The data processing apparatus includes a communication interface, an operation receiving portion, and processing circuitry. The communication interface is configured to receive the data from the external device via a communication line. The operation receiving portion is configured to receive an operation for instructing execution of the processing operation from the external device. The processing circuitry is configured to execute data processing for executing the processing operation in accordance with the operation, perform determination on whether a state of the data processing apparatus is suitable for continuing the data processing, and output determination result information to the external device in accordance with the determination and the operation. The determination result information includes information on content of the determination.
Device pairing techniques using digital watermarking
Computer-implemented techniques include detecting, using a camera of a computing device having one or more processors, a digital watermark displayed by a display of a computing system. The digital watermark can be a visual indicator that is detectable by the camera of the computing device, and the computing system can further comprise a set of speakers and a set of cameras. The techniques can include determining, by the computing device, a unique identifier for the computing system based on the digital watermark. The techniques can also include automatically coordinating, by the computing device, an audio/video conference session between the computing device and the computing system using the unique identifier.
Device for checking access authorizations stored on data carriers
A device for checking access authorizations stored on data carriers is provided, having a reading unit, arranged in the access region, for the data carrier, said reading unit actuating a signaling means and/or a blocking means, wherein the reading unit includes a housing having an insertion region for the data carrier and the insertion region having an upper first wall with a reading module sensing the insertion region, a lower second wall of the insertion region be fastened detachably and/or pivotably to the housing, that the reading unit can be changed from a first state to a second state in a predefinable manner by pivoting and/or removing the lower second wall, wherein in the first state of the reading unit, the second wall, together with the first wall, forms a U- or V-shaped insertion region and in the second state, the insertion region is L-shaped and open towards the bottom.
INDUSTRIAL DIGITAL BARCODE SCANNER
A barcode scanner assembly for capturing at least one object appearing in a field of view (FOV) is provided that includes a scanner enclosure including a scanner enclosure body, a printed circuit board (PCB) at least partially disposed within the scanner enclosure, an imaging assembly coupled to the PCB, and a decode assembly positioned on the PCB. The scanner enclosure body has a top portion, a bottom portion opposite the top portion, a front portion, and a rear portion opposite the front portion and further defines an internal cavity. The PCB is positioned substantially parallel to an outbound imaging axis.
Optical information reading apparatus and optical information reading method
An optical code reading process and a reading stability determining process are performed while suppressing an increase in the cost of a transfer system and avoiding a decrease in work efficiency. CCD performs imaging. Processor reads a one-dimensional code contained in image data taken by CCD, and outputs a signal when a reading process in which the number of reading successes related to the one-dimensional code reaches a determination reference value is completed. In addition, processor determines reading stability during a period from the first reading success to completion of the reading process and outputs predictive maintenance information (PMI) representing a determination result of reading stability.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR IDENTIFYING PASSIVE OPTICAL IDENTIFIER TAGS
One or more systems and methods for identifying one or more passive optical identifier tag from a plurality of passive optical identifier tags is provided. The method includes emitting light from a light source device. Further, the method includes transmitting, by said plurality of passive optical identifier tags, reflected light to a receiver. The method further includes reflecting, by the plurality of passive optical identifier tags, the emitted light with its unique set of wavelengths, said set of wavelengths being inferred by the corresponding reflection sequence.
Recording tape cartridge, barcode reading system, and barcode reading method
A recording tape cartridge includes a case configured by first and second halves being joined to each other first and second peripheral walls are butted against each other and stores a reel, a label surface formed of a first half label surface of the first peripheral wall and a second half label surface of the second peripheral wall on a side opposite to a loading direction of the case to a drive device and that allows a barcode label with a one-dimensional or two-dimensional barcode to be attached thereto, and a reference surface formed on a bottom plate and is used for positioning the case in a thickness direction in a case of being loaded into the drive device. The first or second half label surface is inclined at one degree or more with respect to a vertical plane perpendicular to the reference surface in a side view.
Light Projected Feedback for Guiding Hand Movements
A hand-held barcode reader has a decoding module that analyzes barcodes on a surface. The decoding module determines a displacement based on a current position of the hand-held barcode reader and a desired new position of the hand-held barcode reader with respect to a barcode on the surface. An LED of the hand-held barcode reader produces a first-colored light-spot at a position on the surface to direct a desired movement of the hand-held barcode reader to move from the current position to the desired new position.
System and Method for Mobile Recycling Validation
A mobile recycling validation system including a mobile recycling application operating on a user's mobile device, at least one server remote from the mobile device, where the mobile recycling application may receive image data relating to an image captured with a camera of the mobile device, identify a unique code printed on a recyclable item depicted in the image, determine unique code data relating to the unique code, determine recycling deposit confirmation data, and send the unique code data and the recycling deposit confirmation data to the server. The server may receive the unique code data and the recycling deposit confirmation data, determine if the unique code is valid, determine if the recycling deposit confirmation data indicates that the recyclable item has been deposited in the recycling stream, and send validation data to the mobile recycling application, which may credit an account of the user with an incentive credit.
SCAN CUBE CHARACTERISTICS
A barcode reader is provided. The barcode reader comprises an imaging assembly having a field of view (FOV) extending along one or more horizontal planes and a housing of the imaging assembly, the housing being a cuboid shape having six sides.
