The image forming apparatus includes one or more controllers configured to function as (i) a unit configured to acquire, from the base station, information that the base station acquires by wirelessly communicating with the plurality of accessory apparatuses, and (ii) a unit configured to output screen information for registering information about an arrangement order of the plurality of accessory apparatuses, based on the information acquired from the base station.

An image forming system displays warning information representing a state of no printing sheet detected in a first sheet holding unit, and displays information representing a normal state of no sheet printing sheet detected in the second sheet holding unit. A color management system for a printing system includes a color management service that controls quality control operations, such as calibration and quality checks, over a plurality of printing devices. The color management service generates a target print job having a quality control target made of color patches. The color management service also encodes metadata within the target print job using a control strip. The control strip encodes the metadata using different color patches and color intensities. The control strip is scanned at the printing device to decode the metadata and enable a user interface to complete the quality control operation.

A printer includes: a printing section; a transport belt that transports a print medium; a camera that detects both end portions in an intersecting direction that intersects a transport direction of the print medium among end portions of the print medium placed on the transport belt; and a control section that causes the printing section to execute printing based on print data while one end portion of the both end portions detected by the camera is set as a print start position and a distance from the one end portion to the other end portion is set as a width of the print medium.

An information processing apparatus connected to a printing apparatus includes a storage configured to store user print settings, common print settings, and restrictive information restricting changes to print settings; a display configured to display print settings; and a controller including a processor and configured to acquire the user print settings, the restrictive information, and the common print settings. If there is a setting item restricted by the restrictive information, the controller causes a setting value in the common print settings to be reflected in a setting value for the restricted setting item of the user print settings, and causes the display to display the resulting user print settings, with entry for the restricted setting item being restricted.

The method involves capturing one or more three-dimensional (3-D) images of one or more objects, transmitting the captured one or more 3D images to a printing device, converting the transmitted one or more 3D images into a predefined format; wherein the predefined format is a format read by the printing device.
