A parking facility access management system having a sensing device communicatively connected to the internet and to a mechanism for providing access to a parking facility. A mobile device is communicatively connected to the sensing device while in proximity to the sensing device, and also communicatively connected to the internet while not in proximity to the sensing device. As the mobile device enters proximity to the sensing device, the mobile device communicates exclusively with the sensing device and not the internet. In some embodiments, as the mobile device enters proximity to the sensing device, the mobile device sends a signal to the sensing device to alert the mechanism for providing access to provide access to the parking facility.
Computer-implemented system and method for providing guest parking reservations
A computer-implemented system and method for providing guest parking reservations are provided. Motor vehicle parking spaces located in a residential area are managed through a server. Smart parking devices and vehicle occupancy sensors that are each physically proximate to least one of the parking spaces are interfaced to the server. Use of one of the parking spaces for a guest of a resident of the area is reserved. A request for a reservation is accepted and that the resident is eligible to reserve the space is confirmed. The request is granted provided the parking space is available over any other reservations in the server. Use of the parking space is managed. Occupancy of the parking space by a vehicle is sensed through the nearest sensor. An identity of a motorist is verified through the nearest parking device. The use of the parking space is denied if not by the guest.
PARKING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND PARKING SPACE MANAGEMENT METHOD
A parking management system and a parking space management method are provided. In this system, intelligent parking locks are capable of performing two-way data communication with a cloud platform and executing an action instruction issued by the cloud platform, which realizes parking space sharing, open and intelligent management and monitoring. One-key navigation parking and one-key car searching can be realized since the intelligent parking locks include Bluetooth positioning and/or multiple GPS combined with mobile internet applications. The problems in searching for a parking space and searching for one's own car are hence well solved. Disclosed is a dynamic parking regulation method, from a set of payment terminals arranged on the roadway for the sale and issuing of at least rights to park, wherein each is associated with a right to park in a parking space, wherein the method includes the following steps implemented by each payment terminal provided with a data capture device that is designed to capture data that is representative of the occupation of the parking space close by: capturing data that is representative of the occupation of the parking space close to the given terminal with the aid of the capture device; and obtaining an updated right to park based on the occupation of a parking place determined as a function of at least the captured data, and issuing at least one right to park as a function of updated right to park.
Transmission of parking instructions with clearance distances to self-driving vehicles
An approach is disclosed that locates available parking spaces from a set of parking spaces, such as in a parking lot. The approach retrieves a clearance distance that needed between a parked vehicle parked in an adjacent parking space to the identified parking space. After retrieving the needed clearance distance, the system transmit an instruction to a self-driving vehicle to park in the identified parking space and leave the clearance distance between the self-driving vehicle and the parked vehicle.
Computer-implemented system and method for offering customer priority parking reservations
A system and method for offering customer priority parking reservations. Motor vehicle parking spaces are provided through a server. The server respectively interfaces with smart parking devices, vehicle occupancy sensors, and parking availability indicators that are each associated with the parking spaces. The parking spaces are reserved by accepting a request for a customer priority parking reservation from a merchant for a reservation period. Use of the parking space is managed through the server by activating the parking availability indicators associated with the reserved parking spaces, sensing occupancy of the parking spaces by a motor vehicle through the vehicle occupancy sensor, and retrieving and providing an identity of the driver of the motor vehicle through the nearest smart parking device to the server. The use of the parking space is validated from the merchant through the server.
PARKING METER SYSTEM
A parking enforcement device includes a weather resistant housing, a processor disposed inside of the housing, a memory disposed inside of the housing and coupled to the processor, a network interface disposed in the housing and coupled to the processor, and a first camera coupled to the processor. The camera monitors a first parking space. A second camera remote from the parking meter monitors a second parking space and is networked to the processor. The processor is configured to recognize when a vehicle enters either of the first and second parking spaces and to determine if a parking violation min either of the spaces has occurred.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING DISTRIBUTED ON-STREET VALET PARKING WITH THE AID OF A DIGITAL COMPUTER
A system and method for providing distributed on-street valet parking with the aid of a digital computer is provided. Parking spaces for valet services are reserved. One of the reserved parking spaces is designated as a valet drop-off parking space. A motor vehicle is detected in the valet drop-off parking space and a notification that the motor vehicle requires parking is provided to a valet of the detected motor vehicle. A search is conducted for the reserved parking spaces available for valet services for the motor vehicle. At least one of the reserved parking spaces available for the motor vehicle is identified and the motor vehicle is parked in the identified reserved parking space.
Computer-implemented system and method for proximity-based computer application control
A computer-implemented system and method for proximity-based computer application control is provided. A parking session of a vehicle is monitored via a first application and tracked by a second application. An initial communication connection status between the vehicle and a device associated with a user of the vehicle is obtained. At a later time, a further communication connection status is obtained. The further communication connection status is compared with the initial communication connection status. A determination is made that the parking session has terminated when a status of the further communication connection status differs from the initial communication connection status and is connected. A session termination instruction is transmitted from the first application to the second application to terminate the parking session.

Disclosed herein are smart locker vehicle devices and systems and methods for operating smart locker vehicle devices, and interacting with smart locker vehicle devices. In an embodiment, a system is disclosed that comprises a memory that stores computer executable components and a processor that executes the computer executable components stored in the memory, wherein the computer executable components comprise a transmission component and a locking component. In an aspect, a transmission component transmits data representing a code or identity authentication information to a set of storage compartments electrically coupled to a vehicle. In another aspect, a locking component is configured to unlock or lock one or more door associated with the set of storage compartments based on the transmitted data.
