Electromagnetic actuator
The invention provides a magnetic actuator (100, 1001, 1002) including at least two magnets. One magnet is a semi hard magnet (310) and the other magnet is a hard magnet (320). The hard magnet (320) is configured to open or close the magnetic actuator (100, 1001, 1002). The semi hard magnet (310) and the hard magnet (320) are placed adjacent to each other. A change in magnetization polarization of the semi hard magnet (310) is configured to push or pull the hard magnet (320) to open or close a digital lock realised with the magnetic actuator 100, 1001, 1002. The magnetic actuator of the invention can also be used to realise a valve.
Gesture based security system
An example security system includes a plurality of access control devices that each control access to a respective secured area. A mobile device includes a processor, an accelerometer, a wireless transceiver, and memory storing a credential. The processor is configured to receive an indication from the accelerometer, detect a user gesture based on the indication from the accelerometer indicating a predefined movement of the mobile device, determine a pathway based on the gesture that includes multiple ones of the secured areas, and utilize the wireless transceiver to automatically transmit the credential to the respective access control devices associated with each secured area of the pathway. An example method for a security system is also disclosed.
ELECTRONIC KEYS FOR ELECTRONIC LOCKS AND METHODS OF USING THE SAME
The present disclosure relates a set of electronic keys for an electronic lock. The set of electronic keys includes at least one passive electronic key having a passive digital key, and at least one active electronic key having an active digital key. Each of passive and active electronic keys includes a communication channel and an electronic key power supply port. The active electronic key includes electrical power source providing electrical power supply to the active electronic key itself, the electronic lock and the passive electronic key through the electronic lock to operate the electronic lock. When both active and passive electronic keys are inserted into respective electronic keyholes of the electronic lock, both active and passive digital keys are transmitted to the electronic lock, the electronic lock can be locked and unlocked only when both active and passive digital keys received match prestored active and passive digital keys respectively.
Lighted door jamb for an access door
An illumination system is provided for an access door may include an elongated illumination housing configured to be coupled to at least one of an upstanding jamb and a corresponding jamb casing extending along the one side of the access door, an elongated light transmissive cover coupled to the illumination housing, an elongated light pipe received within the illumination housing, an illumination source housing operatively coupled to one end of the light pipe, an illumination source disposed within the illumination source housing and configured to produce and transmit visible light into the light pipe so as to be visible through the light transmissive cover, a source of electrical power, and a control unit configured to selectively apply electrical power from the source of electrical power to the illumination source to produce the visible light.
Audio/video recording and communication doorbell devices including transistor assemblies, and associated systems and methods
An audio/video (A/V) recording and communication doorbell device includes a transistor assembly and control circuitry. The transistor assembly is electrically coupled between an input power bus that distributes alternating current (AC) input power and/or direct current (DC) input power, and an output power bus that provides a DC output power for the A/V recording and communication doorbell device. The control circuitry is configured to cause the transistor assembly to convert AC input power and/or DC input power from the input power bus to the DC output power into the output power bus, to provide the DC output power for the A/V recording and communication doorbell device.
SMART DEVICE CONTROL METHODS AND SYSTEMS
A smart device control method and system is provided. The smart device control method may include obtaining a control command, the control command being used for instructing the smart device to perform a target operation; determining whether the control command satisfies a preset condition; and in response to determining that the control command satisfies the preset condition, controlling the smart device to perform the target operation.
ELECTROMAGNETIC ACTUATOR
One or more embodiments describe a magnetic actuator including at least two magnets. One magnet is a semi hard magnet and the other magnet is a hard magnet. The hard magnet is configured to open or close the magnetic actuator. The semi hard magnet and the hard magnet are placed adjacent to each other. A change in magnetization polarization of the semi hard magnet is configured to push or pull the hard magnet) to open or close a digital lock realised with the magnetic actuator. The magnetic actuator can also be used to realise a valve.
METHOD FOR TRIGGERING A FIRST DEVICE AS STEP FOR ACCESSING AN ACCESSIBLE DEVICE
A method for triggering a first device, the first device having at least one antenna for wireless communication with a second device having at least one antenna, the first device being an access device, for example, a key fob or smart device, or an accessible device, for example a vehicle, the second device being the other one of the accessible device and the access device, and the triggering of the first device being a step required for accessing the accessible device.
Self-contained, safety-confirming jukebox chassis and enclosure
A wall-mountable jukebox and cover assembly in which a jukebox chassis is exposed by the cover in a display screen and in one or more payment receptors for pay-for-play payment collection devices. The jukebox chassis and cover are designed to enable the jukebox chassis to detachably slide-on to the cover. Various securing mechanisms and access mechanisms may be configured. The jukebox and cover assembly is configured for use in commercial venues and can be customized to each location.
INTEGRATED CARD READER
A door entry system for operating a door using a wireless transmitter device containing identification credentials of a user. The system includes a door operable by an uncoupling or releasing securing mechanism, a door controller capable of operating the uncoupling or releasing securing mechanism and a door handle for grasping by the user to operate the door, the handle having a cavity, the handle being secured to the door and spaced away from a surface thereof. The system includes a wireless device reader disposed in the handle cavity and a power source connected to the card reader. The wireless transmitter may be presented in the vicinity of the reader in the door handle and, upon verification of the credentials transmitted from the wireless transmitter device, the reader sends a signal to the door controller to uncouple or release the securing mechanism and permit the door to open.
