A simulation device includes: a simulator simulating an information processing device; a virtual execution controller executing a job identical to a job executed by the information processing device, while a parameter different from a parameter set in the information processing device, is set in a virtual device in which the simulator simulates the information processing device, by controlling the simulator, when the information processing device is out of a preset admissibility condition; a parameter determinator determining the parameter set in the virtual device, as a change parameter, when the virtual device while the virtual device executes the job, satisfies the admissibility condition; and a setter controlling the information processing device such that the determined change parameter is set in the information processing device, when an environment of the information processing device becomes identical to an environment when the information processing device is out of the admissibility condition.

A printer includes a printing mechanism, a display device, a print controller configured to control the printing mechanism to print an image on a print medium, and a display controller configured to make the display device display a preview image in which the image to be printed on the print medium and a processing position where processing is performed on the print medium after the printing are superimposed with each other.

A method for processing a print job on a document processing system including a plurality of devices which includes at least one printer and at least one finisher in order to deliver an end print product according to print specifications of the print job. Each device is described in a dedicated device model including constraints and capabilities of the device. The method includes receiving a print job with print specifications, generating a production route for the end product by selecting at least one printer and at least one finisher to deliver the end product, simulating the production route for the end product by executing the device models for the selected devices, generating finishing instructions for the at least one finisher, and processing the print job by printing the end product by the at least one printer and by finishing the end product by the at least one finisher according to the generated finishing instructions.

A control method for an information processing apparatus that displays an edit screen of print data for printing a predetermined page, comprising: displaying, on the edit screen, a print region that includes a binding position indicating a position at which binding is performed using a binding material in the predetermined page and indicates a printable region in the predetermined page; receiving designation of a layout position of an image in the predetermined page; and making a notification if the designation is received so that the image is laid out in a predetermined region including at least a partial region in the print region between the binding position and a side of the print region on a side of the binding position, wherein a printing apparatus executes printing based on the print data edited in the edit screen.

A display apparatus includes a display screen; a display control unit configured to display content on the display screen of the display apparatus; and a detection unit configured to detect approach or contact between a wireless device and the display apparatus. The display control unit performs predetermined display on a basis of information acquired via wireless communication from the wireless device in a case where the approach or contact between the wireless device and the display screen is detected by the detection unit while predetermined content is displayed on the display screen, and does not perform the predetermined display in a case where the approach or contact between the wireless device and the display apparatus is detected by the detection unit while predetermined content is not displayed on the display screen.

Systems and methods for providing remote approval of an image for printing are provided. One system includes a processing circuit in communication with an image capturing device that is configured to capture an image of a printed product. The processing circuit is configured to process the captured image into a processed image accurate to within a tolerance in a color space to indicate the visual appearance of one or more colors. The color space is a standardized color space, such as sRGB or CIELAB. The processing circuit is further configured to transmit the processed image to a display located remote from the image capturing device and to receive an input signal from a remote input device to allow a user to approve or reject the displayed processed image for printing on a print device.

An image forming apparatus includes a code number generator that generates, when an operation reception unit receives user's designation of a number of tickets to be issued, a code key, and an encryption method, an encrypted code number for each of the designated number of tickets, with respect to each ticket number sequentially allocated to the designated number of tickets, using the designated code key and encryption method, a distinction image generator that generates, for each tickets, a distinction image containing the code number generated for each of the ticket, and a controller that adds, in each of the designated number of tickets, the distinction image of each of the tickets generated by the distinction image generator, to image data of an original of the ticket read by a document reading unit, and causes a printing unit to print each of the designated number of tickets.

An image forming apparatus includes a code number generator that generates, when an operation reception unit receives user's designation of a number of tickets to be issued, a code key, and an encryption method, an encrypted code number for each of the designated number of tickets, with respect to each ticket number sequentially allocated to the designated number of tickets, using the designated code key and encryption method, a distinction image generator that generates, for each tickets, a distinction image containing the code number generated for each of the ticket, and a controller that adds, in each of the designated number of tickets, the distinction image of each of the tickets generated by the distinction image generator, to image data of an original of the ticket read by a document reading unit, and causes a printing unit to print each of the designated number of tickets.

A printing apparatus includes a printing unit configured to perform printing on a recording target, a projection unit configured to project a printing sample image onto the recording target, a detection unit configured to detect a user operation within a projection area into which the projection unit is configured to perform projection, and a control unit configured to control the printing unit based on a printing condition, wherein the control unit changes the printing condition, based on the user operation that is detected by the detection unit.
