APPROACHES FOR MANAGING RESTRICTIONS FOR MIDDLEWARE APPLICATIONS
Systems and methods are provided for determining an access request provided by an application that seeks to interact with one or more backend systems through a computing system. One or more predefined restrictions can be enforced on the application, the computing system, or the one or more backend systems.
INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND INFORMATION PROCESSING PROGRAM
An information processing device includes a condition setting unit that sets a change condition that is a condition for changing data, and a data processing unit that changes the data in a case where the change condition is satisfied.
Method and system for joining an online meeting
A method includes permitting, by a server, a first device to join an online meeting held with at least a third device based on receiving a user input from the first device. The method includes permitting, by the server, a second device to join the online meeting in addition to the first device based on receiving login information associated with a user account used by the first device from the second device. The method includes providing, by the server and to at least the third device in the online meeting, screen information of the second device after permitting the second device to join the online meeting.
Methods, systems, apparatus and articles of manufacture to obfuscate metered data using a mask
A technique allows a smart meter to receive a mask. The smart meter may receive the mask from a utility company or an escrow service. The smart meter may apply the mask to original metered data on a continuous schedule, on a periodic schedule, or on a determined schedule, or on a randomized schedule to conceal the original metered data, The smart meter may apply different masks at different times. The smart meter transmits the concealed metered data as augmented metered data remotely to an electric utility via a communication network.
PROVISIONING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PROVISIONING ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS FOR ELECTRONIC DEVICES
A provisioning apparatus for performing a provisioning procedure with an electronic component for an electronic device. The provisioning procedure includes providing provisioning data to the electronic component and processing the provisioning data by the electronic component. The provisioning apparatus has a provisioning and sensing unit electrically connected with the electronic component for performing the provisioning procedure. The provisioning and sensing unit detects a power profile of the electronic component, which represents the electric power consumed by the electronic component and/or the electromagnetic power. The provisioning apparatus has a provisioning control unit configured to receive the power profile from the provisioning and sensing unit and to compare the power profile with a reference power profile for the electronic component. The provisioning control unit determines on the basis of the comparison between the power profile of the electronic component and the reference power profile whether the electronic component is authentic or non-authentic.
Glitch Attack Mitigation for In-Vehicle Networks
Systems, apparatuses, and methods to mitigate effects of glitch attacks on a broadcast communication bus are provided. The voltage levels of the communication bus are repeatedly sampled to identify glitch attacks. The voltage level on the communication bus can be overdriven or overwritten to either corrupt received messages or correct received messages.
Information terminal, communication terminal, server, license transfer system and license transfer method
Provided is an information terminal connected to a communication terminal which is connectable to one or more other information terminals, wherein the information terminal comprises a communication unit which receives, from the communication terminal, a connection history with the other information terminals which were previously connected to the communication terminal, and a license transfer management unit which extracts an information terminal among the other information terminals that satisfies a license transfer condition based on the received connection history.
Methods and apparatus to collect distributed user information for media impressions and search terms
Disclosed examples include accessing a search term from a client device; accessing a first identifier, the first identifier corresponding to a first database proprietor, the first identifier to access first user information corresponding to a user of the client device; accessing a second identifier, the second identifier corresponding to a second database proprietor, the second identifier to access second user information corresponding to the user of the client device; providing the search term, the first identifier, and the second identifier in a message; and transmitting the message to a server.
Children's earn-to-play app
A process for controlling device use, the process comprising: receiving, from a first user having a token credit amount, a request to use a play app having a required token amount; determining a play response based on the token credit amount, wherein the determination corresponds to the following: if the token credit amount is greater than the required token amount, then the request is granted; and if the token credit amount is less than the required token amount, then the request is denied.
USER DATA COLLECTION PRIVACY USING PROBABILISTIC DATA STRUCTURES
A method of collecting user device data includes receiving a probabilistic cardinality estimator data structure in the user device from a server, the probabilistic cardinality estimator data structure associated with a survey question. An answer to the survey question associated with the probabilistic cardinality estimator data structure is determined, and one or more elements are selectively added to the probabilistic cardinality estimator data structure based on the determined answer to the survey question. The probabilistic cardinality estimator data structure is sent back to the server, which calculates the survey result from the probabilistic cardinality estimator data structure.
