Beverage forming station door for beverage machine
A method and apparatus for opening and closing a door of a beverage forming machine, e.g., for accessing a beverage forming station. The door may be opened by retracting the door into an interior space of the housing, e.g., by moving the door rearwardly. When at the closed position, at least one edge of the door may be flush with an adjacent outer housing portion.
CUP WITH FILTERING SYSTEM
A cup filtering system may include a main body, an inner bottle and a liquid filtering lid. In one embodiment, the inner bottle is slightly smaller than the main body and can be tightly inserted into a receiving space of the main body, and the lid can be secured on top of the inner bottle. In an exemplary embodiment, the inner bottle has a filtering mechanism at the bottom portion of the inner bottle. A control unit is disposed on top of the inner bottle to control open/close of the filtering mechanism. A lid filter can further filter the liquid filtered by the filtering mechanism of the inner bottle.
Adjustable brew head linkage
An adjustable brew head linkage includes a brew head linkage element, a handle linkage element, and an adjusting element between the brew head linkage element and the handle linkage element to smoothly increase and decrease the distance between the brew head linkage element and the handle linkage element to alter the size of a corresponding brew chamber to accommodate various brew pods. The brew head linkage element and/or handle linkage element may include a threaded portion to engage the adjusting element. Turning the adjusting element causes deflection. Threaded portions may have opposite handedness or different pitches. A secondary brew head linkage locking element provides friction to lock the adjusting element in place. The adjusting element increases and decreases the distance between the head linkage and the handle linkage in increments smaller than 0.178 millimeters ( 7/1000 inches).

A brewing device for a beverage preparation machine, in particular coffee or tea, the brewing device includes a frame, a brewing chamber carried by the frame and having a longitudinal axis and a loading/unloading aperture for a brewable material, a closing body movable relative to the frame from and to a closing position for the aperture, and an actuator device to move the closing body. The brewing device further includes a motor and a transmission arranged between the motor and the closing body; the transmission includes a rack-and-pinion mechanism including a driving toothing carried by the frame, and a driven toothing carried by the closing body and meshing with the driving toothing to move the closing body from and to its closing position.

COFFEE MAKING SYSTEM
A coffee making system includes a multi-use filter body. The filter body includes a base, a top portion, and a sidewall connecting the base and the top portion, the sidewall at least partially including filter material. The filter material is adapted to allow the passage of liquid and prevent the passage of coffee grounds.
