Systems and methods for providing multi-factor authentication for vehicle transactions
Methods and systems are employed for completing a transaction via an internet-connected vehicle by leveraging a multi-factor authentication to compare vehicle identification information and user identification information based on stored information. In addition, methods and systems are provided for completing a transaction via an internet-connected vehicle by automatic enforcement of business rules (e.g., parental control spending tools, or employee spending tracking tools).
System and Method for Instructing Personnel on Washroom Maintenance Requirements
A system and associated method are provided for maintenance of a plurality of washroom facilities by maintenance personnel, wherein each of the washroom facilities has one or more consumable product dispensers that require periodic refill. For each of the washroom facilities, the product dispensers are configured with a sensor that detects a product level or amount condition of the product dispenser, the sensors in communication with a monitoring station assigned to the washroom facility. A set of instructions unique to each of the washroom facilities is generated based upon the detected product level or amount conditions of the dispensers in the respective washroom facility, the set of instructions including instructions as to the amount of product refill to be added to the dispensers. With an identification (ID) system configured within each washroom facility, maintenance personnel that enter the washroom facility are identified and provided with the unique set of instructions in a message via a mobile smart device carried by the maintenance personnel or an audio or visual display device within the washroom facility.
System and method for robotic, compact, mobile beverage station
A compact, mobile, robotic beverage station that may be deployed in any location for use. The compact and mobile nature of the beverage station allows the automated robotic beverage station to be deployed at any suitable location both indoors and outdoors. Further, various embodiments are self-contained in that the beverage station includes on-board battery supplied power, on-board liquid disposal (e.g., a holding tank) and on-board water supply. Further, the automated robotic nature of several embodiments provides for beverage selection, preparation and serving without labor costs as the robotic automated aspects can process inputs from communicatively coupled smart phone and the like. The beverage station includes a processor for receiving the beverage order, determining ingredients, controlling robotic components that select, mix and serve the ordered beverage and then handle financial transactions.
CONNECTED CAR AS A PAYMENT DEVICE
Methods, systems, apparatus, and non-transitory computer readable media are described for using a vehicle as a payment device. Various aspects may include receiving a selection of a stored financial card or financial account at a vehicle head unit. The selected financial card or financial account may be transmitted to a point-of-sale (POS) terminal for making a payment by transmitting a tokenized card number to the POS terminal. The tokenized card number may be transmitted over a very short-range communication link to ensure that the transmission is secure. For example, electronic circuitry may be attached to the exterior of the vehicle, where the electronic circuitry may be within a threshold distance (e.g. one inch, three inches, six inches, one foot, three feet, etc.) of the POS terminal. The tokenized card number may be transmitted from the vehicle head unit to the electronic circuitry and then to the POS terminal.
Fluid dispenser including a data transfer device, and system incorporating same
A system incorporating a fluid dispenser for dispensing chemicals includes at least one sensor for sensing fluid flow and a dispenser management unit. The dispenser management unit includes a processor and corresponding storage memory for storing firmware, at least one input for receiving sensor data from the or each sensor, a data transfer device comprising storage memory for storing the received sensor data, and a power source for powering at least the processor. The system further incorporates a portable terminal configured to receive data from the dispenser, and a remote server configured to receive the data from the portable terminal.
INTELLIGENT ELECTRONIC FUELING STATION COMPONENT PROVISIONING
System configuration data characterizing a configuration of a fueling station system that includes a fueling station controller and an electronic fueling station component, each located at a fueling station, can be received. Component configuration data characterizing a configuration of the electronic fueling station component can be received. A query can be determined based on the received component configuration data and the received system configuration data. The query can be provided to a remote database, and the remote database can be configured to determine, based on the received query, operation data characterizing data required to operate the fueling station system. The operation data can be received from the remote database. The fueling station controller and the electronic fueling station component can be configured to operate based on the received operation data and the received system configuration data. Related apparatus, systems, methods, techniques, and articles are also described.
Methods, systems, and devices for loading currency into an electronic wallet
Various methods, systems, and devices for loading currency into an electronic wallet are provided. In general, a currency acceptance terminal can be configured to accept currency from a user for loading into the user's electronic wallet, which may be used to purchase products from a merchant. The currency acceptance terminal can be unmanned such that the currency can be accepted and loaded into the electronic wallet without a cashier or other employee handling the currency or the currency acceptance terminal.
Systems and methods for detecting and reporting anomalies in utility meters
Systems and methods for utility intervention are disclosed. The method of utility intervention includes: obtaining utility data from a utility data repository, (ii) detecting, using at least one type of anomaly-detecting module, at least one utility anomaly and a location address; (iii) calculating an amount of financial savings for the utility anomaly if the utility anomaly was remedied or addressed; (iv) computing a certainty score for the utility anomaly; (v) conveying information about the type of utility anomaly, and the location address of the utility anomaly; and (vi) displaying, on a display screen of a client device, a map depicting a geographical area that identifies, using a flag icon, the location address on the map of the utility anomaly, the type of the utility anomaly, a certainty score for the utility anomaly, and/or an amount of financial savings associated with the utility anomaly.
Pump monitoring system
A fuel pump monitoring module for monitoring attributes related to a fuel pump at a gas station. The fuel pump monitoring module may have a body for attachment to the fuel pump. A transmitter or receiver is connected to the body and configured to communicate with a bioremediation dispensing unit using a transmission signal. A processor is connected to the body and configured to determine the location of the bioremediation dispensing unit relative to the fuel pump monitoring module based on the transmission signal.
System and method for communicating a token to a mobile device
A method of communicating a token to a mobile device includes a server or computing device issuing a token, the token defining a bond for a transaction associated with a vehicle and associated with an entity. The method also includes transferring the token to a mobile device. The token can then be communicated from the mobile device to a point of sale (POS) device to enable completion of the transaction associated with the vehicle.
