental casing. The portable secure mailbox system provides a mailbox and support base that can be easily transported and put in place, when empty, and, after the base anchor unit is filled with anchoring material such as water or sand, and the mail container unit is mounted upon the base anchor unit, provides a stable secure mailbox that can detect activity and transmit notifications. A house number illumination device for lighting a house number on a mailbox includes a housing that defines an interior space. A power module is coupled to the housing and positioned in the interior space. Each of a plurality of fixtures is operationally coupled to the power module by a respective wire that extends from the housing. Each fixture is configured to couple to a surface proximate to a respective digit of a house number. Each fixture comprises a bulb so that the plurality of fixtures is configured to illuminate the house number.

A mailbox mounting bracket for a mailbox. The mailbox mounting bracket comprises a lower first member and an upper second member. The lower first member has a T-shaped transverse cross sectional profile and the upper second member defines a mating T-shaped recess. The T-shaped recess of the upper second member captively receives and encloses the T-shaped transverse cross sectional profile of the lower first member such that three sides of the lower first member are completely surrounded by the upper second member while a fourth side of the lower first member is only partially surrounded by lower legs of the upper second member and is at least partially exposed so as to facilitate attachment of the lower first member to a surface of a mailbox post. The upper second member is slidably moveable relative to the lower first member.

A self-rightening post system is configured to secure a post in a casing in a desired or vertical orientation and to self-righten the post upon the removal of a deflecting force, such as from a car or lawnmower. A self-rightening post system utilizes a plurality of adjustable retainer assemblies that are configured between the post and the inside surface of the casing to produce a self-rightening force upon deflection of the post. The plurality of adjustable retainer assemblies may be configured around the post and/or on opposing sides of the post to ensure that the post will self-righten regardless of the direction of a deflecting force. The casing may be a tube and the self-rightening post system may allow the post to rotate within the casing thereby allowing a user to change a desired rotational orientation.

A house number illumination device for lighting a house number on a mailbox includes a housing that defines an interior space. A power module is coupled to the housing and positioned in the interior space. Each of a plurality of fixtures is operationally coupled to the power module by a respective wire that extends from the housing. Each fixture is configured to couple to a surface proximate to a respective digit of a house number. Each fixture comprises a bulb so that the plurality of fixtures is configured to illuminate the house number.

Disclosed is a mailbox mount. The mailbox mount comprising a vertical post with a lower end of the post fixed to the ground. Further, the mailbox mount comprising a pivot arm rigidly fixed on the upper end of the post. Further, the mailbox mount comprising an extension arm rotatably positioned on the pivot arm, wherein a first end of the extension arm supports a mailbox, wherein the extension arm pivots on the pivot arm to move the extension arm and mailbox laterally.

A mailbox impact return system with a spring and controlled rate retraction/contraction device is provided that addresses problems associated with damage to mailboxes/mail-posts caused by the impact of snow. Additionally, the mailbox impact return system is provided that combines flexibility and a return action.

Devices, apparatus, kits, systems and methods for protecting sides of wood, plastic or metal posts from damage with easily attachable plastic panels. The panels can provide marking surfaces for addresses on mailbox posts, as well as a surface for applying desirable colors and indicia designs thereon. The panels can each have one side edge with a C shape with open socket, and an opposite side edge with an arrow tip and catch. The panels can attach to one another by having orienting and positioning the arrow tip and catch on top of and into the open socket of the C shape edge. Alternatively, the panels can attach to one another by pushing the side edge with the arrow tip and catch sideways into the open socket of the C shape side edge so that arrow tip and catch snap within the socket of C shape side edge. Plural panels can be attached about a base of a post such as a rectangular or circular cross-section mailbox post or fence post or deck post, and the like.

A mailbox protection device is provided. The device may include an angular deflection surface. The angular deflection surface may include a first planar deflection panel and a second planar deflection panel contiguous along a linear vertex. The linear vertex may be directed toward, for example, oncoming traffic to deflect impacting snow away from a mailbox. The impacting snow may come from passing snowplows, for instance. The device may also include a receiving channel. The receiving channel can be defined in the linear vertex extending through the device from an opening at a top end of the linear vertex to an opening at a bottom end of the linear vertex. The receiving channel may receivably cooperate with a known fence post to anchor the device in the ground.
