A system and method for automatic identification of photocopied documents is disclosed wherein the method is performed by capturing an image of a marked printed document; decoding a digital watermark embedded in the image, obtaining a mark identifier; recovering, by searching a database, at least one calibration parameter associated with the mark identifier; applying a discrete Fourier transform to the image, obtaining a frequency matrix; obtaining at least one maximum frequency value in the frequency matrix; comparing the at least one maximum frequency value with at least one calibration parameter; determining, on the basis of the comparison, if the marked printed document is an original document or a photocopied document.
Determination device, control method for determination device, determination system, control method for determination system, and program
A determination device selects a determination area included in a captured image acquired by an imaging data acquisition device, extracts a determination image of a preset target color from the selected determination area, binarizes gradation data of the target color in pixel regions constituting the extracted determination image by using a binarization threshold suitable for each determination area to acquire binarized reference binary data of the determination image, converts the gradation data of the target color in the pixel regions constituting the extracted determination image with respect to a dark portion of the determination image to acquire converted gradation data, binarizes the acquired converted gradation data by using the binarization threshold to acquire comparison binary data, and acquires, based on comparing the reference binary data with the comparison binary data, a determination value for determining a printing method used to produce a printed surface of a printed product.
Authentication method and system
A method for authenticating an object, comprising determining a physical dispersion pattern of a set of elements, determining a physical characteristic of the set of elements which is distinct from a physical characteristic producible by a transfer printing technology, determining a digital code associated with the object defining the physical dispersion pattern, and authenticating the object by verifying a correspondence of the digital code with the physical dispersion pattern, and verifying the physical characteristic.
METHOD, SYSTEM AND COMPUTER PROGRAM FOR COMPARING IMAGES
A method of determining whether a user of a mobile device corresponds to a previously authenticated user. The method comprises: acquiring a first image from the identity document, the first image being a photographic image and or a digital image; causing a camera connected to or integral with the mobile device to capture a second image, the second image corresponding to a user of the mobile device; comparing data indicative of the first image and data indicative of the second image, whereby to determine whether the first image and the second image represent the same user; and responsive to determining that the first image and the second image represent the same user, forming an association between the previously authenticated user and the mobile device.
SELF-ADAPTIVE IDENTIFICATION METHOD OF IDENTIFYING NEGOTIABLE INSTRUMENT AND DEVICE
A method and a device for adaptively recognizing a value document are provided. The method includes: acquiring a collection parameter, and collecting a photoelectric signal of the value document; acquiring a photoelectric signal correction amount, and performing digital compensation on the photoelectric signal; performing feature extraction on the photoelectric signal subjected to the digital compensation to obtain a feature vector; inputting the feature vector to a preset classifier for recognition, to obtain a recognition result of the value document; acquiring a specific region on the value document; acquiring feature information of the photoelectric signal of the value document; calculating an accumulation component and a differential error of the value document; calculating a total correction amount of the photoelectric signal; updating the photoelectric signal correction amount and the collection parameter; and outputting the recognition result.
Method and system for detecting staining
A method for detecting staining on a media item, the method comprising: capturing (22) a digital image of the media item, the digital image comprising a plurality of pixels representing color information of the media item; comparing (30) the captured digital image to a reference image, wherein comparing the captured digital image to the reference image comprises: generating a histogram for each of a plurality of kernel patches of the captured digital image, wherein each of the plurality of kernel patches of the captured digital image covers an area of the captured digital image, such that the entire captured digital image is covered by the plurality of kernel patches; comparing (40) the histogram for each of the plurality of kernel patches of the captured digital image to a histogram of a corresponding kernel patch of the reference image to generate a distance metric; and based on the generated distance metrics, determining if staining is present on the media item.
Method and system for masking of cheque image based on user access privileges
A method and system masks sensitive fields on a cheque image based one or more access privileges assigned to a user. The method involves receiving a cheque image at a cheque masking engine. A cheque template from one or more cheque templates is selected based on metadata associated with the cheque image. One or more zones of sensitive information associated with the cheque image are identified based on the one or more access privileges assigned to the user and a comparison with the selected cheque template. One or more characters are extracted from the one or more zones of sensitive information. The extracted one or more characters are aliased based on an aliasing rule. Another cheque image is generated by overlaying the one or more zones of sensitive information with the aliased one or more characters.
Method, system and computer program for comparing images
A method of verifying, by a processing system, whether a user of a device corresponds to a previously authenticated user. The processing system has access to a first image and a second image. The first image is an image of an identity document comprising an image of the previously authenticated user. The second image is an image captured by the device. The method comprises: comparing said first image to said second image, whereby to determine whether they are images of the same user; and, in the event that it is determined that the first and second images are images of the same user: encoding one of the first and second images using a one-way encoding algorithm; and, storing the encoded image as a validated image of the previously authenticated user.
