Further still, the dispenser may communicate storage status updates to a remote device on which a related application can be executed, for updating a current storage status, and presenting a notification to a user of the remote device, suggesting the purchase of additional consumable items to replenish the dispenser. The related application may further present the user with other types of purchasing-related information, such as cross merchandise opportunities, a retailer located nearest to the user/mobile device where the additional consumable items can be purchased from, as well as other shopping-related features and/or functionalities.

There is provided a product storage device for a vending machine capable of changing the length of each of gaps of a spiral member to store products without replacing the spiral member. The spiral member includes a first spiral member and a second spiral member which have the same rotation axis and a gap of the same length. The position of the first spiral member relative to the second spiral member is the rotating direction is changed to change the length of the gap formed by the first spiral member and the second spiral member.

A beverage container storage and dispensing device (“dispensing device”) (10) for storage and dispensing of beverage containers containing a beverage is provided. The dispensing device comprises a shell (12) that has a hollow interior. The dispensing device also comprises, located inside of the shell, a helical beverage container storage and dispensing track (22) (“dispensing track”). The dispensing track extends in a spiralling manner around and along a central support structure (24). The dispensing track defines a channel that is configured to receive and thus locate, in use, a plurality of beverage containers (19), each containing a beverage, in a substantially upright configuration in series there along such that, in use, beverage containers located higher on the dispensing track move downwardly along the dispensing track when a beverage container located lower on the dispensing track is removed from the dispensing track.

A beverage container storage and dispensing device (“dispensing device”) (10) for storage and dispensing of beverage containers containing a beverage is provided. The dispensing device comprises a shell (12) that has a hollow interior. The dispensing device also comprises, located inside of the shell, a helical beverage container storage and dispensing track (22) (“dispensing track”). An access and storage system including a storage component configured to store items therein or thereon in an associated storage position, wherein the storage component is configured to provide a user direct manual access to the items in the storage positions. The system further includes a sensor system configured to track at least one of the user's removal of an item from the associated storage position or replacement of an item to the associated storage position and an identification system for identifying the user. The system also has an authorization database operatively coupled to the identification system for tracking which of the items a particular identified user is authorized to access.

An access and storage system including a storage component configured to store items therein or thereon in an associated storage position, wherein the storage component is configured to provide a user direct manual access to the items in the storage positions. The system further includes a sensor system configured to track at least one of the user's removal of an item from the associated storage position or replacement of an item to the associated storage position and an identification system for identifying the user. The system also has an authorization database operatively coupled to the identification system for tracking which of the items a particular identified user is authorized to access.

A sub-seating delivery system for event seating venues. The sub-seating system may include a transfer system between a sub-seating conveyor belt and a lower base conveyor belt associated with a plurality of vendors who place orders thereon. The transfer system may incorporate a lift assembly that elevates orders from the base conveyor belt to a relevant sub-seating conveyor belt passing directly under a row of event seating. A delivery robot may be adapted to move an order from the sub-seating conveyor belt to a sub-seating container under a destination seat along the row of event seating. From the sub-seating container, a seated individual may access their ordered items without leaving their seat from which they electronically placed the order.
