APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR INSPECTING OBJECTS AND STRUCTURES WITH LARGE SURFACES
Continuous, multiple-point surveying or measurement is performed on large areas or objects. The results may be coordinated or combined with 3D localization systems or methods employing GPS, manual theodolites, range finders, laser radars or pseudolites. One disclosed example describes the use of the invention as applied to the problem of routine and repeated inspection of large aircraft, though the system and method are equally applicable to other objects with large surfaces including ships, bridges and large storage structures like tanks, buildings, and roadways.
SCAN BASED PACKAGING CONTROLLER
A method may include receiving, from a scanning device, a first scan of a first identifier of a first slot within a package unit or a first item to be disposed within the package unit. A correct item to be disposed within the first slot having the first identifier or a correct slot for receiving the first item having the first identifier may be determined based on the first identifier and a packing order associated with the package unit. A user interface may be generated to display an indication of the correct item to be disposed within the first slot having the first identifier or the correct slot for receiving the first item having the first identifier. Whether the correct item is disposed within the first slot or the first item is dispose within the correct slot may be determined based on a third scan of a third identifier.
Method and apparatus for a payment network
The present system is a payment network that implements an ecosystem in which banks can issue financial products (e.g. credit cards, debit cards, and the like) and customers are able to pay in any commerce without the need for card association networks. The streamlined nature of the system allows interchange fees to be substantially reduced over current systems. In addition, the system is all digital, so that physical security features are not required. The system provides an application for a customer that can be used on a mobile phone or other computing device, downloadable point-of-sale (POS) applications that can be used for commerce, and a web based POS application for commerce. The customer application includes a marketplace and an e-wallet in one embodiment. The customer can use the marketplace to acquire and link financial products produced by the banks with the customer's e-wallet.
Modular off-platter detection assembly for use with barcode readers
A modular off-platter detection assembly for use with a barcode reader includes a housing, a first light source, a first light sensor, and a controller operatively coupled to the first light source and the first light sensor. The housing is configured to be removably mounted to the barcode reader, a frame supporting the barcode reader, or the workstation. The first light source is positioned within the housing and emits a first light along a first lateral edge of a weigh platter. The first light sensor is positioned within the housing, has a first field-of-view along the first lateral edge, and is configured to detect at least a portion of the first light reflected towards the housing. The controller is configured to provide a first alert in response to receipt of a first value from the first light sensor indicating there is an object extending across the first lateral edge.
Methods, systems, and apparatuses implementing a seamless multi-function in-vehicle pairing algorithm using a QR code
In various embodiments, methods, systems, and vehicle apparatuses are provided. A method to selectively pair an in-vehicle display to a mobile device used by a passenger with an in-vehicle display system when seated in the vehicle, including receiving, by a processor of a vehicle, notification via a rideshare app of a request for a ride to a destination; in response, to the passenger entering the vehicle, initiating a pairing operation of a system of the vehicle with a passenger's mobile device based on the capture by the passenger using the passenger's mobile device of a QR code displayed in the vehicle; displaying a QR code for capture by the passenger's mobile device in the vehicle and initiating a wireless connection with the passenger's mobile device wherein the wireless connection is a secure connection based on an identification of the passenger and passenger location in the vehicle based on the QR code.
Multiplication-free approximation for neural networks and sparse coding
Systems, apparatuses and methods may provide for replacing floating point matrix multiplication operations with an approximation algorithm or computation in applications that involve sparse codes and neural networks. The system may replace floating point matrix multiplication operations in sparse code applications and neural network applications with an approximation computation that applies an equivalent number of addition and/or subtraction operations.
Medicine dispenser
A medicine dispenser, including a medicine prescription reader, for reading a medicine prescription including two due times, trays, each for containing medicine doses of one type only, and a robot, for dispensing medicine doses from at the trays to two cells of box according to the reading of the medicine prescription reader, thereby dedicating each of the cells to one of the due times.
Barcode reader with transflective mirror
Barcode readers with transflective mirrors are disclosed herein. An example barcode reader includes a housing and a window positioned within the housing, an imaging sensor and an illumination source positioned within the housing, and a transflective mirror positioned within the housing. The field-of-view of the imaging sensor is directed through the window along a first central axis of the field-of-view of the imaging sensor and the illumination pattern from the illumination source is directed through the window along a second central axis of the illumination pattern that is substantially parallel to the first central axis of the field-of-view of the imaging sensor.
Methods and arrangements for optical code classification
An optical code reader classifies a code depicted in input imagery, so that appropriate decoding actions can be invoked. This classification may identify, e.g., (a) whether the code is of a continuous tone or sparse mark variety, (b) which one of different reference signals it includes, and (c) which one of different protocols is used in expressing reference and payload signal components of the code. A great variety of other features and technologies are detailed as well.
CONTROLLING OUTPUT OF ELECTRONIC LABELS FROM A CAMERA
A system (300) and a related method (100) for controlling an optical output of at least one electronic label in a retail environment is provided. The system comprises a camera (310) comprising a transmitter for transmitting a control signal (380, 381) and an electronic label (320) comprising a receiver (325) for receiving the control signal and wherein the electronic label is adapted to change its optical output in response to the control signal, the electronic label is arranged within the field of view of the camera. The camera is adapted to receive an identifier of the electronic label and transmit a control signal comprising the identifier and wherein the electronic label is adapted to receive the control signal comprising the identifier and change its optical output based on that the identifier comprised in the control signal matches an identifier of the electronic label.
