A sensor array (1) having at least one code reader that is designed for reading codes (3), and having at least one computing unit (7). The code reader with the computing unit (7) constitutes an RFID emulator sensor (2), in that the code reader and the computing unit (7) are connected via an emulator data channel (9), via which exclusively subsystem data and/or transponder emulator data can be written to a memory range of a memory unit of the computing unit (7) by the code reader or subsystem data and/or transponder emulator data can be read from this memory unit by means of the code reader, wherein this memory range is defined by a code (3) read by the code reader.

Communication platform

This disclosure relates to a communication system where a user can use a smart phone to scan a tag, such as a QR code, to retrieve a weblink. The weblink is unique and associated with the location of the tag, which may also be the location of an unpersonalised device, such as a video projector or other A/V equipment. Therefore, when the mobile phone connects to the weblink, the webserver can retrieve information associated with this particular unique code. This information is now specific to the location of the tag and may even include information about the unpersonalised device. The operator receives the information when the communication channel is established and therefore knows exactly what the subject of the call will be. Further, the call can be automatically routed to the most appropriate operator without audio menus to be navigated by the user.

An image associated with a poll may be acquired via a camera. One or more symbols indicating responses may be found by analyzing the image. The responses specified by the symbols may be determined and saved. The responses may also be displayed to the operator and/or to the respondents.

Machine-readable code rendering device and methods for using the same

A machine-readable code rendering device may include an electronic paper display and a machine-readable code rendering module that dynamically renders machine-readable codes on the electronic paper display. The electronic paper display may be configured so that the machine-readable codes are read by a light-based code reader off of the electronic paper display.

System and method for configuring an ID reader using a mobile device

A system and method for communicating at least one of updated configuration information and hardware setup recommendations to a user of an ID decoding vision system is provided. An image of an object containing one or more IDs is acquired with a mobile device. The ID associated with the object is decoded to derive information. Physical dimensions of the ID associated with the object are determined. Based on the information and the dimensions, configuration data can be transmitted to a remote server that automatically determines setup information for the vision system based upon the configuration data. The remote server thereby transmits at least one of (a) updated configuration information to the vision system and (b) hardware setup recommendations to a user of the vision system based upon the configuration data.

A system in accordance with the present disclosure may include a plurality of electronic devices that do not have Internet connectivity. Each electronic device may include a barcode decoder and a license activation application. The system may also include a computing device that has an Internet connection. The computing device may include a master program that is executable to obtain a plurality of identifiers from the plurality of electronic devices. The master program may also be executable to send at least one license request to a license server via the Internet connection. The at least one license request may include the plurality of identifiers. The master program may also be executable to receive a plurality of licenses from the license server in response to the at least one license request. The master program may also be executable to provide the plurality of licenses to the plurality of electronic devices.

RADAR-OPTICAL FUSION ARTICLE AND SYSTEM

A radar-optical fusion article for attachment to a substrate is described. The radar-optical fusion article includes a first retroreflective layer which is configured to retroreflect at least a portion of light having a wavelength in a range from about 400 nm to about 2500 nm. The radar-optical fusion article includes a second retroreflective layer disposed adjacent to the first retroreflective layer. The second retroreflective layer is configured to retroreflect at least a portion of an electromagnetic wave having a frequency in the range from about 0.5 GHz to about 100 GHz.

Personal protection equipment system

A method for tracking procedures performed on personal protection equipment (PPE) and actions of individuals includes the following steps. An article of PPE configured with a smart tag is provided to an individual prior to performance of a task. After the individual performs the task, the article of PPE is processed. Information is retrieved from the smart tag during at least one of: before, during and after processing the article of PPE. After the performance of the task, the individual's data is read and the individual enters into a designated area.
