Securing systems and methods of securing a transport container to an attachment point. In one embodiment, the securing system includes an actuator, an attachment structure, and an electronic controller. The attachment structure is dimensioned to complement the actuator. The electronic controller is operably coupled to the actuator for attaching and releasing the actuator to the attachment structure.

A system for securely depositing an item includes: a deposit box with a door configured to provide selective access to an interior space in the deposit box; a lock mechanism configured to attach to the deposit box to selectively block the door from opening; a first proximity sensor operatively connected to the lock mechanism to operate the lock mechanism to block the door or allow the door to open; a second proximity sensor configured to be attached to at least one of: a delivery person and a piece of delivery equipment; a third proximity sensor; and a first transmitter operatively connected to the lock mechanism and configured to transmit a signal indicative of operating information regarding the lock mechanism, and wherein the deposit box is at least 18 inches wide and 24 inches long.

A parcel delivery locker has a body portion formed by four panels that are joined to each other along hinge joints at their vertical edges. The hinges joints allow the body portion to be alternatively configured into a stack for shipping, or as a box for use in receiving and containing parcels. A lid is joined to the body portion during assembly and has an electronically controlled locking mechanism that can be wirelessly controlled to lock or unlock. A floor portion is coupled to the four panels as well.

A system for securing packages has a support pole secured proximate to a hinged side of a door; a frame secured to the support pole; a securing means secured to the door frame and to the door; and a package box that is secured to the frame and that receives a delivered package. The package box is defined by a front panel, a bottom panel rotatably secured to the front panel, a lid panel rotatably secured to the frame, and a first and second plurality of side members rotatably secured to the frame and the front panel. When the package box is in a folded position, the front panel, the bottom panel, and the lid panel are oriented vertically and are proximate to the frame. When the package box is opened, the front panel extends outwardly in a vertical orientation and the bottom panel rotates downwardly to a horizontal orientation.

A temperature controlled delivery appliance and a method of operating the same are provided. The temperature-controlled delivery appliance includes a storage container, a climate control system, a sanitization assembly, and a locking mechanism. The sanitization assembly may include an ultraviolet light assembly or an ozone generator that may be selectively activated after a delivery to sanitize the delivered items. The locking mechanism locks the door of the temperature-controlled delivery appliance to prevent user access during a sanitization cycle, as well as to prevent other unauthorized access.

A secure delivered mail repository comprises a durable cuboid box having an automatically locking and unlocking door capable of being irremovably secured to a surface, emergency illumination and an anti-theft concrete and cable tether. The repository has a digital panel capable of user interface in electrical communication with a power source, a plurality of digital cameras and a plurality of speakers. The repository may be monitored from a user's internet enabled electronic device which is configured to operate in conjunction with a home security system of a user while the illumination means is configured to visually alert a first responder to an adjacent emergency. The repository facilitates the safe and secure delivery of a package mailed to the user by enabling a delivery service to deposit a package within the repository and secure the same therein.

Improvements in an electronically operated lockbox mailbox assembly is disclosed. The assembly provides a customizable lockbox assembly with a smart lock. The enclosure can be configured with heating, cooling and humidity functions so the internal contents remains at an optimal temperature for storage until the unit is unlocked. The assembly can be linked with other home security devices. The smart lock operated with an application for tracking, opening and security of the assembly. The assembly may take the form of a box, locker, or similar shape that can be either free-standing or hard installed as part of a new commercial or residential build or retrofitted to an existing commercial or residential build that is powered via hardwire, plug or battery.

A package retention system and method to secure one or more packages to a fixture such as a door handle are provided. When packages are delivered while home owner is away, the delivered packages can be securely and safely retained using the package retention system. The package retention system includes a bag to accommodate packages, a pull string configured to wrap around an opening of the bag, and an enclosure that includes first and second locking mechanisms. The first locking mechanism locks or unlocks the pull string, and the second locking mechanism locks or unlocks a coupling member that is configured to be coupled to a fixture such as a door handle to secure the bag to the fixture.

An electrical continuity unattended package security apparatus and method of operation prevents unattended delivered packages from theft or molestation. A bag contains an item. The bag has a mesh sidewall weaved with a matrix of conductive wires. An electric cable, carrying electrical current is in contact with conductive wires. A current sensing device detects a disturbance to electrical continuity through the electric cable and conductive wires, such as attempts to cut the cable or open the bag. A disturbance to the electric cable or conductive wires triggers a visual and audible alarm. The terminus of the cable forms a loop that serves as a mounting means to the anchoring structure. Fasteners also serves as a mounting means. A coded pad controls a gate. When the package recipient or package deliverer register a predetermined code, the gate opens to enable access to electric cable and alarm reset means.
