Information processing apparatus, control program of communication terminal, and entrance and exit management method
Entrance and exit of a person is efficiently managed by simple authentication and registration of entrance and exit using a communication terminal carried by the person. An information processing apparatus includes a face information register that registers face information of registered users who are to enter into and exit from a place in association with the place, an information acquirer that acquires, from a communication terminal, position information of the communication terminal, face information of an applying user who applies to enter into or exit from the place, and application information for entering or exiting, a user authenticator that performs user authentication by comparing the face information of the applying user acquired from the communication terminal by the information acquirer with the face information of the registered users registered in the face information register, and an entrance and exit recorder that records, if the user authentication succeeds, that the applying user has entered into or exited from the place corresponding to the position information.
VERIFICATION DEVICE, VERIFICATION SYSTEM, AND VERIFICATION METHOD
A verification device used in a gate equipped with a restriction unit that restricts a flow of people. The verification device is provided with: a processing unit for performing, in a path in which there is a flow of people from a first area to a second area located upstream of the restriction unit, a second face image verification using a first candidate face image having been narrowed down by the result of first face image verification using a first image in which the first area is imaged and a second image in which the second area is imaged; and a communication unit for outputting the result of the second face image verification.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR AUTOMATED EQUIPMENT RENTAL
An equipment rental system comprising a kiosk, the kiosk comprising a user interface configured to receive user input and provide outputs to a user, a processor configured to receive the user input from the user interface, generate user output and control a locker system; and a locker system configured to store the equipment and allow access to the equipment under control of the processor, the processor configured to: receive log in and credential information form a user via the user interface, present the user a choice of equipment, receive a selection of equipment through the user interface, gather payment information from the user through the user interface, wherein the payment information corresponds to a period of use for the selected equipment, and control the locker system to make the selected equipment available to the user.
UV SANITATION SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A method for sanitizing a space includes positioning a plurality of light sources configured to emit light in a wavelength between 185 nm and 405 nm. At least one pathogen which is desired to kill in the space is determined. A contamination level of the pathogen in the space is determined with at least one sensor. A treatment plan is determined for emitting light from at least one of the plurality of light sources with a controller to eliminate the pathogen. The treatment plan includes a determination of at least one light wavelength in the range of 185 nm and 405 nm, at least one light intensity, and at least one duration of time at which to emit the light to kill the pathogen. Light is emitted in accordance with the treatment plan.
INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE, FACE AUTHENTICATION SYSTEM, AND INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD
Provided are an information processing device, a face authentication system, and an information processing method which can improve the processing speed for collation that uses a face image of a person passing through a specific area. This information processing device includes: an acquisition unit for acquiring an image that is obtained by imaging, at a first site, a person who can ride a vehicle moving to a second site from the first site; and a processing unit for determining, on the basis of information about a face image contained in the image, a candidate of a person who can reach the second site with the vehicle.
GATE DEVICE, AUTHENTICATION SYSTEM, GATE DEVICE CONTROL METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
Provided is a gate device that accurately determines a user who is an authentication target. This gate device is provided with an acquisition unit, a setting unit, and a gate control unit. The acquisition unit acquires an image from a camera. When a plurality of users are included in the acquired image, the setting unit specifies a user on the front row among the plurality of users in accordance with the respective positions of the plurality of users in the image, and sets the specified user as an authentication target person. The gate control unit controls a gate on the basis of a authentication result of the authentication target person.

SECURITY ECOSYSTEM
A system, method, and apparatus for implementing workflows across multiple differing systems and devices is provided herein. During operation, a workflow is automatically generated based upon a camera detecting denial of entry of an individual. The workflow can then be implemented or suggested as a newly-created workflow at other various entry points.
Portable monitored AED system and street furniture for an AED
A smart carry case which is effectively a portable GPS-enabled, AED monitoring system that is capable of monitoring an AED (as well as itself) and reporting back the presence, function and location of the AED to a remote host. Also disclosed is street furniture that is configured to retain, continuously monitor, and dispense an AED and communicate to a remote host (i.e., a control room). The street furniture is preferably configured such that a user presses the intercom button. In response, the street furniture contacts the control room. The control room, in turn, sends a signal to the street furniture causing the compartment to unlock so the AED can be removed and used in a rescue. The street furniture is configured to continuously monitor the AED and ensure it is functional, using a device such as has been described hereinabove. If the AED is used, an ambulance is deployed to the location. The AED that is retained in the compartment may be a smart carry case. As such, the presence, function, and location of the AED can be continuously monitored.
