The stationary sorting head includes a lower surface forming a coin path for directing movement of each of the coins, a stripping area of the coin path including at least one stripping surface operable to retain at least one coin when overlapping another coin such that the other coin is separated from the at least one coin by the motion imparted by the rotatable disc, and a queuing area of the coin path that receives the plurality of coins from the stripping area, the queuing area including a beveled surface curving substantially parallel with the outer peripheral edge of the resilient pad to guide the coins in a single file configuration to a discrimination area.
COIN DELIVERY DEVICE AND COIN PROCESSING DEVICE
Provided is a coin delivery device including a disc including a concave portion that holds a plurality of coins in a storage container one by one. A first concave portion that holds at least coins having a diameter equal to or larger than a first diameter, and a second concave portion that holds coins having a diameter less than a second diameter are provided in the disc. The first concave portion does not perform holding of coins having a small diameter or delivery of the coins to the next step, and the second concave portion performs holding of coins having a small diameter or delivery of the coins to the next step. Since the first concave portion does not hold two coins, and two coins are not put into the second concave portion, coins can be appropriately sent out one by one to the next step.
Coin batch loading device
The coin batch loading device of the present invention is a coin batch loading device capable of separating out coins one by one which were input as a batch and delivering them, including a cylindrical portion having an opening at the top and a side wall and a bottom wall, a rotor which is disposed inside the cylindrical portion and rotates about the center of the cylindrical portion, outer periphery sensors provided inside the cylindrical portion which detect one or more coins on an outer perimeter portion of the rotor, and a control device for controlling the rotation of the rotor, wherein if one or more outer periphery sensors detect one or more coins, the control device is able to set the rotational speed of the rotor to a medium speed which is lower than a high speed.
Coin sorting system coin chute
According to some embodiments, a coin chute for receiving coins exiting from a coin sorting system comprising a rotatable disc for imparting motion to the plurality of coins, a stationary sorting head having a lower surface generally parallel to and spaced slightly away from the resilient pad, the lower surface forming a coin path for directing the movement of each of the coins, and a reject slot, wherein coins exiting the reject slot travel in a first generally horizontal direction is provided. The coin chute comprises a lower tapered surface having a generally funnel shape having a larger perimeter at its top than near its bottom; and an upper generally vertical wall having an angled portion at an angle from the first horizontal direction coins exit the reject slot, the portion being positioned such that coins exiting the reject slot contact the angled portion and are directed in a generally horizontal second direction.
COIN PAD FOR COIN PROCESSING SYSTEM
A resilient coin sorting pad for imparting motion to a plurality of coins is provided, the resilient coin sorting pad designed to be coupled to a rotatable disc of a coin sorter, the resilient coin sorting pad being generally circular and having an outer periphery edge. The resilient coin sorting pad comprises a lower foam layer having a top surface, an upper skin layer coupled to the top surface of the foam layer, and a layer of mesh material. According to some embodiments, the upper skin layer comprises at least one layer of nitrile rubber and the layer of mesh material is nylon fiber mesh. According to some embodiments, the upper skin layer comprises at least two layers of nitrile rubber and the layer of mesh material is positioned between the at least two layers of nitrile rubber.
Coin distribution mechanism and apparatus for discriminating and conveying coins
A coin distribution mechanism for distributing coins into their denominations during conveyance is provided, which makes it possible to distribute two desired denominations of coins using a single gate member. A first gate member movable around a first axis is provided below a coin conveyance path. The first gate member is moved by a first position switching device among a default position where a gate is closed, a first switched position that allows a coin to drop through the gate to move in a first direction, or a second switched position that allows a coin to drop through the gate to move in a second direction. When a coin has a first (or second) denomination, the first gate member is moved to the first (or second) switched position. When a coin does not have the first and second denominations, the first gate member is located at the default position.
COIN FEEDING APPARATUS AND MONEY HANDLING APPARATUS
A coin feeding apparatus comprising: a disk that includes a plurality of protrusions on a surface of the disk, is disposed to be inclined and rotatable, and, when rotating, causes a first coin or a second coin to be caught on and carried upward by the plurality of protrusions, the second coin having a diameter greater than that of the first coin; a cover that forms, between the cover and a surface of the disk, a space for storing a coin therein; and a separation unit that separates one coin out of two of the first coins from the plurality of protrusions so as to cause the one coin to fall into the space, the two first coins being caught on the plurality of protrusions side by side.
APPARATUS FOR DISCRIMINATION AND CONVEYANCE OF COINS
An apparatus for discrimination and conveyance of coins achieves downsizing of this apparatus itself with a simple and low-cost structure compared with conventional ones. The apparatus includes a coin separation unit, a coin discrimination unit, and a coin conveyance and distribution unit. Coins separated in the coin separation unit are moved in a first direction through a first delivering region and delivered to the coin discrimination unit. The coins whose denomination and authenticity are discriminated in the coin discrimination unit are moved in a second direction approximately perpendicular to the first direction in a plan view through a second delivering region and delivered to the coin conveyance and distribution unit. In the second delivering region, a conveying direction of the coins is changed from the first direction to the second direction. The coins are distributed while being conveyed in the second direction in the coin conveyance and distribution unit.
SYSTEMS, METHODS AND DEVICES FOR COIN PROCESSING AND COIN RECYCLING
Currency processing systems, coin processing machines, coin sorting and recycling assemblies, and methods of making and methods of using the same are presented herein. A currency processing system is disclosed which includes a housing with a coin input area for receiving coins and coin receptacles for stowing processed coins. A disk-type coin processing unit includes a rotatable disk for imparting motion to input coins, and a sorting head for separating and discharging coins from exit stations. An automated coin chute receives coins from one of the exit stations. The automated coin chute includes a movable diverter plate that selectively transitions between a first position, whereby coins received from the exit station of the disk-type coin processing unit are redirected through a coin-recycling output passage to a coin-recycling receptacle, and a second position, whereby coins received from the exit station are redirected through a coin-depositing output passage to a coin-depositing receptacle.
COIN SEPARATING AND FEEDING DEVICE IN A COIN PROCESSING DEVICE
A coin separating and feeding device includes a separating and rotating body, a moving body, and a cover body. The separating and rotating body defines a concave portion defined in an upper surface and extending from each of an upper surface side and a peripheral surface side; and a separating concave portion disposed at a part of the concave portion and formed in a semi-circular shape by the moving body. The moving body is mounted at a rotary disk of the device, is configured to pivot about a support shaft, is pivoted by a drive means positioned under the rotary disk via a coupling body penetrating through a through hole defined in the rotary disk, and is configured to be moved from the coin receiving position to a coin delivering position when delivering coins. The cover body is disposed at an upper surface side of the through hole.
