Provided herein is a system for automated dispensing of articles. Systems may include: a robotic arm; an end-of-arm tool attached to the robotic arm; a scanning device proximate the end-of-arm tool; and a controller to control the robotic arm and the end-of-arm tool. The end-of-arm tool may include a body and two or more vacuum cups extending from the body, where the controller controls a level of suction provided to each of the two or more vacuum cups individually. Each of the two or more vacuum cups extending from the body may be movable between a retracted position proximate the body, and an extended position away from the body of the end-of-arm tool in response to instruction from the controller. Suction may be provided only to the vacuum cups of the two or more vacuum cups that are disposed in the extended position.

Provided herein is a system for automated dispensing of articles. A packaging unit for packaging pharmaceuticals into a pouch includes packaging equipment operable to form the pouch, a track configured to direct the pharmaceuticals toward the packaging equipment, and a receptacle coupled to the track upstream of the packaging equipment to receive the pharmaceuticals from the track. The receptacle includes a plunger. The pouch is formed around the plunger.

A packaging unit for packaging pharmaceuticals into a pouch includes packaging equipment operable to form the pouch, a track configured to direct the pharmaceuticals toward the packaging equipment, and a receptacle coupled to the track upstream of the packaging equipment to receive the pharmaceuticals from the track. The receptacle includes a plunger. The pouch is formed around the plunger.

Examples associated with device component distribution are described. One example apparatus includes a set of receptacles for storing electronic devices. The apparatus also includes a rotary distribution compartment to store components associated with the electronic devices. The apparatus also includes an apparatus controller. The apparatus controller includes an authentication module to authenticate a user based on a credential provided by the user. The apparatus controller also includes a distribution module. The distribution module grants the user access to a member of the set of receptacles storing an assigned device to be provided to the user. The distribution module also controls the rotary distribution compartment to dispense components associated with the assigned device.

The invention relates to a tablet portioning device comprising multiple tablet containers, a collection device arranged below the tablet container and having a dispensing device, and a packaging device for packing the tablet portions in portions, wherein the collection device receives tablets from the tablet containers and dispenses them as tablet portions via the dispensing device, wherein a conveying device having multiple conveying trays and extending in a conveying direction connects the dispensing device with the packaging device, wherein the dispensing device dispenses a respective tablet portion in one of the conveying trays and the conveying device transports the tablet portions to the packaging device, wherein the conveying device has a dispensing unit via which the tablet portions are transferred to the packaging device in portions.

A packaging unit and method for packaging pharmaceuticals into pouches. The packaging unit includes a dispensing area to receive cassettes that contain pharmaceuticals and packaging equipment in communication with the dispensing area. The packaging unit also includes a control system coupled to the packaging equipment to control operation of the packaging equipment and a chute connecting the dispensing area to the packaging equipment. The chute includes a plurality of tracks, each track corresponding to one of the cassettes supported on the dispensing area. The packaging unit includes a receptacle supported by the packaging equipment between the chute and a feed stock roll. The plurality of tracks converge to direct the pharmaceuticals that are dispensed from the cassettes into the receptacle and the receptacle directs the pharmaceuticals received from the plurality of tracks as a group into the pouches formed by the feed stock roll.

A packaging unit and method for packaging pharmaceuticals into pouches. The at least one piece goods chamber is assigned at least one holder that is adjustable from a storage position to a transfer position in which the holder is disposed at least partially outside the piece goods chamber, for transferring the piece goods item to/from the piece goods box. The holder, in the transfer position, has two holding regions for holding the at least one piece goods item in the transfer position. In the transfer position, at least one free space is provided between the holding regions of the at least one holder that is accessible in the horizontal direction from outside the at least one piece goods chamber.
