A method of enrolling a user at a biometric lockset is described. The method includes receiving user access information from a mobile device of an administrative user of the biometric lockset. The user access information indicates to the biometric lockset to enter an enrollment mode in which a user identity is associated with fingerprint data in a user entry within a memory of the biometric lockset. A plurality of different light codes are displayed on the lockset, each one of the plurality of light codes representative of a different state of fingerprint data capture. A message is transmitted to the mobile device, and corresponds to the light code displayed at the lockset. The completed fingerprint data is stored in association with the user identity of the user in the user entry.

A control system and method are provided for a station to dispense fuel to a vehicle, including an electric vehicle, without requiring dedicated access to a communications network, with the advantage that authorization for fleet vehicles or individuals can be obtained from an access management system, using a portable, wireless device, such as a smart phone or a dashboard appliance. The authorization is wirelessly relayed to the station by the wireless device, to enable the dispensing of fuel. Subsequently, a log comprising the transaction is provided to the access management system, through the same or a different wireless, mobile computing device. The log may also report status and other events, such as load shedding.

Method for operating a passive radio-based locking device and passive radio-based locking device with a mobile device as a transportation vehicle key
10252699 · 2019-04-09 · ·

A method for operating a passive radio-based locking apparatus of a transportation vehicle wherein the locking apparatus enables at least one access function of the transportation vehicle, wherein the passive radio-based locking apparatus includes a mobile device embodied as a radio key unit and a transceiver at the transportation vehicle, between which at least two electromagnetic radio signals are exchanged for the electromagnetic radio connection, and for the operation, one parameter of each of the radio connections of the passive radio-based locking apparatus is modified. Prior to enabling the access function, an identification feature of at least two data communication interfaces for setting up communication for the radio connections at the radio key unit and/or at the transceiver is modified and also each is set to a latest value, and the access function is enabled only in response to the relevant identification feature having the latest value.

Alarm scoring based on alarm event data in a storage environment having time-controlled access

According to some embodiments, a system is provided. The system comprises a computing system that is configured to receive an alarm signal from a premises monitoring system that is configured to monitor a premises, receive alarm event data associated with an alarm event, store the alarm event data associated with the alarm event in at least one data store of the computing system, enforce an access control policy on the alarm event data stored in the at least one data store, the access control policy restricting access to the alarm event data based on time and a plurality of roles of a plurality of users of the computing system, perform at least one analytics operation on the alarm event data associated with the alarm event, and update a value of a current alarm score based on an output of the at least one analytics operation.

Methods and systems for access control

A method of requesting access through a door may involve: causing a mobile computing device to receive an identifier of the door; and causing the mobile computing device to transmit an access request to an access-control system, the access request comprising data representing at least the identifier of the door and an access code. A method of controlling access through a door may involve: receiving an access request from a mobile computing device, the access request comprising data representing at least an identifier of the door and an access code; and in response to the request, allowing access through the door. Systems are also disclosed.

Universal Radio Receiver Apparatus and Method

In one aspect, a universal receiver is provided for being operably coupled to a movable barrier operator. The universal receiver includes at least one radio antenna adapted to receive signals transmitted at different frequencies and a controller operably coupled to the at least one radio antenna. The controller is adapted to determine a code of a signal received by the at least one radio antenna at any one of the different frequencies. The controller being further adapted to learn the code in response to a user-independent learning condition being met.

Forward single origin physical access verification apparatus, system, and method of operation
20190073843 · 2019-03-07 ·

A wireless apparatus controls physical access through a portal by forward verification of a single origin code submitted by a mobile application device. A system forward verifies a single physical access control code upon each successful physical access request. The apparatus sets a flag that triggers an action when a single origin code is received out of sequence. The controller receives a plurality of physical access requests from a plurality of mobile application devices. The controller determines for each mobile application device a sequence of access requests comprising at least a first access request and a second access request. Upon authenticating the first access request, the controller writes into storage a forward verification code specific to an immediately subsequent second access request from the same app device. Upon receiving a successor, the controller performs an authentication process by matching the stored forward verification code associated with the predecessor.
