A non-transitory computer-readable medium having a communication relaying program which, when executed by a computer of an information processing apparatus, causes the information processing apparatus to perform operations including: generating a communication path unique for an image processing apparatus; generating selection screen information for displaying a screen for receiving selection of identification information of the image processing apparatus, the selection screen information being configured to, in response to selection of the identification information, allow a client application to transmit a processing request with designating the communication path for the image processing apparatus identified by the selected identification information; transmitting the selection screen information to the client application; receiving the processing request from the client application; and transmitting the processing request to the image processing apparatus corresponding to the communication path designated by the processing request.

The present invention obtains image data representing an image laid out on a page, and sets, in the image, a target region on which to perform predetermined processing to change a pixel count, based on layout information pertaining to a layout of the image on the page. Based on this setting, the predetermined processing is performed on the target region in the image.

A method and system of configuring a network using a network application of a mobile device including detecting a gesture sequence that comprises at least one gesture, in response to a user performed action. The detected gesture sequence may be indicative of network configuration rules associated with at least one network device. The method may further include receiving and storing network access credentials, and accessing a network configuration database. The network configuration database may comprise a plurality of gesture sequences and a plurality of associated tasks. The method may also include determining a match for the detected gesture sequence among the plurality of gesture sequences; determining an associated task based on the match; and performing the associated task to achieve the network configuration action. The associated task may include a network configuration action based on the network configuration rules associated with at least one network device.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium stores computer-readable instructions executable by a processor of an information processing device that includes a user interface and a display. The instructions are configured to, when executed by the processor, cause the information processing device to accept, via the user interface, an operation to specify a rearrangement condition for a plurality of pieces of image data to be obtained, obtain image data of a single sheet, determine an arrangement order for arranging first image data and second image data in accordance with the rearrangement condition specified by the accepted operation, the first image data being image data of one or more sheets obtained earlier than the second image data, the second image data being the image data of the single sheet, and display, on the display, images contained in the first image data and the second image data, to be arranged in the determined arrangement order.

A business method includes imaging documents with an imaging device placed at a location. The imaging device receives imaging requests from users upon payment. Unique lighting schemes notify users of their imaging requests. Payment is split between an entity owning or renting the imaging device and an entity where the imaging device is located. Over a cellular network, toner usage is monitored in the imaging device. Upon the toner level reaching a predetermined low, the entire imaging device is collected from the location and swapped with another imaging device having a toner lever above the low. Workers in the “gig” economy are expected to collect and swap the devices. No longer do users change or swap empty toner cartridges with full or fresh toner cartridges. Similarly, media usage in the imaging device is monitored over the cellular network for replacement of media. Other embodiments are envisioned.

A color management system for a printing system includes a color management service that controls quality control operations, such as calibration and quality checks, over a plurality of printing devices. The color management service generates a target print job having a quality control target made of color patches. The color management service also encodes metadata within the target print job using a control strip. The control strip encodes the metadata using different color patches and color intensities. The control strip is scanned at the printing device to decode the metadata and enable a user interface to complete the quality control operation.

A system includes a server and a printing apparatus. The server manages a first printing content and a second printing content as a predetermined printing target. When an instruction user issues a speech instruction for printing the predetermined printing target to an audio control device as an n-th speech print instruction, the server selects the first printing content associated with the predetermined printing target.

In accordance with a user operation, an apparatus obtains one or more designated positions on an image, the one or more designated positions being one or more positions at which each of one or more designated colors designated for printing of the image is to be printed. The apparatus generates a printing file for causing a printer to print a patch of each of the one or more designated colors on a sheet at a position corresponding to each of the one or more designated positions for the designated color. The apparatus performs color verification based on a colorimetry value on the sheet having the patch printed thereon at the position corresponding to each of the one or more designated positions and a target value for the designated color corresponding to the designated position.

In an example, a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium encoded with instructions that, when executed by a processor of a computing device, may cause the processor to transmit an email message addressed to an email address associated with an image forming apparatus. Example email message may include content to be printed. Further, instructions may cause the processor to receive a confirmation email message from an email print server in response to the transmission of the email message. Example confirmation email message may include a status update mechanism. Furthermore, instructions may cause the processor to execute the status update mechanism. Example status update mechanism may fetch a print job status indicating a progress of printing the content from the email print server and display the fetched print job status in the confirmation email message.
