System and method for transmitting unlock codes based on event triggers
The disclosure generally relates to a system and method for randomly generating unlock codes and identifiers for locks, and creating unlock code and identifier pairs. In an exemplary embodiment, the invention is integrated with, or part of, a distributed management system that controls access to various locations, such as, for example, self-storage units, hotel rooms, apartment buildings, storage containers, short-term housing rentals, lockers, equipment rooms, vaults, hospitals, airports, government facilities, nuclear power facilities, water treatment facilities, weapon storage facilities, aircraft cockpits, and any other setting that requires restricted, selective, or monitored access that can be remotely controlled, whereby users can receive unlock codes electronically on their mobile device.
CREDENTIALED WIRELESS FOB TO CONTROL POWER TOOL DEVICES
An electronic processor of a wireless fob is configured to establish a first communication link between the wireless fob and an external device, and receive, over the first communication link, first identification information and credential information of a power tool device from the external device. The electronic processor is further configured to receive, via the wireless transceiver, an identification signal including second identification information from the power tool device. The electronic processor is further configured to identify the power tool device by determining that the first identification information matches with the second identification information. The electronic processor is further configured to transmit the credential information to the power tool device to establish a second communication link between the wireless fob and the power tool device and transmit, over the second communication link, a command to the power tool device to control an operation of the power tool device.
DEVICES, SYSTEMS, APPARATUSES, AND METHODS FOR SMART CAM LOCKS AND KEY LOCK BOXES
The present disclosure generally relates to providing electronic locking systems. Using novel designs and network technology, the present systems, methods, and apparatuses can provide a secure alternative to a cam lock or a lock box for storing items that may be left unattended, without the use of a physical key. For example, in certain embodiments, the present systems, methods, and apparatuses can facilitate the locking and unlocking of a cam lock or a lock box by using a digital construct, an encryption system, and various native and/or third-party software components.
Digital credentials for employee badging
A system for credential authentication comprises an interface configured to receive a create indication to create a badge credential representing an employee badge and receive a claim indication from an authentication device to claim the badge credential, and a processor configured to provide the badge credential to the authentication device in response to the claim indication, receive a proof response from the authentication device comprising the badge credential and a lock identifier, validate the proof response using a distributed ledger, and provide a token for unlocking a lock associated with the lock identifier to the authentication device.
Method for unlocking vehicle door using mobile terminal
The present invention provides a method for unlocking a vehicle door using a mobile terminal. The unlocking method comprises: authenticating, by a mobile key management server, a user and a smartphone of the user; authenticating, by the mobile key management server, a vehicle having a door to be unlocked using the authenticated smartphone; generating, by the mobile key management server, a mobile key issuance algorithm corresponding to the authenticated vehicle and smartphone; issuing, by the mobile key management server, a mobile key, using the generated mobile key issuance algorithm, in response to a request from the smartphone; receiving, at the mobile key management server, the issued mobile key via the smartphone and the vehicle; confirming, by the mobile key management server, whether the issued mobile key matches the received mobile key; and requesting, by the mobile key management server, the vehicle to unlock the door thereof, when the issued mobile key matches the received mobile key.
AN ELECTRONIC KEY
Electronic key for a motor vehicle having a containment casing, which houses:
at least one processing and/or control unit,
at least one memory unit where at least one recognition data is stored to control at least one function and/or system of a motor vehicle,
at least one transmitter and/or transceiver unit to communicate with at least one control unit which is mounted in/on said motor vehicle and which is configured to command, following the receipt of the recognition data, at least one functionality and/or system of the vehicle,
at least one receiver/transceiver which is connected to the processing and/or control unit and is configured to receive at least one command signal directly from the outside. The processing and/or control unit is configured so that, upon receipt of the command signal directly from the outside, intervenes on at least one of the components of the key itself
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, PROGRAM, AND INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEM
[Object] To provide an information processing apparatus, an information processing method, a program, and an information processing system, which are capable of enhancing safety of authentication when unlocking.
[Solution] Provided is an information processing apparatus including: a communication unit configured to receive an unlocking request and first information generated on the basis of a first secret key, from a first communication terminal; and a determination unit configured to determine whether or not to cause a locking unit to unlock, on the basis of a first public key corresponding to the first secret key and the generated first information.
MERCHANDISE DISPLAY SECURITY SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Merchandise security systems and methods are provided. In one example, a merchandise security system includes a plurality of electronic keys and a plurality of merchandise security devices located within a retail store. Each electronic key and each merchandise security device is configured to store one or more serial numbers. In addition, each electronic key is configured to be authorized for communication with one or more merchandise security devices within the retail store. An electronic key is configured to communicate with a merchandise security device for locking, unlocking, arming, and/or disarming the merchandise security device when the serial numbers match.
Method for operating a locking system, locking system, and tube safe
A method for operating a locking system comprising an electronic key and an electronic lock and a central unit which in locking operation is used locally separately from the electronic key and the electronic lock, wherein in the method an external authorization code is generated by the central unit by means of an authorization code determination program, the external authorization code is transferred to the electronic key and the external authorization code is saved in a memory by the electronic key, wherein, on interaction of the electronic key with the electronic lock, the external authorization code is read out from the memory by the electronic lock and is checked by a processor of the electronic lock in that, using an internal authorization code determination program, the processor itself determines an internal authorization code and compares it with the external authorization code received by the electronic key and wherein, in the event of the determined internal authorization code being identical to the transferred external authorization code, the processor permits an opening process.
Methods of operating a lock
A method of controlling a lock mechanism of an active door includes transiting an access controller of the lock mechanism to an authorized access mode and transitioning the access controller from the authorized access mode to an entry mode. Transitioning the access controller to the authorized access mode is in response to an authorized user being sensed approaching the active door from an exterior side of the active door or in response to input on a remote device. In the authorized access mode, an exterior handle of the active door is decoupled from a main latch of the lock mechanism. Transitioning the access controller to the entry mode is in response to sensed contact with the exterior handle. In the entry mode, the exterior handle is capable of rotating to transition the access controller to an unlocked mode in which the exterior handle is operably coupled to the main latch.
