SYSTEM FOR PREPARING A BEVERAGE FROM A CAPSULE USING A FLUID SUPPLIED UNDER PRESSURE INTO THE CAPSULE AND A CAPSULE FOR USE IN SUCH A SYSTEM
The invention relates to a system for preparing a beverage from a capsule using a fluid supplied under pressure into the capsule comprising a beverage preparation device having an enclosing member with an annular element having a free contact end and a capsule containing a substance for the preparation of a beverage. The capsule comprises a sealing member having the shape of a step. i.e. a sudden increase of the diameter of a side wall of the capsule. The sealing member comprises a floor portion extending over an engagement distance and a side wall portion extending in a direction away from the floor portion. The engagement distance of the floor portion is such that the floor portion engages the free contact end of the annular element over its breadth if the capsule is positioned in the enclosing member of the beverage preparation device and the enclosing member is moved relative towards a capsule holder of the beverage preparation device. The floor portion is arranged to be plastically drawn over the free contact end of the annular element if the enclosing member of the beverage preparation device is closed by means of the capsule holder of the beverage preparation device. The invention also relates to a capsule for use in such a system.
PAD WITH A RELATIVELY LARGE OUTLET OPENING COMPRISING A SOLUBLE BEVERAGE PREPARATION PRODUCT FOR USE IN A COFFEE MACHINE
Pad including a covering filled with a soluble beverage preparation product. The covering comprises a flexible first sheet and a rigid shell which are connected to each other. The shell has at least one outlet opening. The pad is further equipped with a flexible second sheet that is positioned on a bottom of the shell located between the product and the shell. The first sheet and the second sheet each form a filter that allows an aqueous fluid, including water, and the beverage to pass and that forms a barrier for the product. The at least one outlet opening preferably has a diameter of a sufficient size for passing beverage substantially unrestricted.
Container for containing a beverage base material, a beverage preparation system including an automatic beverage preparation apparatus and such a container, an automatic beverage preparation apparatus for use in such a beverage preparation system and a method of preparing a beverage using such a beverage preparation system
A container contains a beverage base material in a beverage base material chamber defined by a chamber bottom and a chamber wall. The container furthermore comprises an elongated handle extending in a direction having a radial component outward from the chamber. The handle is provided with an outlet channel extending from the chamber to a channel outlet provided at the free end of the handle. A beverage preparation system for preparing a beverage includes an automatic beverage preparation apparatus and such a container and is arranged for removably connecting the container to the apparatus such that the handle is positioned vertically with the channel outlet pointing downwards. A method of preparing a beverage using such a beverage preparation system in which the container is connected to the apparatus such that the handle is positioned vertically with the channel outlet pointing downwards for dispensing a beverage from the beverage base material chamber substantially vertically.
REUSABLE FILTER CARTRIDGE
A beverage brewing device is configured for use with a beverage brewer having an inlet probe for dispensing water and an outlet probe positioned in a holster defining ridges along a sidewall thereof. The beverage brewing device includes a sidewall defining grooves sized and positioned to receive the ridges, the sidewall being conical in shape. A bottom wall extends across a bottom of the sidewall and one or both of the bottom wall and the sidewall define openings covered with filter material. Outlet probe receptacles positioned to receive the outlet probe extend upwardly from the bottom wall.
Capsules and other containers with optimized recycling attributes and methods for making same
A capsule or container is provided having optimized recycling attributes. The capsule is provided for use in a machine for preparing a consumable product from capsules. The capsule includes a body that defines an interior space with an opening. A cover is disposed over the opening. A filter is disposed in the interior space to define a chamber between the filter and the cover. The body, filter and cover are preferably formed of the same substantially pure polymer material. Ingredients are disposed in the interior space for preparing a desired product. A hinge is provided to tether the cover to the body. The cover is attached with a peelable seal to the body so that cover may be peeled away from the body while remaining tethered at the hinge.
Capsules and other containers with optimized recycling attributes and methods for making same
A process is provided for making a beverage capsule for use in a beverage preparing machine. The process includes the steps of: sealing a filter to an interior surface of a body for the beverage capsule to define an ingredients chamber; depositing a desired volume of desired ingredients into the ingredients chamber; and sealing a cover to the body to cover the opening. The cover is sealed to the body to define a hinge zone and a peel zone, wherein the hinge zone has a stronger seal than the peel zone.
Alcohol Infused Coffee Pod Assembly
An alcohol infused coffee pod assembly for brewing a single cup of coffee with a pre-determined amount of alcohol includes a brewing cup which has an outer wall that is tapered between a top end and a bottom end of the brewing cup. In this way the brewing cup can be compatible with a single cup coffee brewing machine. A plurality of coffee grounds is contained within the brewing cup. In this way the coffee grounds are exposed to heated water for brewing coffee. An alcohol solution is infused into the plurality of coffee grounds thereby facilitating the alcohol solution to be released into the heated water for brewing coffee.
Pad for use in a coffee maker
A pad, for use in a coffee-maker for preparing 1 or 2 cups of beverage, includes an envelope with an inner space which is filled with a beverage preparation product for preparing the beverage. The beverage preparation product comprises a product to be extracted with a fluid (and/or a product soluble in a fluid). The envelope is formed by a first disc-shaped sheet and a second disc-shaped sheet which are interconnected adjacent their longitudinal edges. The interconnected parts of the first sheet and the second sheet form a sealing seam wherein the first sheet and the second sheet each form a filter which can pass a fluid and which forms a barrier to the product to be extracted. The second sheet is of form-retaining design. In use with the coffee-maker, a fluid such as water is supplied under pressure to the pad so that the fluid is pressed through the pad for obtaining a beverage which thereupon leaves the pad.
CAPSULE COFFEE MACHINE
The present invention relates to the technical field of coffee machines, and particularly relates to a capsule coffee machine comprising a brewing assembly and a nozzle connected to the brewing assembly and used for guiding the coffee out; the inlet end of the nozzle is connected to an elastic pressurizing member used for increasing the pressure of the coffee entering the nozzle; the outlet end of the nozzle is connected to a foaming cavity used for foaming the coffee ejected into the foaming cavity through the nozzle; the nozzle is further provided with a liquid discharging passage.
