ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEM AND METHOD TO DISTINGUISH BETWEEN TAILGATE AND PIGGYBACK
20230196860 · 2023-06-22 ·

Access control system and method to distinguish between tailgate and piggyback. The method includes receiving, from a camera positioned at an access point, one or more images of a first person at the access point and determining based on credential information whether the first person is authorized to enter through the access point. In response to determining that the first person is authorized to enter through the access point, the method includes determining, based on a consent-to-follow gesture of the first person detected in the one or more images, a number of guests of the first person requested to enter through the access point. The method also includes determining, based on the one or more images, a number of persons entering through the access point and generating an alert indicating unauthorized entry when the number of persons is greater than the number of guests.

ULTRA-WIDE BAND RADAR FOR TAILGATING DETECTION IN ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEMS

A reader device of a physical access control system comprises an ultra-wide band (UWB) physical layer and processing circuitry. The processing circuitry is operatively coupled to the UWB physical layer and is configured to: receive access credential information from a separate second device; receive ranging information from the second device; grant access through a physical portal according to the access credential information and ranging information; determine a number of people intending to pass through the physical portal; and generate an indication according to the determined number.

Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer-storage media, for enhanced property access with video analytics. In some implementations, images of a first area captured by a camera are obtained. A number of persons in the first area is determined from the images. Data indicating one or more unique identifications is received. A number of persons who are authorized to access a second area are determined. Access is provided to the second area.

Gate system control device and method for controlling gate system

A gate system control device is a gate system control device configured to control a gate system having an exit gate, and includes a first sensor, a second sensor, and a controller. The first sensor senses that a passport of a person who is in the gate system is placed on a placement region. The second sensor senses that the person is moving. The controller controls the gate system. When the first sensor senses that the passport is placed on the placement region and the second sensor senses that the person is moving to the exit gate, the controller causes the gate system to execute processing for notifying the person.

Access control device for persons or vehicles
11255125 · 2022-02-22 · ·

An access control device (1) for blocking or opening a passage (2) for persons or vehicles. The access control device comprises one or two blocking bodies (3, 3′), each arranged on a carrier (4, 4′). Each blocking body (3, 3′) comprises a mechanically reversibly deformable element (5, 5′) which, in a first position, is substantially planar and opens the passage (2) and, in a second position, assumes a curved shape which blocks the passage (2). One or both ends of the deformable element (5, 5′) are connected to an actuator (7). A controller controls the deformable element for transferring them first between the first and second positions. When transferring the deformable element from the first to the second position, either the distance between the ends of the respective blocking body is reduced or, when the ends have a constant distance, the length of the blocking body is increased.

PASSAGE CONTROL DEVICE

A passage control device having a corridor (1) and at least one pedestrian barrier (3), which, by the use of at least one blocking element (5) which is arranged in the region of the corridor (1) and can be moved between a blocking position and a passage position, releases or blocks the corridor (1) for a passage. Lateral boundaries (2) are arranged right and left of the corridor (1). The lateral boundaries (2) have a module rail (6) that is close to the ground and is provided with receptacles for functional elements and/or functional modules of the access control device, more particularly with specifically adapted receptacles for functional elements and/or functional modules of the access control device, preferably in a predefined grid.

AIRBORNE ORGANIC MATTER DETECTION SYSTEM AND METHOD
20220042973 · 2022-02-10 ·

An aerosol detection system for detecting airborne organic matter, the detection system including a corridor extending along a longitudinal axis and having first and second ends; an access gate connected to the first end of the corridor and configured to control access of an individual to the corridor; a person detection system located in the corridor and configured to determine the presence of the individual inside the corridor; and a testing set configured to generate an air puff, which directs an exhaled breath of the individual for determining a presence of the airborne organic matter. The corridor has a width w.sub.c that allows movement of a single individual past the testing set.
