The mailbox assembly includes a post, a mail receptacle on an upper poste end, and a base on a lower base end. The base includes one or more hollow cavities for retaining ballast material to thereby move a center of gravity of the mailbox assembly towards the bottom surface, such that the mailbox can withstand 100 N of force applied perpendicular to the post without toppling. The post may also have one or more cavities for holding ballast material.

This disclosure relates generally to novel system comprised to provide a foldable and removable mailbox or drop box which attaches securely to a door, window or the like by pinning its hook or wedge between the door, window etc. It is made out of soft and flexible outer materials so that it is safe to deploy in hallways and walkways, common areas, etc. Current invention has a very self-intuitive design so that it could be deployed without tools and no tedious installation required. This invention will reduce loss of delivery goods and items due to theft, open exposure when user is not at home.

Mailbox system having a removable mailbox

Described and shown is a Mailbox system (1) for receiving at least one item of mail. In order to simplify the delivery and/or handing over of items of mail the mailbox system (1) can comprise a mailbox (2) and a mailbox holder (3), wherein the mailbox (2) has an interior for receiving the at least one item of mail and at least one entry (4) to the interior for inserting the at least one item of mail into the interior, and wherein the mailbox (2) is detachably held by the mailbox holder (3).

A secure delivered mail repository comprises a durable cuboid box having an automatically locking and unlocking door capable of being irremovably secured to a surface, emergency illumination and an anti-theft concrete and cable tether. The repository has a digital panel capable of user interface in electrical communication with a power source, a plurality of digital cameras and a plurality of speakers. The repository may be monitored from a user's internet enabled electronic device which is configured to operate in conjunction with a home security system of a user while the illumination means is configured to visually alert a first responder to an adjacent emergency. The repository facilitates the safe and secure delivery of a package mailed to the user by enabling a delivery service to deposit a package within the repository and secure the same therein.

A post shield to protect a mailbox and a post from damage caused by snowplows, snow, sleet, ice, or combinations thereof. The post shield has a base support, at least one post shield board, and an upper frame support that are interconnected to the post to create a post shield. The base support has (1) a front plate, (2) a rear plate capable of being positioned a post shield distance from the front plate to form a shield aperture, wherein the post shield distance permits the post shield board to be (a) removably received between the front plate and the rear plate and (b) essentially vertically leveled when positioned in the base support, and (3) a frame base capable of receiving a portion of the corresponding post. The post shield board and the post each have at least one upper frame slot that receive the upper frame support.

BREAK-AWAY BRACKET AND SPIKE

A ground spike with an attachable mounting bracket. The ground spike has an angled tip adapted to be driven into the ground. The top of the spike has a mounting plate configured to be substantially flat with the ground surface when installed. The mounting plate can be of any suitable size or shape. A plurality of slots are located around the perimeter, and extend towards the center for a distance. An upper post fastening section with an open upper end receives and secures a post, such as a mailbox post. Holes in the sides of the fastening section allow for securely fastening the mounting bracket to the post, such as through screws or similar fastening means. The lower end of the post fastening section includes a second mounting plate, or flanges that extend outward at a right angle. The second mounting plate or flanges comprise a plurality of slots that are configured to align with the slots in the mounting plate attached to the spike. Mechanical fasteners, such as bolts and nuts, are used to fasten the mounting bracket to the spike mounting plate. Preferably, the mechanical fasteners are made of a material that breaks when a threshold level of force is applied to the post secured to the mounting bracket.
