Devices, systems, and methods for automatic pill dispensing are disclosed herein. An exemplary automatic pill dispensing device includes a temporary storage compartment, a feeding assembly, a dispensing route, a plurality of optical sensors, and a controller. The temporary storage compartment stores pills that are to be counted and eventually dispensed into a pill bottle. The feeding assembly is coupled to the temporary storage compartment and can move or stop the flow of pills into the dispensing route where the plurality of optical sensors count the pills as they pass by the light beams thereof. The controller receives a count from the plurality of optical sensors and stops the feeding assembly when a predetermined count of pills has been reached. Systems and methods utilizing the pill dispensing devices include incorporating a centralized computer and a conveyor belt system to accurately and efficiently dispense a plurality of pill types into pill bottles.

A tablet packaging device capable of shortening operation time required for packaging tablets for one tray. The tablet packaging device includes a packaging portion configured to accommodate tablets dispensed from a dispensing port into a tray. The packaging portion includes: a tray loading unit to which the tray is mountable; a tray unloading unit to which the tray accommodating the tablets is mountable; a tray driving unit, which is configured to removably support the tray, move the supported tray among positions of the dispensing port, the tray loading unit, and the tray unloading unit, and move the desired accommodation recess portion to the dispensing port for tablets; a tray attaching unit configured to attach the tray from the tray loading unit to the tray driving unit; and a tray detaching unit configured to detach the tray from the tray driving unit and place the tray on the tray unloading unit.

A packaging unit and method for packaging pharmaceuticals into pouches. The packaging unit includes a dispensing area to receive cassettes that contain pharmaceuticals and packaging equipment in communication with the dispensing area. The packaging unit also includes a control system coupled to the packaging equipment to control operation of the packaging equipment and a chute connecting the dispensing area to the packaging equipment. The chute includes a plurality of tracks, each track corresponding to one of the cassettes supported on the dispensing area. The packaging unit includes a receptacle supported by the packaging equipment between the chute and a feed stock roll. The plurality of tracks converge to direct the pharmaceuticals that are dispensed from the cassettes into the receptacle and the receptacle directs the pharmaceuticals received from the plurality of tracks as a group into the pouches formed by the feed stock roll.

A packaging unit and method for packaging pharmaceuticals into pouches. The packaging unit includes a dispensing area to receive cassettes that contain pharmaceuticals and packaging equipment in communication with the dispensing area. The packaging unit also includes a control system coupled to the packaging equipment to control operation of the packaging equipment and a chute connecting the dispensing area to the packaging equipment. The chute includes a plurality of tracks, each track corresponding to one of the cassettes supported on the dispensing area. A packaging unit for packaging pharmaceuticals into a pouch includes packaging equipment operable to form the pouch, a track configured to direct the pharmaceuticals toward the packaging equipment, and a receptacle coupled to the track upstream of the packaging equipment to receive the pharmaceuticals from the track. The receptacle includes a plunger. The pouch is formed around the plunger.

A storage container for a storage and dispensing station for a blister machine for separable small piece goods, such as drug portions and food supplement portions, and a storage and dispensing station are provided. The storage container includes a housing having an inside circular-cylindrical portion, a separating device arranged in the inside circular-cylindrical portion having a surface, as well as a retaining assembly. The separating device includes an electrically dischargeable discharging device, the discharging device having at least one discharging projection extending from the surface of the separating device as well as a discharging contactor coupled in an electrically dischargeable manner to the at least one discharging projection for electrically coupling the discharging device to an electrically dischargeable component of a dispensing station coupled to the storage container, the dispensing station having a drive.

An earplug dispenser for contactless operation by a user having a container portion for receiving a plurality of earplugs. A dispensing portion is coupled to the container portion. The dispensing portion has a motor and a rotor coupled to the motor. The rotor has a plurality of rotor openings to receive individual earplugs in each rotor opening. The dispensing portion also has a dispensing opening. The motor rotates the rotor to dispense earplugs through the dispensing opening.

An earplug dispenser for contactless operation by a user having a container portion for receiving a plurality of earplugs. A dispensing portion is coupled to the container portion. The dispensing portion has a motor and a rotor coupled to the motor. The rotor has a plurality of rotor openings to receive individual earplugs in each rotor opening. The dispensing portion also has a dispensing opening. The motor rotates the rotor to dispense earplugs through the dispensing opening.
