Dose indicators
The present disclosure relates to a dose indicator for a pressure-actuated metered dose inhaler (pMDI) device. In an embodiment, the dose indicator comprises a chassis element having a viewing portion, a display element located within the chassis element, a resilient deformable element, and an indexing element having an axis, translation of the indexing element along its axis from a first position to a second position causing deformation of the resilient deformable element in the same direction as translation of the indexing element resulting in generally greater displacement of portions of the resilient deformable element nearer to the axis relative to portions thereof further from the axis, the displacement of the portions of the resilient deformable element in the same direction as translation of the indexing element inducing indexing of the display element from a current position to a subsequent position relative to the viewing portion of the chassis element.
PLUG COUNT LIMITER FOR CABLES
A cable connector for counting a number of plug-in events and preventing further plug in attempts after a threshold number of plug-in events have occurred. An inner sleeve is located inside an outer sleeve, and is designed to move relative to the outer sleeve. The inner sleeve further includes a tab on an outer surface of the inner sleeve. A gear wheel is located inside the outer sleeve and perpendicular to the inner sleeve and has a number of gear teeth. A toggle plug counter rotates the gear wheel one tooth in response to a plug-in action of the cable counter. When the gear wheel rotates to a point where the tab aligns with a notch in the gear wheel an inner spring at the opposite end of the inner sleeve causes the inner sleeve to move through the gear wheel such that further plugging action becomes difficult.
Cycle counter mechanism for use in an autoclave oven
A cycle counter mechanism is provided for monitoring the service life of layup molds, such as a mold used for the manufacturing of parts in an autoclave oven. A body that is suitable for use in the autoclave oven is located on the mold. At least one rod is located on the body which elongates and contracts due to heat. At least one gear is located on the body so as to rotate about its own axis and which extends when the heat in the autoclave oven increases to trigger the gear. A gear is triggered by the rod to rotate about its own axis. A counter is triggered with the rotational movement of the gear and provides information about the number of uses of the mold depending on the rotational movement.
Event status apparatuses and related devices, systems, and methods
Provided herein are new devices for indicating the status of events, such as the number of relevant events that are remaining and/or that have already occurred up to the present moment and to related devices, systems, and methods. In some aspects, the event-related indicator devices of the invention are used within larger dispensing devices or systems, e.g., to provide the status of administration of a substance contained therein (e.g., a drug). In an exemplary embodiment, the indicator devices find particular utility within medicament dispensers, such as metered dose inhalers, to provide a visual indication of the status of doses having been or remaining to be administered.
Counter
A counter containing a first ring member having first indicia and a second ring member having second indicia, each of the first and second ring members being rotatable in increments about a common axis, one or both of the first and second indicia indicating a count; and a drive mechanism for rotating the first ring member and for rotating the second ring member after one or more predetermined degrees of rotation of the first ring member, wherein the drive mechanism contains a pawl-and-teeth mechanism which contains a first and second pawl engageable with a plurality of teeth, and wherein each of the first and second pawls contains a driving engagement face for engaging in a driving engagement with one of the plurality of teeth, and a sliding engagement face for sliding over one of the plurality of teeth.
Molded part made of a synthetic material
A molded part that is made of synthetic material and that has a rigid frame and at least one movable portion that is movable and/or deformable relative to the rigid frame. The at least one movable portion is connected, during molding, to the rigid frame via at least one breakable bridge of material. The at least one breakable bridge of material is broken while the molded part is being assembled, or while the molded part is being used for the first time.
FLUID PRODUCT DISPENSER
A fluid dispenser comprising a body (1), a fluid reservoir (2), a dispenser member, such as a pump or a valve, mounted on said reservoir (2), and a dose indicator device for indicating the number of doses of fluid that have been dispensed or that remain to be dispensed from said reservoir, the dispenser being characterized in that said dose indicator device includes a first safety system for actuating the dose indicator device once the dispenser has performed a predetermined incomplete actuation stroke, even if the dispenser does not perform the complete actuation stroke.
Substance source
A source of gaseous, gas borne or droplet substance having: an inner pressurized container (1), a substance-release valve (2) device sealed across an end of the container (1), a spout (4) displaceable inwards of the container (1) against a spring of the valve (2) device for substance release; the source also includes: an outer enclosure enclosing the inner container along its length (12), at least partially its end (14) remote from the spout (4) and partially at its spout end (19), the outer enclosure and the inner container (1) being arranged to react force for displacement of the spout (4) on substance release; a counter (20) accommodated within the outer enclosure for counting substance release displacements of the spout (4); and a window (22) in the outer enclosure for viewing the count of the counter (20).
ASSEMBLY FOR A COUNTER MECHANISM FOR A DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE AND DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE
An assembly for a counter mechanism for a drug delivery device is described comprising a drive member, wherein the drive member is adapted and arranged to be rotated in a first rotational direction and to be prevented from rotation in a second rotational direction which direction is opposite to the first rotational direction, an advancing member adapted and arranged to be axially moved and rotated with respect to the drive member, wherein the advancing member is adapted and arranged to mechanically cooperate with the drive member such that the drive member is rotated in the first rotational direction, and a display member which is configured to count a number of doses and to display the counted number of doses, wherein the assembly is adapted and arranged such that rotation of the drive member in the first rotational direction is converted into a counting movement of the display member. Furthermore, a drug delivery device comprising the assembly is described.
Apparatus for dispensing liquid soap
A hybrid dispenser incorporating structural elements providing the ability to alternatively dispense soap or other liquid from a container either by an electric motor or manually. The hybrid dispenser includes an electric motor and a valve actuator mechanism having an elongate pivotable actuator member for operating a dispensing valve structure. A manually operable member is pivotably mounted relative to the cabinet such that the electric motor and the manually operable member selectively independently cooperate with generally opposite ends of the elongate pivotable member to cause the dispensing valve structure to dispense liquid from a container supported by the dispenser.
