The present invention relates to a package receptacle assembly that is integrated into a column of a home. The compartment in some embodiments has a door that is positioned in a front wall of the compartment so that the door is positioned between the rear wall of the compartment and a front door of a home, which obscures the door from view. The door in some arrangements has a locking assembly, which is configured to send out notification and provide remote control of the locking assembly in various iterations of the present invention. Some embodiments have a chute that extends through the column and between the compartment and the roof to allow delivery of a package onto the roof and through the column to the compartment, such as by way of a UAV. Other embodiments include a chute that extends from the compartment to the home.

Method for operating a temperature controlled delivery box

A temperature controlled delivery appliance and a method of operating the same are provided. The temperature controlled delivery appliance includes a storage container, a climate control system for regulating the temperature within the storage container, and a controller for implementing a pre-conditioning method, which includes maintaining the storage container at a preconditioning temperature until a delivery notification is received, and operating the climate control system to regulate the container temperature to a target temperature upon receiving the delivery notification.

The latch locks the drone parcel receptacle in the closed position. The latch is released from the interior of the residence. The plurality of torsion springs store the energy required to close the lid on the drop box.

A package-receiving-locker may have a collapsible-locker configured for receiving packages in a safe and secure manner, that minimizes theft opportunities. The collapsible-locker may be removably attachable to a side-hinged-door that a person typically uses for entry/exit of a building, to secure the collapsible-locker to the building, which further minimizes theft opportunities. A door-bracket-assembly, with an adjustable ratchet means, may be used to removably attach the collapsible-locker to a variety of side-hinged-doors of different door widths. The package-receiving-locker may have a pod that is removably attachable to the collapsible-locker. The pod may have some electronics, such as, an external front facing camera, light(s), and at least one battery. The pod may also have a handle configured to hold a weight of the package-receiving-locker. The collapsible-locker may have a second and internal camera for monitoring packages within the collapsible-locker. When not in use, the collapsible-locker may be collapsed into a smaller footprint.

The package box is defined by a front panel, a bottom panel rotatably secured to the front panel, a lid panel rotatably secured to the frame, and a first and second plurality of side members rotatably secured to the frame and the front panel. When the package box is in a folded position, the front panel, the bottom panel, and the lid panel are oriented vertically and are proximate to the frame. When the package box is opened, the front panel extends outwardly in a vertical orientation and the bottom panel rotates downwardly to a horizontal orientation.
