CODE GENERATION DEVICE
The challenge of the present invention is to be able to use a large number of code generation apparatuses and to be able to identify each one.
In the apparatus, a plurality of electrodes detected by a change in a physical quantity detected by a touch panel by bringing it into contact with or by substantially into contact with the touch panel connected to a first information processing apparatus is arranged on a bottom surface of a housing, and the apparatus comprises a communication processing unit that is equipped with a housing formed of a conductive member connected to the plurality of electrodes and that enters a connected state based on at least a part of an electrode code with the first information processing apparatus that recognizes the electrode code formed based on electrodes detected by the touch panel among the plurality of electrodes.
APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR ENABLING INFORMATION TO BE READ FROM A TOUCH SCREEN APPARATUS
An apparatus and method and electronic device, the apparatus comprising: a memory element configured to store information; a switching element coupled to the memory element; wherein the switching element is configured to be switched from a first state to a second state in response to an input signal provided by a capacitive touch screen and wherein when the switching element is in the second state the information can be read from the memory element by the capacitive touch screen.
Electronic device enclosure
An enclosure for an electronic device includes a device opening and a device window. The enclosure typically includes a door that may be rotated about an axis to provide access to the device opening while remaining connected to the enclosure. Exemplary enclosures include a slot for a magnetic card reading system that facilitates the alignment and insertion of a magnetic card.
Barcode-reading system
This patent specification describes operations of a mobile device with barcode-reading capabilities and an application and license server. A mobile device may include a barcode-reading application downloaded from an application server. The barcode-reading application may operate in a base mode or an enhanced mode. In the base mode, the barcode-reading application may establish a network connection to a licensing server to obtain a license code, and determine at least one operating permission authorized by the license code. In the enhanced mode, the barcode-reading application may implement at least one enhanced barcode-reading function which corresponds to the at least one operating permission authorized by the license code. For example, the enhanced barcode-reading function may be a function of decoding a barcode symbology that the decoder is restricted from decoding in the base mode of operation.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR RETRIEVING INFORMATION FROM AN INFORMATION CARRIER BY MEANS OF A CAPACITIVE TOUCH SCREEN
The present invention relates to a method comprising providing one or more information carrier(s) with a dielectric and/or conductive pattern and a detection device having a capacitive touch screen and inducing an interaction between the information carrier and the touch screen, wherein the interaction is based on a difference in the dielectric coefficient and/or the conductivity of the pattern and generates a touch signal and wherein the interaction is induced by relative motion between the information carrier and the touch screen. The invention further relates to a system comprising an information carrier comprising a dielectric and/or conductive pattern which encodes information and a detection device having a touch screen; the detection device is able to decode the information upon interaction between the information carrier and the touch screen, wherein the interaction is caused by a difference in the dielectric coefficient and/or the conductivity of the pattern.
Barcode-reading system
This patent specification describes a barcode-reading enhancement accessory for a mobile device having a barcode-reading capability. The accessory may include an outer case and an inner carriage. A mobile device is encased in the inner carriage, and the combination of the inner carriage and the mobile device is accommodated in the outer case. The inner carriage is configured to accommodate a mobile device of a particular size such that a mobile device of a different size may be accommodated in the outer case using a different inner carriage. The accessory may also include an optic system to fold an optical path of a field of illumination of a light source of the mobile device and/or a field of view of a camera of the mobile device.
Barcode reading system having a legacy mobile client function, a non-legacy mobile client function, and a relay function
A barcode reading application includes an image capture function for controlling a white light source and a camera of a mobile device to capture an image of a barcode in a target area. The barcode reading application also includes a decoder function for receiving the image of the barcode and generating decoded data representing data encoded in the barcode. The barcode reading application also includes a non-legacy mobile client function for transmitting the decoded data to a non-legacy system. The barcode reading application also includes a legacy mobile client function for transmitting the decoded data to an intermediate server, which then provides the decoded data received from the legacy mobile client function to a legacy system. The barcode reading application also includes a relay function for determining whether the decoded data is intended for the legacy system or the non-legacy system.
Remote infrared ink reader and authenticator
Systems, methods, and apparatus for reading and authenticating an infrared mark made with infrared (IR) ink. The IR ink reader and authenticator system includes a visible projection subsystem, an optical block, an imaging subsystem, a processing and control subsystem, and at least one enclosure. The infrared ink reader and authenticator system is preferably operable to validate both the infrared mark made with the infrared ink and a visible mark. Data related to the infrared mark and the visible mark is stored in a database.
Method for generating a time-dependent signal on a capacitive surface sensor and method for identifying a card-like object, and card-like object and use thereof
A method for generating a time-dependent signal on a capacitive surface sensor is provided and a method for identifying a card-like object, as well as a card-like object and the use thereof are also provided.
Identification verification system
A method and apparatus is provided for verifying the validity of ID cards. A card reading device reads an ID card and transmits a request to a database server. A database is queried and a reply is sent back to the card reading device indicating whether the ID is valid. If desired, the reply can include additional information, such as a description of the ID holder. The ID verification system can be used to help verify whether an ID belongs to the ID holder. The system can also log and timestamp events for future access.
