Method for connecting an item of dishware to an information carrier and apparatus comprising an item of dishware and an information carrier
According to the invention there is provided a method of connecting a crockery item to a contactless readable electronic information carrier comprising the steps: providing the crockery item, the crockery item comprising a material selected from a group consisting of glass, ceramic and plastic or a combination thereof, applying a carrier layer to a surface of the crockery item, applying the information carrier to a surface of the carrier layer, that is remote from the surface of the crockery item, wherein a base surface of the information carrier is smaller than a surface of the carrier layer, and applying a cover layer of printing ink in such a way that the cover layer at least portion-wise covers a surface of the information carrier, that is remote from the carrier layer, and the surface of the carrier layer, wherein the carrier layer includes a plastically deformable material, wherein application of the information carrier to the carrier layer includes impressing the information carrier into the carrier layer.
Correlating asset identifiers
Systems, methods, and computer-readable media provide automated identification techniques that associate at least two unique identifiers of one segment of a segmental multimode wireless flexible product to seamlessly and accurately bridge different identification methodologies to enable advanced real-time tracking of shipment location and status, and other such useful and advanced product and service offerings.
PRINTED MATERIAL, IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, AND DATA ACQUISITION DEVICE
A printed material, an image forming apparatus, and a data acquisition device. The printed material includes a printed confidential information image visible under a special condition, and an information image having information on a position of the confidential information image. The image forming apparatus includes an image forming device configured to form an image on a recording medium to form the printed material. The data acquisition device includes circuitry, and the circuitry is configured to acquire confidential information from the confidential information image on the printed, specify the position of the confidential information image from the information image, and display position information of the confidential information image.
Credit Card Authenticator Transceiver Apparatus
A credit card authenticator transceiver apparatus for wirelessly and securely sending funds includes a card body. A magnet strip is coupled to a back side of the card body proximal a top edge. A CPU is coupled within the card body. A battery is coupled within the card body and is in operational communication with the CPU. An auxiliary chip is coupled to a front side of the card body adjacent a left edge. The auxiliary chip is in operational communication with the CPU. A camera is coupled to the card body and extends through the front side. The camera is in operational communication with the CPU. A solar cell strip is coupled to the front side of the card body and is in operational communication with the CPU. A transceiver is coupled within the card body and is in operational communication with the CPU.
Barcode Booklet
A booklet may include multiple customized booklet pages. The booklet pages may include including a barcode page that may include multiple barcode labels that can be selectably disposed on physical media items. The booklet pages may include pages with instructions, upgrade labels, shipping labels, or other information. The booklet pages may be customized to a customer digitization order. A system with a barcode scanner, physical media item converter, and a computing device may scan the barcode labels of the physical media items, read the content stored on the physical media items, convert the content to a digital format, and associate the digitally formatted content with the corresponding barcode label. The system may allow a customer to access the content in the digital format, such as a DVD, digital download, or a thumb drive.
Method For Estimating A Quantity Of A Blood Component In A Fluid Receiver And Corresponding Error
A method and system for communicating estimated blood loss parameters of a patient to a user, the method comprising: receiving data representative of an image, of a fluid receiver; automatically detecting a region within the image associated with a volume of fluid received at the fluid receiver, the volume of fluid including a blood component; calculating an estimated amount of the blood component present in the volume of fluid based upon a color parameter represented in the region, and determining a bias error associated with the estimated amount of the blood component; updating an analysis of an aggregate amount of the blood component and an aggregate bias error associated with blood loss of the patient, based upon the estimated amount of the blood component and the bias error; and providing information from the analysis of the aggregate amount of the blood component and the aggregate bias error, to the user.
Systems and Methods to Prevent Counterfeiting
System and method for using one or more entropically configured distinct physical features (a “IDENTROPY”) for establishing trust, accountability, and transparency with respect to physical items are disclosed. Such system and method are useful, among other things, for detecting counterfeit physical items.
Cards with serial magnetic emulators
A card is provided, such as a credit card or security card, that may transmit information to a magnetic stripe reader via a magnetic emulator. The emulator may transmit the information serially in order to reduce the amount of circuitry needed to emulate a particular block of information. Additionally, for example, a serial encoder may send any amount of information through a single emulation segment. Such a magnetic emulator may be provided on a credit card. A dynamic credit card number may be provided by, for example, coding a number with a different coding scheme for different periods of time. The magnetic emulator may be utilized to transmit a particular coded number for a particular period of time. In this manner, a dynamic credit card number may be provided such that to help secure, and progress, a payment transaction.
Cards and devices with multifunction magnetic emulators and methods for using same
A payment card (e.g., credit and/or debit card) is provided with a magnetic emulator operable of communicating information to a magnetic stripe reader. Information used in validating a financial transaction is encrypted based on time such that a validating server requires receipt of the appropriate encrypted information for a period of time to validate a transaction for that period of time. Such dynamic information may be communicated using such an emulator such that a card may be swiped through a magnetic stripe reader—yet communicate different information based on time. An emulator may receive information as well as communicate information to a variety of receivers (e.g., an RFID receiver).
COMPUTER-IMPLEMENTED SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR OBJECT TRACKING VIA IDENTIFIER-TRACKER PAIRINGS
A computer-implemented system and method for object tracking via identifier-tracker pairings is provided. At least one tracker-identifier pair is maintained. The tracker is associated with an entity, including a person or object. The identifier is accessed to locate the entity. The tracker associated with the identifier is identified and a location of the entity is determined based on a location of the tracker. The location of the entity is provided to the user.
